I don't about these other reviews but I have always been treated well. They have been professional, kind, and very helpful. They throughout some ideas for cooking and pairing wines/other foods, etc. Overall, their prices are fair, their meats are tasty and large, and the staff is kind. My only true complaint is the lack of credit card use. I'll be putting in an order for ribs after this so, I hope this helps.

We're the 2nd generation of my family that shops at Sabatos. They are consistently wonderful. The butchers are so helpful and kind. They always make suggestions and give cooking advice. The meats are wonderful and a much better quality than you get at a grocery store. I recommend this shop to everyone!

Amazing selection of meats and a very helpful staff make this my one of the best places I shop. Their homemade sausages are fantastic and we love their meatloaf! They have great specials too

I grew up shopping at Sabatos meat market in the 70s and 80s on 16th Avenue in Irvington this place always been superb. I was served by the brothers who came to work as a family everyday except Sunday I ran into sabatos in monmouth county 2005 an all my childhood memories came rushing back to me. The smell of sausages hand made were the best hanging in the shop.

Always delicious and fresh meats! Local small business butcher shops don't exist anymore, but neither does the quality that Sabatos has!!! SUPPORT THIS ONE!!

Has gone down hill in the last couple years. Much of the meat is sealed in vacuum bags & shipped to the shop. Just before Fathers Day weekend, they didn't even have Prime Rib! Didn't even try to substitute something else to make a suggestion, just said 'we don't have it'. I've been trying for years to get beef ribs, but they won't even order them. At my local Shoprite, not only did the butcher have the Prime Rib I wanted, but beef ribs too. He said to come in anytime. They have them. Now wondering what the point of a butcher shop is, that doesn't have a popular meat or the ability to order a special item. I won't go back.

Having just recently moved to the area this place was Highly recommended by a neighbor. In all my life I have NEVER been treated so badly. Looking for something to be made (many other butchers in other places have done this for me (bacon wrapped rib eye). I described to the person at the counter what I was ISO. He chuckled and looked at the other people behind the counter and told me flat out, "yes I could do that but WON'T". We don't make anything here what you see is what you get. Clearly customer service is a forgotten art form lost between generations of this family owned business. They will never see me in there again and I will be sure to spread the word to what pompous arrogant asshats these people are.

Terrific place, terrific service. John and Andy sourced a 60 lb pig for a pig roast. Very fresh and delicious

Walked past a giant, handwritten, neon sign saying "No credit / debit, Cash Only!" sign on the front door while entering. As another reviewer had written regarding their meats, I was offered a 17 lb vacuum sealed prime rib that they couldn't cut to order. They offered to remove the packaging and trim it, but were not able to give me something in the 10-12 lb range. For upwards of $200, payable in cash only, I'll go somewhere else. Their sausage has been fantastic, in the past. Did not try it this visit. For what it's worth, the man behind the counter was quite friendly.
