Love the mustard seeds and the chesses upstairs :) The sausages are pretty good too! Went to their hoctoberfest last year and we've been going back to this place frequently since:)

Peter Ghizzone

The food was delicious. I had short ribs tacos and a pear salad. Good coffee too.

The home-made beef and black bean chili is very good. I get it often, it is always consistent with just the right amount of seasoning, heat, and viscosity. It is the closest thing I have had that is like the chili I make.

Bill Valocchi

Nice ambiance,. Food good but overpriced

CAM Murphy

Great food with many healthy options, excellent customer service, and many items from local farms.

Absolutely one of the best places for quality prepared food. Everything is incredibly fresh and if you get a chance to speak with the owner you are in luck. He is one of the friendliest, most down to earth individuals.

Excellent quality

Robert Jackson

I visited this restaurant for the first time and liked it. The food is excellent.

Mark Bean

Local top quality meats but to get quality like what they have there is a premium paid. You might not always find what you are looking for but ask and they will tell you when it will be in. Nice selection of cheeses and a very knowledgeable cheesemonger to help out. Prepared foods are available to eat in to takeaway. I love how I can pick up a demi loaf of bread at the bakery. It's also nice to have coffee served in a real cup and not the paper variety like those famous coffee chains. Putting an espresso in paper should be against the law.

Jake Block

Local everything. Great sandwiches & salads, cold pressed juice at a reasonable price. Stop by if you're in the area.

Alex Ju

Prices are a bit high, but everything here is worth a taste. Definitely try the lemonade or one of the fresh squeezed juices!

Liam O'Brien

This place has great service, the breakfast sandwiches are so good and the burgers are amazing. Definitely one of my favorite places to stop for a Sunday brunch!

Laura Caramia

Lovely place! I visited Hopewell a few years ago and stopped here for a rich peanut butter smoothie.

Kris S

Really cool place with a hipster vibe unusual outside of Williamsburg in Brooklyn

Skippy Paul

Great place, so happy to have found it and wandered in. Fantastic cheese dept.

Amy Rosina

I have been coming to Brick Farm regularly since they opened and I love it. Very pleased with the menu choices and quality of food. Some of it is so delicious that it's ridiculous. Great coffee, great cheese selections upstairs and a lovely gentleman with an accent who works at the cheese counter and always gives me the best suggestions. The juice and smoothie bar is also a great resource for me when I'm on the go and can't make my own. Great place, just love it and honestly can't picture my life without it.

Beautiful, high quality, sustainability and health conscious market offering local and organic groceries as well as ready to eat. The coffee is amazing and the butcher shop has humane-etarian cuts. And the cheese

Samantha Bernstein

A bit on the pricey side for lunch, but the food was very good!

Maura Chadwick

Love it here. Fresh produce, meats and cheeses are always fantastic, great coffee and prepared foods too!

The food is good although pricey. It's a good place to bring kids because it's a noisy space and they won't bother anyone

Best breakfast in Hopewell. My only complaint is that it’s not open earlier especially on weekdays so that I can grab a coffee and breakfast before work.

William Dascher

Excellent food and drink, LEGIT farm to table. Service post lunch was slow, Felt like we waited for a long time to bus lunch, ask about dessert, present the check, and finally cash out (probably due to adjacent table of 8 girls w separate checks at the same time)

Stephanie Neal

Great locally sourced food items, cheeses and in-house prepared foods. Do yourself a favor and ask about the monthly market dinners...

There’s nothing about Brick Farm Market to complain about. The atmosphere is charming and everyone that works there is patient and helpful. They have a VARIETY of things to eat and drink from vegan to gluten free and I had plenty of both. My family went to this location twice while in the area. We enjoyed their Korean bbq tofu, crab zucchini fritters(my fave), and their meatloaf. We had a few different types of coffees and their desserts. My daughter loved the creme brûlée custard in a jar. On the market side they had GF bread to take home. My boyfriend also had their BLT which was not skimpy. I’ll be frequenting the area later in the year and I will be back for those almond croissants.

Top quality and hard to find meats and cheeses. Prices are high, but so is the quality and variety of their charcuterie.

Luann Ausen

I usually come for the baked goods, and if in a pinch, pick up fruits, vegetables and staples. I do not like the prepared foods at all. Recently bought a roast chicken cutlet that was undercooked; meatballs that were too squishy with bread crumbs, oily kale salad, a too meaty pot pie, and lastly, a parm chicken that had a lot of gristle and fat. It did not taste like chicken at all; I returned for a refund, but they did not know how to refund on the register. I will not go to the prepared foods section again. As mentioned before, the bakery is good. I recommend their quiche - very light. The breads and desserts are good too. I will give three stars because of the bakery and the convenience of having a market in town.

Had an awesome lunch. Their pulled pork is next level and everything is made fresh. Would've stayed longer just to admire the cheese/butcher shop on the 2nd floor but I had to get back to work.

Ruth Alegria

Wonderful gourmet market especially house smoked ham!

Michael Sciarrotta

Always great quality

Peter Zuidema

First of all, Brick Farm Marley serves the best coffee in the area. But it is not even that; their menu is incredible and everything is fresh and very tasty. Add to that the amazing cheese shop... And a lunch here is a success. However, dinner is a pale reflection of their lunch menu and for a good time I will recommend coming here during the business hours of the day.

Fresh food... little expensive though

Excellent place for a fresh breakfast or anything fresh for that matter ( produce, Deli, beverages, coffee bar, Etc ). Friendly staff grade environment that preserved a former auto dealership. Indoor or outdoor dining.

Rhonda Maguire

Fresh produce and great staff! Glad to find organic, non-GMO products. The quality of the food is excellent.

5 stars just for the baguettes alone. And whoever dreamt up the weekend exclusive baguette (flax seed & black currant - ca. Winter 2017) ...genious.

Ellen Balint

Great tasting, fresh, local food in a beautiful brick beehive.

Richard Salimbene

A legit farm to table restaurant and it reflects in the quality of the food. Overall the food was very delicious, the setting was quaint, and there was an abundance of produce available outside of the food options. The prices are a bit expensive but you do truly get what you pay for.

I would like to make one complaint. Otherwise my experience there was always positive. I swear there is a worker who is there that can not cook burgers. I asked for medium cooked. The burger came to me with (cold raw meat nearly all through the center). I was in my car and down the road. I should have turned back. That was not the first time that happened. Other times... when some other guy cooked ... the burgers were fantastic. Yet for this price of the burgers.. you need to not hire just any guy off the street. Because who gives cold raw meat burgers!!! Please teach that guy what he is doing wrong. I wish I could give you a better review. Sorry this time I can not. ( should have wrote the review right after the last time this happened.) that way you could take a guess on the date and who was working. I really hate to complain. YET this happened to me more than one time.. THIS last time was very very BAD. The burger only had brow outside and all red raw cold cold cold meat in it. It was well over or about a month ago can not remember, but in the pm. Its the start of october 2018 now. Look I do like your store. You have good food. Please teach this stubborn find of a cook you picked too cook meat correctly. NO please do not make dry burgers either.. just teach the cooks what the are doing PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! That last burger I got from you...I am not kidding was never cooked.

Great place to meet people and have coffee and one of their delicious snacks.

Samantha Hardcastle

This is one of my favorite spots for lunch. Everything tastes so fresh and healthy! And there are so many different choices, I never get bored. While I'm here I always pick up things for dinner, because their pork is out-of-this-world good. And their house-made sauces are great for when I need to get a homemade dinner on the table but want to keep it simple. Love it!

Dongho Choi

This place has good, fresh and quality produce sourced locally.

charlita george

The prices are somewhat high but worth it. Great place for a family setting. I wish they serve something for breakfast other than pork.

Louis R

Great little lunch place, definition of Farm To Table

Ross Dodd

Casual atmosphere and outstanding prepared foods. My wife and I come here as often as possible and tend to bring home meat from their butcher or some of their delicious cheeses which are also the best. The proprietors obviously care a great deal about quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. I would recommend Brick Farm Market to anyone.

Seong Won Han

Great little place using local produce. Everything is very good here - lunch, bakery and coffee. Long tables with plenty of chairs.

Matias Zaldarriaga

Great artisanal grocery cafe and coffee shop. Was impressed with the selection and premium butcher shop upstairs. It's not inexpensive but you do get what you pay for.

Chris Beyer

Great food. Kind of pricey. $9 for a chili dog. Sandwiches average over $10. Coffee is good.

This is ridiculous! Giving this place the benefit of the doubt for almost the 10th time, today will be my last. The food here is mediocre at best and the prices are absurd. I always try new things on the menu hoping I’d get more hits than misses, but the latter always prevailed. Today was my last straw. I went in for a juice that was not worth the 15 minute wait. The staff were too busy chatting than taking care of customers they weren’t too familiar with. (She served her friend 2 juices in less than half the time I was waiting for one). Much better places in the area with more attentive staff and better food and drinks. I rather drive to Tico’s or Arlee’s for amazing juices. Or right over to Skillman to Blawenburg Cafe for food that’s triple the flavor and half the price.

Erin Jones

Great shop. Local butcher and interesting cheeses upstairs. Fresh juice, bakery and made to order food downstairs. Plus some groceries.

Joseph Dera

Over priced thunder and no rain. Their menu reads well but doesn't live up to the chalkboard. I stopped going here last summer when I noticed countless flies crawling all over the open display cases of their baked goods. Not appetizing, but a wonderful source of protein. Its the kind of place a first year dropout student from Johnson & Wales would create. Stay in school boys and girls.

Jeff

Prepared foods I would rate "okay", but unfortunately they are priced in the good/excellent range. Limited success at the butcher counter... fresh beef chorizo was heavy on the cinnamon and crumbly in texture (not emulsified properly?) Ground pork had a strange texture... maybe not cold enough when grinding? The baker seems to have their act together and bread/pastries are tasty. The decor is urban rustic and looks nice, although formulaic, but I'm not there to admire the decor, I want good food.

Best breakfast around. Great atmosphere. All in one stop shop. Top quality meats, fresh local produce, wide variety of cheeses, plus great prepared food and coffee.

Tony Mamone

This is the real thing... they only do fresh, they only do local. No, you cannot get strawberries in February.. try ShopRite. Exquisite meat that is local, organic, grass-fed... because it is right, not because it is trendy. Masterful cheese selection... Michel is the best around. Ice cream that leaves you wanting more. Their philosophy is to create a local farm market with the best local goods to be had, like a farm market used to be before most of us were around. It works for me...

Jackie Nowak

I saw this place advertised in a NJ magazine, it was just a little over an hour drive from our home so we decided to check it out. Cute little place inside with two levels. Lots of organic foods and an organic eatery with drinks and desserts. We went to order something for lunch, the staff seems somewhat disorganized and there was a line to the left and right of us, which made things worse. It took some time to place our order. So we got two sandwiches. My spouse ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fresh made chips, I ordered a turkey melt with salad. Next we had to go to another area to get something to drink, so this was another line to stand in and pay. There was a cooler to the left where we ordered our sandwiches but due to the line disorganization you couldn't get to it to get a drink without losing your place in line. So we got in the other line and got two iced teas and two linser tart bars. The food was really very good except they gave me chips instead of the salad I asked for. (they fixed that for me) good food but I felt $12.00 for a sandwich was too much. Lots of nice products and the staff was friendly.

Their food is creative but fails in execution. It's not a bad place by any means, but I often regret spending so much on a disappointing meal.

Great food and a great atmosphere. I enjoy stopping here for a meal or a treat whenever I am in the area. They have fresh produce, artisan bread and cheese, prepared foods, sandwiches baked treats, coffee & more.

Organic food, very modern rustic, also very pricey.

aaron brosseau

Interesting in concept and decor but every time I go here I'm just rubbed the wrong way a little bit. They seem to be popular but for what it is I always feel a little insulted by their menu and corresponding pricing. I went there for breakfast and spent the compulsary $15+ for a cup of coffee and breakfast special of 2 eggs, home fries(they charge more for fried home fries) and sausage. The platter had one small link of sausage. I spoke with the chef and he said it was their portion choice. So I asked him how many breakfast places he'd been to that only gave one link of sausage, he gave me another link but for the price it's a stingy move on the part of management and ownership. I went again and got the chicken pita for $12.50, the chicken was dry and the "sauce" was very vinegary and the pita was so badly wrapped I couldn't pick up the sandwich without dropping overly large very dry chicken cubes all over the place. I usually like vinegar but this was off and now I have that icky feeling. And again, for $12.50, no side is included (what does a handful of fries cost to break up the monotony of the plate?). I want to like this venue but something isn't right with the place. The vibe is off and the menu needs to get congruent with sensibility. I feel like farmers are fundamentally sensible people and that's not the word I'd use to describe the vibe or the meals I get from this place. But please, try the place for yourself, you might dig it.

Fabienne C

This is a terrific place to stop by for some breakfast or lunch food, pastries, coffee, and artisan market foods like preserves, veggies, meats, and cheeses. However, I would love to see more gluten free options.

Used to be a Chevy car dealer site. Now a great store for local produce, meats, cheese, baked and prepared foods. Little pricey but high quality and convenient. Nice to have some thing in Hopewell in between the pizza shops and high end restaurants.

Barbara Hovanec

Great place! People are friendly!

Robert Steimle

I frequent this establishment often and I have to say that more then twice I have gotten sick from eating the food, I think it was the eggs "straight from the farm" that did the job but it could have been the meats. It may be a short drive but the prices are way too high!!! I rather drive down the street and buy better quality meats for way less at the meat market. This place is always empty when I do drop in (it still takes way to long just to check out when I am buying milk cause nobody is ever at the register) probably because the workers are always complaining about how miserable they are and how they hate it there. Well so do I! I will not be going back. Be careful, the food is not as fresh as you would think!!!

I can't say enough about Rubin in the cheese department. A lovely person and so knowledgeable! He remembers us by name and has opened our cheese world immensely. He is so right on with his recommendations and selections. We look forward to cheese shopping with him every time we're at Brick Farm. Each time we go we learn and experience something new. I'll always miss Mr. Lemmerling but Rubin rocks!

christine corey

It may seem pricy, and some things are, but for organic, farm-fresh, "homemade" goodness, this is probably the best choice for miles around. Love the experience!
