Used to go to Rosarios a few times a year and when I did, it wasn't for a small purchase but a combination of meats, prepared food and groceries. To be fair, prepared foods for the most part are good as is the meat. The bread on the other hand is consistently poor. Today unfortunately was the last straw. The female co-owner has quite the attitude but will never see my money again. I took one taste of the prepared pasta I purchased today and threw it out. Again, is was the owners nasty attitude that caused this. Apparently her net worth is such that she no longer needs customers or money. Perhaps someday I will have her wealth.

Can’t say enough good things about this crew, other than if you live in the area and haven’t been, go!! If they don’t have what you’re looking for they will get it within a day or two. Always the best meats and best service.

Just a heads up... if you call in a order, when you arrive they will make you wait in the line out the door just to ring you up. They will not tell you this ahead of time, and instead just yell at you when you get there and try to pay without waiting a half hour for people to have their sandwiches made ahead of you. Here’s an idea, just don’t take orders for sandwiches in advance? What’s the point of even taking my order, telling me it will be ready in 20 minutes, then making you wait in the sandwich line just to pay? Makes no sense. It’s a shame, I really wanted that sandwich, but at the end of the day the management of this place is just rude and didn’t deserve the business it gets.

America stole a prize from Calabria...Rosario. Don't waste anytime, get the best there is now, before Rosario retires and moves back to Calabria with Michelle...the Sophia Loren of cooked Italian food. Nothing comes close. Now, I live in Charlotte and all we have is Enzo the Fishface for a butcher. He's no good. Unless I come back to NJ and get my food from Rosario, life will never be the same. Don't be cheap and get fake stuff from ShopRite. Get the real deal from Rosario.You will live longer.

Chicken sausage, as well as both kinds of pork sausage, are made with only fresh spices, not dried... using mostly organic and superior meats, this is the best sausage in this region. Rosario is the best, a real Italian bringing authentic, European heritage to north NJ.

I'm giving Rosario's two and half stars. On two occasions, this year, I purchased almost $100 worth of selected cut ground beef for a specific burger blend (each time). On both occasions, I found the woman behind the counter to be extremely rude ON BOTH OCCASIONS as she rushed me to complete my purchase while I was asking questions to the butcher. The meat product was superb however I am conflicted with returning back to spend my money because of this woman's poor customer service. I am an advocate of supporting my local businesses and this is one business which I would of liked to frequent more often. Maybe this review will help improve certain aspects of this woman's future interactions with customers.
