I saw them unloading meat... Two words: Totally unsanitary - why would the walk on top of the meat when unloading a shipment from the food truck? Just organize your stuff better so that you don’t have to compromise food safety.

Good local italian grocery store. I enjoy the meat dept. I appreciate the classic items available. My only gripe .they should up the quality of vegetables they have. Now a days you can get some really nice fresh from the farm quality vegetable. I think the neighborhood would appreciate it

The only place left in Brooklyn to get real Italian food and products. 20 years ago when the neighborhood was Italian it was the only place my family shopped. I am happy to say Frank and Sal has gotten better over the years!

Excellent place to get Italian foods. Hopefully it'll be around many more years. Another of the last holdouts of the once predominantly Italian American neighborhood that hasn't yet changed into an Asian nail salon or an Arabic Halal store!

Great meat / sausage / cheese selection. Deli is good too. Wide variety of olives & Italian delicacies. Prices are good / average. It was crowded when we went, but worth the wait. Street parking was a downfall.

Very nice establishment. Everything appears fresh. The store is very orderly and clean . Love the selections at the deli section. Too bad we don't see more of these places in brooklyn.

They have everything that you need to make a real Italian food... They are very friendly and they give you lots of food when you get hot italian food... In my neighborhood in the Bronx thry dont have that real italian food or feeling... I recommend Frank and Sals to everyone thats looking for that authentic Italian food and feeling... Efrain J. First off i was a 22yr customer . So in the last year this place has begin getting worst. Owner trys to sell my wife day or two old so called " Fresh Mozzeralla " , 3 times in a row he tried .i sent my italian mother in and he sells her real fresh mozz that was made that same day. When i approached them they told me it was the curd they use ? Don't lie to a fat man who knows and also makes fresh mozz himself.

Visited store 8/28/2013 Staten Island Very fresh and clean meat deli and cheese counters very good selections of bread pasta and other Italian groceries Friendly and helpful staff However not as good as the one in brooklyn you guys need to make it as good as the original store on 18th avenue Your vegetables and fruits have seen better days only your tomatoes and cucutzas were fresh and i am missing the fresh ricotta!! I don't go to Frank and Sals to get polly-o I can get it anywhere and I 'want to hear that you guys don't like Staten Island if not don't open a store here, charging double of what you charge in brooklyn Il Capito?? If you fix that you will get 5 stars I will be back

If you’re in or around Bensonhurst area and into Italian specialty Items this place is a must. The market contains Sicilian and mainland Italian products. Large olive and charcuterie selections. There is also a meat counter. There are also other shops in neighborhood that represents the Sicilian heritage.

Ironically enough the best draw here may not be the meats but the fruits and vegetables. They have a great selection of fresh produce out front that never fails to disappoint. Inside they have a bunch of imported Italian goods as well as grocery essentials and a quality deli counter for all your fine meat needs.

One of the few remaining traditional and true Italian grocery shops in Brooklyn. Their deli offers genuine imported and domestic Italian cold cuts, variety of authentic cheeses, as well cooked Italian delicacies. Cold cuts are properly sliced by knowledgeable and experienced servers. Those guys are fantastic! Best prices and excellent quality of deli food. Parking could be challenging at times due to busy area. Inside tends to get crowded due to popular demand.

Selection is barely adequate, decent enough if you're in a rush. The service is so horrendous, I can't get over how bad it is! It's not often that one can wonder down the aisles, purchase something, and walk out without a single "hello" or anything related to it. I've been there 3 or 4 times now..... no help, no questions, no hello, no goodbye, no thanks, no have a good day, NOTHING! Rudest cashiers I've seen in a while. If you're looking for actual service and way fresher food, go to PASTOSA a few blocks up. You'll be glad you did, night and day!
