Only suggestion I can give is, do not go to this place while you are hungry. You will spend a lot of money. This place is awesome, with great selection of food, ready hot food to eat. Cold food to reheat. Beautiful selection of meat and vegetables at this location. Prices are decent some things are expensive, but you get what you pay for, and the quality is great. Definitely worth it to me.

Went around 2:30 and was suprised i just missed the crowd maybe because of lousy weather also. prices are higher if not on sale.lots of choices for single people,and working people with no time to cook. I picked up desserts for turkey day + tested the tiramisu +it is great. Don't dare to try the cheesecake..will have to go out again. People very helpful. Parking hard at peak times. But worth cir cling as they move fast. Seafood fresh, nice desserts, grreat muffins.and all kinds of meats. Don't see. Ask. good selection of wines + beers also.

My expectations were exceeded beyond belief when I walked into McKinnons for the first time. What a selection! You can pick from fresh meats at their deli-style counter, or browse from several aisle of prepackaged meats of all varieties. Plus there is a whole grocery store in there as well! I always thought they were just a butcher shop.

This place is a meat lovers paradise, but also accomadates the vegetarians in your life with a beautiful fresh veggies. This store really has it all, but hers are super informative and a friendly. Their seafood is amazing as well. Love this place!

Parking is always an issue, but if you are handicapped or not handicapped and don't mind walking a couple hundred feet, there is a space. It is always crowded. The prices are high on most items. I will tell you this....They have the absolute BEST PUMPKIN PIE I ever had. The SCALI BREAD can not beat. Some of the pre made stuff is pretty good.

Lots of meat pretty well sums it up. If you watch the sales here, there's definitely an opportunity to save some money, but the meat selection is the main reason to visit McKinnon's. The seafood is very good here. Lots of gourmet cheese, wine and beer. Produce is excellent. Typically, we go here for meat only, but find one or two special ingredients, to make the meal complete. If you're looking for something a little different, or just want to stock up on steal tips, you'll certainly want to visit McKinnon's!

The place holds itself out as a premium meats store, but its deli has long been a weak point. They have good product, but ruin the experience by putting people who are either poorly trained or poorly motivated on the line. Not all of their employees, but enough to know they need to do a better job supervising or training. Over the years I have received numerous Boars' Head products where even after I asked them to be careful they gave me a nice sliced string of plastic with each cut....a choking hazard. Often, like today, if you ask for something cut thin they disregard you and you get thick, and when you ask them, they say they cannot slice it thinner. Sorry, but I worked in delis for 5 years, and have ordered sliced cold cuts for 40, so do you really mean to tell me those slicers cannot do better? Are you cutting it with a butter knife? Or is it you are not paying attention and are too lazy to correct your mistake because it may mean it takes a minute longer and you may have to make twice as many cuts? I often avoid using their deli. When I do it isn't long before someone does the things I mentioned above. If it were just the deli they'd be getting one star.

At first glance you would think this place is a good place to buy meats , or maybe pick up some groceries and avoid the Sunday crowds at market basket. Don’t be fooled. Twice I’ve spent big money on fillets that ended up being tainted and tasted and smelled awful . I’ve bought pork chops a few times that also had a nasty taste . The marinades aren’t very good . The prices are outrageous. I’m going to be looking for a new butcher after throwing away fillets for the second time that I spent over 20$ on .

If I could give this place a 0 I would ! The food is overpriced and has gone way down hill! We buy pre made meals because we work 12 hours a day! I got the teriyaki chicken, mixed vegetables and squash tonight. I need a chainsaw to cut through the tough as hell chicken! I now don’t need a diet plan because I have no appetite! Also, your rice is undercooked and gross! I’d rather eat a Lean Cuisine! I’ll cook til midnight before I buy this garbage again!

I was introduced to this market by my brother, and have since made it a must stop every time I visit him. They literally have 3 rows of prepared and marinated meats, as well as a huge full service butcher counter. Great beer selection including local craft breweries and several New England breweries makes this the place to shop for meat and beer when I am in the area.

Expensive but some food is very questionable. I went there maybe once a month when I want some good quality ingredients. But in recent years, it really went downhill. I went in last night to get some seafood and some cakes. The seafood was ok, not particularly fresh. The cakes were stale and dry. The counter lady purposely gave me an old piece that should have been thrown out. I now have to lower my expectation about this place, which is very sad.

Immense selection of beef, poultry & pork and an incredibly fresh seafood selection. Has a cheese section with unusual and standard cheeses, plus an olive bar. Marinated mushrooms, artichoke hearts and at least 4 types of olives, marinated and stuffed. Great beer & wine selection. Grocery section has what you need, but not why you go there.. unique market, with prepared foods when you don't have the time. Definitely a market to check out.

I love McKinnon's quality for meats, deli meats and specialty items. There are two areas for improvement, though. Cashiers and almost all deli staff are very unfriendly. No greeting, "gimme that" when taking my basket, nothing but blank states. If they do talk, it's to the other employees. There is a woman at the deli who always wears a pink hat and her hair down. I cringe when I come in, hoping she doesn't do my order. She really needs to have it up. Plus there are guys with big beards and no cover over those either. I'm really hoping this can be changed because I really do like the quality.

I like visiting new butcher shops and give everyone a chance. I spent 63.00 bought bone-ribeye ( so bad ) it makes market basket ribeye seam 5 star. Hamburger?? How in the world you pay $10.57 for 6 parties that turn brown the next day??. Hot dog far from organic.. Should've bought ballpark franks. Basically 63.00 could've bought myself some overtop meat from Whole Foods!! I would've paid $30.00 at MB and around $45 at whole foods. But 63.00? For rubber fake meat. Last time going there.

Guessing close to 100 choices for prime rib!! Rib in or boneless. Always loading the inventory and there to answer the questions. Checking out looked crowded but was quick. And the cashier was pleasant and fun and the bagger was just the same! Also got help in the parking lot ! While I was trying to load up the car! Great service!!

Great selection of quality Meats, fish, and freshly prepared foods. Has good selection of fresh fruits and veggies, as well as a good selection of gluten free products. They have fresh baked bread, pies, cakes, and pastries in the bakery (No gluten free there though). The small size of the store can be deceiving but they also have a full selection of the typical dried goods, deli meats, dairy, and just about anything else you need from the market. This is a place to go if you want quality at a fair price.
