So this is how meat SHOULD taste!? I’m not one to post a review, but I had to leave Belcampo some love after my recent experience there. People need to know about this place!! My friends and I were checking out the new mall and randomly ventured through their doors over the weekend. It was hands down the BEST burger I have ever had. I can honestly say that there wasn’t a single dish that I didn’t like. When you go, you have to try the carpaccio (appetizer) - an absolute MUST, and the Belcampo burger (aged 28 or 30 days, I can’t remember). I have never had meat that tasted so pure, so healthy, so fresh. I feel like I can never go back to the meat that I was previously eating. Thank you Belcampo for finally bringing true, farm fresh meat to NYC! We’ll definitely be back soon. Ps their cocktails are amazing as well. Try the daiquiri (so refreshing) and the one with creme de peche (”Familiar Face”, maybe?) which was super refreshing and light, yet not too sweet given the ingredients

Not outrageously priced like the other options in the area, but the taste and quality of the food is solidly mediocre. Burger was a bit dry and didn't have much flavor

High prices for a poor experience. Their counter menu is not complete. Doesn't say anything about fountain drinks or the bone broth even though they do sell both. Menu does have iced tea but they were out of it. Hard to find seating. Food comes on plates that are too small. Out of napkins. Burger meat was good but underseasoned, and it was falling over (no care taken in assembling it). They have a sit down area to the left that I didn't realize existed until after I had ordered at the counter. I recommend they add a sign to make that more obvious.

Staff was inattentive and rude, and once we ordered our food, we didn't have a place to sit. The prices are way too high for the portions they were selling. The whole place reeks of rich white New Yorker culture. Waited 30 minutes for food that wasn't even started. Got out money back and left. I'd say stay away.

Very fresh food! And the steak salad is amazing

Anastasios Kontogiannis

Tasty burger, juicy and properly cooked, but service is bad, it takes for ever to prepare it. There wasn’t a big line, only 3 customers ahead of me, but I waited for 25’ for the burger to be ready.

This spot has fast casual section serving burgers and bone broth. We had the Single Fast Burger, Sausage sandwich (basically a hot dog), fries and beef and pork bone broth. The burger was ok, nothing fascinating, fries were disappointing but the sausage was good and so was the bone broth. Overall, a good option if you’re in the area and need a bite without the wait.

Jordan Kaplan

Long waits for fast casual, very ok and overpriced

Allison Card

Avoid this place, been waiting now 50 minutes for a cheeseburger, people that ordered after and way after received food first, people are at countertop demanding their food. They are very disorganized and cannot handle large crowds.

Ordered a burger with fries, got a burger with hair on it. The only concession offered was to take the burger back to replace it with another one. Needless to say, I will not return.

Drinks were delicious and staff lovely but food was totally mediocre. Chicken cutlets are like a kids meal. You guys can do better!

30 minute wait for a $40 glorified burger.. server with turban was nice but the service was really really slow. Other servers are just standing there doing nothing. And when you call onto them they give you an attitude like its not their job to help you. Especially the thin black guy. Portion sizes are inconsistent, Food was cold and alot of customers looks dissatisfied. The whole experience was disappointing. Definitely Not worth your time and money. Only bring someone here if you both want to rip your hair out of your scalp.

The service and food was excellent

Visited Hudson Yards on its second weekend open and there was an hour+ wait at every restaurant with wait service. Belcampo's menu looked good, we left our name and #, and walked around figuring if they called us before we left, we'd have the option of eating there. The timing worked perfectly and our booth at Belcampo was a nice place to enjoy a bite before heading out. The wait staff was very nice, though the food took a long time to be seved. We loved the Bacon and Kale salad (which they prepared without anchovy at my husband's request and with anchovy for my daughter and me ... they delivered his separately so there wasn't any uncertainty of which order was which, which was nice) and the Brussels sprouts side was fantastic. The burger wasn't as flavorful as I hoped -- I ordered it rare and it wasn't over cooked but just too lean for my taste. The Michelata cocktail was a fun and spicy accompaniment to our meal.

Edwin Garcia

I ud an amazing burger here... my mom got the Italian wedding soup, my wife a salad with sliced steak and my daughter a chicken sandwich... service was great and the food as well... thank you!

(Translated by Google) Super nice bartender and great meat from their own farm, very good advice. You get great tips for special drinks, even if it's just beer.

Tamara Lynch

Trudy was amazing at the door. We had 6, loaded with hungry kids from the Auto show and hungry moms. She got us a table right away where the kids were given toys and their orders taken immediately. It was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise jaded city. I highly recommend Bel Campo they have a little something for everyone including kids menu and a full bar. Take a load off from the Hudson Yards crowds and visit Belcampo.

The personalized service I received from Belcampo's GM Angela is unparalleled. Thank you again for your help and understanding.

This place is a fresh take from the west coast and the hidden gem of Hudson Yards. Meatcentric- with a clean taste.

Ordered the steak for two ($95), medium rare, came out primarily medium well and well done. I just don’t get as a steak place how you can send out a specialty dish like that and think it is okay. It was nearly 11pm and it takes 40 minutes, so I just ate it. Service is just, I don’t know, weird. After we ordered the steak for two he says it’s gonna be 40 minutes. We are at a small table, but he immediately comes back and puts a dish and steak knives in front of us. Now table is literally covered with 40 minutes until food comes out. Jesus, this meal was $175, for two, don’t do it.

Gilbert Haddad

Terrible place. Messed up order, takes forever, overpriced. Really nothing going well for it. Never stepping s foot again in this place

The drinks here are amazing, great bartenders and the double fast burger is my dream burger

20 minute wait for basic to go food AFTER the order. Food wasn’t even that good. Not worth the hassle. Just go to Shake Shack

Organic, pasture raised animals are the only animals I want to be eating. It’s rare to go out for an affordable meal and feel this good about the quality of food you’re getting. Loved the burger and steak tartare!

Disorganized mess, food is just OK -- During lunch this place is a mad house, with well-meaning but ultimately ineffectual service. I wanted a simple chicken Cobb salad. The salads labeled as such in their refrigerator were not actually chicken or Cobb salads of any kind. A staff member assured me they could whip one up quickly so I completed my order with the cashier. Then I had to fight to get attention after waiting a long time with no salad in sight. They hadn't started on it and really didn't until I walked over to the salad prep area in the kitchen and personally requested the guy making salads to prepare it, showing the receipt for my order. The $20 chicken Cobb salad was ... fine. Nothing special. However there were other patrons who were very upset with the quality of the food. While I waited one customer returned to the counter to exchange a salad which she said had spoiled. (The cashier looked at it and agreed that the ingredients had clearly spoiled. How it was served to a customer like that was unclear.) Two stars rather than one because there's some vague whiff of potential in this concept, but currently execution is abysmal.

Sadly the burger didn't match the extreme hype. While the meat itself was pretty good, the burger overall was an extreme let down. Glad we got their early and didn't wait in like to try this. It's a very small burger for $12. Fits within the palm of your hand, if not smaller., like the size of an In-and-Out burger. The duck fat fries tasted virtually the same as the regular fries just a bit crispier, but double the price ($6 vs $12). The service itself was bad. When we asked the server what was in their Brussel sprout side her response was, "I don't know" followed with a stare and silence. Expecting a better reply she said she guessed butter. Also if you get something in their takeout side enter on the RIGHT side of the RESTAURANT (although they have some seating area for this). Sit down is on the LEFT. There's no signage so this can be confusing. Also they don't tell you where to pick up your takeout food as there's no sign where to get it (counter past the bone broth, but before the host stand). Um, train your staff better! Also be mindful to check your receipt. We got two of the burgers and she charged us $16 per burger. Quite a markup for the $12 listed on their menu! 1 star - meat was good 1 star - environment was nice You don't get the value for what you pay for. Service was bad and the hyped burger was underwhelming. For the same price you could get 2 tasty burgers a few steps away @ Shake Shack on the same floor. Or better yet, go to Au Cheval in Tribeca for the same price and get a REAL burger more than double the size and get extreme value.

Ok I know it’s busy and I’ll go back to see if the growing pains get fixed. 1st of all the staff is super nice and accommodating. That said we had several people bring the wrong food to us. Once the food arrived is the issue. The lamb over cauliflower was tasty but spicy. We asked for some yogurt sauce we were told the kitchen ran out. Ok. The meat was cooked as asked and properly seasoned. That said it was tough as shoe leather A steak knife would have been welcomed instead of the generic all purpose one given. The real let down was the Tom Kha Gai soup. Thick and brown is far from what this soup is suppose to be. If I didn’t know any better I would have guessed instant. It offered none of the qualities of an average version The wine list wasn’t so impressive either. Being that the concept is organic sourced and farm to table how are their wines not the same is surprising. Like I said I’ll amend this review next month hopeful that the kitchen works out the kinks. The wonderful staff deserves this

We took our cousin to celebrate her birthday, she works at CNN in the building. The service was awful, soup served cold couldn't eat it, very disappointed. The salad was below par as well. Need more well trained staff to improve.

David Miller

Juicy burgers, hot .... prompt service. Loved it!!!

Dennis Wong

Food is decent but the place is too busy during weekend, which resulted in a longer than usual wait time (over 45 min for burger and susauges) and meal was missing a salad. There was also a wait for table.

Terrible. Extremely overpriced and chicken was purple.

I live right across the street, I tried this restaurant a month after they opened. I figured the food was average because they had just opened and they were adjusting. I wanted to try it again so I ordered a couple of burgers using Seamless. My order was in by 7 PM the ETA was 7:25 PM, I got it delivered at 8:05 PM Obviously they don’t know what it takes to be in the delivery business either especially for neighbors that live across the street. I have to say the burgers the fries and the kale were not bad, The meat was a little on the overcooked side, the taste of the burger was better than average plenty of meat but not as tasty as some of the burgers out there. The experience kills it. I will try them again later to see it it’s worth continuing to order or go eat. I was really hoping for this place to have great burgers so I could just go there all the time.

Kevin Grube

Average food at higher prices and slow service = a below average review...

Ryan O'Loughlin

Great food and even better service! Burger was cooked perfectly. Fresh food! Would definitely recommend.

Discovered this place while strolling through the new Hudson Yards shopping mall. They have two sections... A more formal sit down restaurant in one side, and a more casual, place your own order, and seat yourself section on the other side. We ate at the serve yourself counter. Ordered burgers and hot dogs, including the beef marrow bone-French fries. The food was decent, and the service was cheerful. Prices are commensurate with the upscale setting... But not as expensive as the sit-down section.

If you’re eating here, then you’re a tourist who probably ate at the Applebee’s in Times Square last nite. Pros: Free refills on the soda. Cons: prices are ‘ambitious.’ Service is unenthusiastic. Food is mediocre at best. Oh, and you have to stand around for 20 minutes as there aren’t enough tables to eat at. We ordered the kale Caesar salad (very small portion), cheeseburger (flavorless meat - go to shake shack instead), and the $13 duck fat fries (which had been sitting under a heating lamp for awhile and tasted like Wendy’s fries)

Too salty

Upmanu Lall

visited for lunch ordered a Chicken Cobb Salad ($16)and a Sausage Sandwich ($10) Served after 30 minutes. The CObb Sald was in a plastic container, did not taste fresh and based on the label was prepared yesterday The Sausage Sandwich had a sausage, a tiny bit of sauerkraut and a red souce on a typical bun -- nothing exceptional Basically mediocre, overpriced food, even for Hudson Yards as the venue

Boris Bereznyak

Aaron Bohenick

Overpriced and underwhelming

Nick Yeager

For the price I was extremely let down. Our burgers were extremely salty and the bottom bun was completely soggy.

One of the great places to eat at this high end shopping center. Try their duck fries

Derek Yarbrough

The meat is delicious. Shared a burger and a steak -- both excellent. The servers are very friendly. They just need a little more time work out the operational kinks and better train the staff. Planning to go back in a month.

Griffin MacPherson

Horrible wait time and service. People who came after got their food before. Many people asked for refunds!

Dallin Wardrop

Food was good but VERY underwhelming. Expensive for what you get. I would not eat here again.

Marie Chang

Julian Contreras

Really poor service and overpriced

Mavile Zivatdinova

They have two sections: one with waiter service and one to go. We’ve been to both. The section with waiter service is okay except they sat us near the garbage. The other section is where all the fun begins. The staff is unprofessional, food is not that good and takes too long to prepare. Plus it’s kinda expensive. I wouldn’t mind paying $21 for a salad if it was a good salad with nice and attentive crew members.

Lydia Stubbs

This is by far the best place to get your meats..... Having a BBQ? This place will handle all your needs. Just making a quick dinner? They'll take care of that too. Now days it's hard to find good tasting meats. Their meats are a cut above the rest. You won't go wrong. You'll love the friendly honest service you get here.

Stéphane Dion

Worst meal in NYC ever. Period. Just avoid this way too overpriced place. McDonald is a much better option!!!! LOL

Dan Overholt

The food and drinks are good, but the service seemed a bit scatterbrained. This place just opened up, so I'd imagine that the service will get better once the grand opening rush is over.

Over 20 minute wait for a burger and fries is ridiculous. I was the only one ordering takeout. No one before or after me for the entire 20+min wait. Burger was tasty but not enough to cover the hefty cost. Don’t get the duck fat or beef tallow fries. I saw both being fried in the same vat of oil and then after, they just squirt the flavor on the cooked fries. Not worth $12/order for a squirt of oil.

Mr XP

An eatery with delicious organic grass-fed meat, great fries, warm service, reasonably priced burgers and sandwiches, and relaxing vibes. Self-service and table service are both available. Advance reservation on line is strongly recommended especially on weekends, since this is a popular place at Hudson Yards.

Haneen Kharoub

Dude Pines

wait time was very long for a burger

Olivier Sentucq

This place is a joke. $50 for two sandwiches and fries for a place that looks like a fast food. Food was fine but options limited and again, price way too expensive for quality

David Murguia

Hands down the most mediocre set of burgers and fries for $40 that I’ve ever had. The “fast-casual” spot took 40 minutes to get us our food. It’s unclear that the first entrance is to-go only making for a confusing experience when everything gets delivered in boxes and then you’re told your not allowed to sit at the tables. Also, the duck fat fries are a joke. Literally 3x the price of a side add on fries but look and taste exactly the same. Throughout every point of the customer experience I kept questioning why i hasn’t just gone to shake shake to get burger that’s twice as tasty at half the price.

Jie Liu

Food was decent and service was friendly.

David Herszenson

This place has not figured it out yet. I ordered the only vegetarian thing on the "fast" menu which was a simple salad. After waiting over half an hour, I was brushed off when I asked about my order being told it was coming, "my dear", which I found condescending. After another 10 minutes, I was told the same thing. It took getting the manager to make the staff to make my salad, which didn't taste all that good anyway.

Michael Niu

Delicious, the lamb burger tastes a little salty

Michelle Meyers

Nothing vegetarian friendly on this menu. I do eat poultry once in a blue moon (only 2-3 options vs the rest of the menu which was red meat/lamb/pork) so I tried the duck fat poutine. Gravy was cold with chunks of clear jelly. I didn’t eat the actual duck meat and picked around the gravy. The side salad was good but overpriced for literally lettuce and dressing nothing else. Very disappointed

Belcampo at the Hudson Yard was delicious ! Quick service and a very friendly staff! Host, server and bartenders were phenomenal! I ordered the Brussels sprouts which were perfectly crisped & a big spicy which was a nice touch. French fries cooked to perfection with ketchup and a special sauce. I also ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with bacon & arugula ! Delicious. My friend got the double burger which she enjoyed as well! Great experience ! Definitely recommend and will definitely we going again !!!!!!!

Samantha Gaines

Truly horrible service, our waitress was rude and threw out the food we hadn’t finished that we asked to have in a to go box. My “medium” lamb burger was raw. If you want a burger at Hudson Yards, you’re better off at shake shack.

ZHIZHOU LIN

Food is good but not worth the price, definitely go Shake Shack instead. What upsets most is the service. 20mins wait and I finally got my food by visiting the counter myself and asking what’s going on. Oh, by the way, when I ordered the food, I was trying to order the add-on fries listed on the menu($4), and was told that no add-on exists instead we need to order a side($6). However, after I witnessed a couple seat next to me got the full refund for the same thing and the counter refused to admit it when I reached them again...... I’ll skip the rest of the experience so that I won’t ruin a starting business, specially when another friendly staff and the manager finally solved the issue. But, rude, ignorant, untrained, will be my description for the servers in counter.

Denise From DC

My lamb bowl was $17 and mostly fat instead of meat. It did have tasty seasonings, though. My companions both had burgers. They got just a burger on a big plate and it was $4 extra for fries. Tasty but not worth the price.

Bianca Pardini

Officially the best burger in NYC. Also obsessed with their organic bone broth on tap! Incredible quality and you can taste the difference when you’re eating grass fed and finished organic beef!

Christina Ströhmann

I ordered at the counter so I can't attest to the service, but the burger was excellent. The patty was well seasoned, though I felt it was a little on the lean side. Either way, there are maybe a couple of burger places that I think can compete.

Ilias Iusupov

Been to this place twice and never coming back. Unprofessional staff and overpriced burgers which take forever to prepare. Just go to shake shack around the corner and save your money and nerves.

A great spot for Italian-"inspired" sit-down lunch when you want a bit more variety than at a nowadays run-of-the-mill $10-per-burger that are seemingly everywhere. The menu is not huge but refreshingly comprehensible. A serviceable bar and a selection of signature cocktails. Some vegetarian options.

Oksana Prokopiv

Very rude staff. Took me forever to order one ice tea. One of the girls literally moved my daughter to get napkins for someone. Won’t recommend to everyone.

US1 Auto Sales Inc.

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. Native New Yorker, came to check out Hudson Yards and stumbled in. Staff was really attentive and conversational. Had a great discussion with some of the bartenders. Would definitely come back. Solid aperol spritz.

Jasmine Ruiz

So I just finished my meal at Belcampo, and I have to say I was really disappointed. I know they're just opening but the quality of service we received today was not worth the amount of money we paid for the food. I don't usually write reviews but I felt that being a restaurant in Hudson Yards needs to meet a certain caliber of service and today just was not that day. I'm giving them 1 star, because our server was very nice, other than that everything was not so great. We waited more than 30 minutes for our food after we had ordered. My boyfriend ordered the 100 Day Burger with a bone broth add on. When his plate came out it literally was a large white plate with nothing but a small burger on it. Not even a garnish. And that was $30. I ordered the steak frites, and when it came out, the meat was cold and the portion was way smaller compared to the guy at the table next to us who ordered the same thing. My boyfriend's burger did not come with his bone broth and after a good 20 minutes into the meal, and after trying to flag down a server for 10 minutes because I had to ask if we could have more water and ketchup, they told us they had run out of bone broth and that it would be taken off our bill. At this point I just wanted to finish my disappointing meal and leave. But unfortunately had to wait another 20 minutes to get our check, which I had to flag down another server for. After waiting again to pay, I was so fed up I didn't wait for the check to come to the table I just walked up and gave them my card. Even the couple next to us complained to the manager about their meal and the family before was not very happy when they left. I would not recommend going here until after they get these issues fixed.

Manuel Latorre

Great fresh farm to table food at a reasonable price!

There are times I read reviews before I go to places and I can understand why they don't get the best reviews... THIS WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE TIMES! Belcampo was an exceptionally wonderful experience. Not only were we met with a friendly hostess, we also had the most informative server. Tony not only made amazing cocktails but, he was also extremely informative about the food and the restaurant. I couldn't have asked for a better server. We ordered the Duck Confit Poutine to start and WOW! So yummy but I was even more impressed with the texture. How they managed to keep the fries crispy to the bite with all of that duck meat, cheese and duck fat on top of them is beyond me. Also, I didn't find it the least bit overwhelming. Everything was flavored to perfection. For our main dish we ordered the Butcher to Table. All of the meat was cooked to our desired temperature. You can literally taste the freshness of their meat. I don't know if I have ever had farm to table meat before but, this was an experience I won't soon be forgetting. Whomever they have on the grill really is an expert! They not only grilled the meat to perfection but, it was also flawlessly seasoned. Don't sleep on their cocktails either. I am adding the Pick Up Sticks to my list of favorite cocktails and my partner was extremely impressed with the Midnight Cruiser. Overall Belcampo proved to be a winner and I can't wait to go back and indulge again!

(Translated by Google) Excellent!!!! A discovery this restaurant, which is the only one in NY. We arrived by chance and it was very busy, so not to wait we chose to eat at the bar. And it was a pleasure because the people they serve are very friendly. And the food was delicious !!!!! The belcampo hamburger totally recommended. With a different flavor to the typical hamburger, spectacular meat and very good bread. Crispy and well spiced french fries, as well as salad and carpaccio. And finally a delicious tatin cake !!!!! It is worth a visit. (Original) Excelente!!!!

5 stars for the burger, 3 starts for the service. I hope they’re working on improving how this great product is delivered to the customer.

An amazing experience. Delicious food, well prepared. Great service. I will be back.

Late lunchtime Friday. But breakfast is my favorite meal. I'm way past the hype of any hamburger offering. I opted to sit at the counter solo at Belcampo. Note you will really bend over to locate and discover the coat / bag hook under your marble counter. The curiosity of bone broth on tap bought me here. I learned there are three choices pork, poultry and lamb. I got a cup of lamb broth. The taste was okay. The taste informed me I could get into making my own broth of choice at home...proactively and add lots of spices. I got the all day breakfast sandwich with eggs over easy and a side of sausage and regular fries delivered in a ceramic bowl. The sandwich was good and held onto the eggs and arugala and bacon. I really enjoyed my cocktail "To the Nines" I'll be back.

Julian Schvartzman

Not recommended. The hamburger had no flavor and was burned, and it took them forever to prepare it. Save yourself 20 or 30 bucks and go to Shake Shack instead for a tasty burger -- it's on the same floor just a few steps away.
