My mother has been going to lbi for the past 50 years and has been going to Oakies for the past 15 years. She loves it! However, she bought a rotisserie chicken and it was like a charcoal, dry and burnt. She only noticed when she got home, we tried to eat it but it was not eatable. She brought it to Oakies to show them and let them know that the chicken wasn't good, they threw the chicken back at her and gave her 10 bucks like she was trying to take advantage of them.

Great butcher, like most places on the island if you get there any time after 10am your going to wait. Worth it every time though, top notch meats and salads. Staff also works quickly to get you in and out.

Okies is absolutely the BEST!! Their meats are always fresh and the NY Strip is the thickest. Okies puts all others to shame. They have their own BBQ sauce, Awesome! I couldn't wait for them to open back up in March. I stop every Friday as soon as I get paid. Need I say more.

I hated this place because the owners son acted like a smarty pants and said their was a McDonald's in lbi 10 years ago that went out of business. I know that is false, he is a little disrespectful trumpet. And it's so over priced.
