I decided to take another chance on the product here. However it resulted in disapointment. The host was not friendly nor helpful, when I asked it there was a fresher filet of emu ( because the one package left was heavily freezer burnt) she replied that there was some that just came in but it wasn't weighed out yet. She made no attempt to accommodate us. Then to further the disappointment I decided to take a couple whole rabbits that where showing signs if freezer burn. Since I was going to stew them to share with my children it would probable turn out ok. I got to the register to find the cost was going to be 63 dollars and change. I said I'd put them back for that. Again no offer to accommodate my purchase no discount barely a murmmer. I poked through the freezers a bit to take a genuine look. The closest source for anything was northern vt. Nothing had a harvest date or use by date that at least I could find. Nothing was reasonable priced to say the least. Why? Likely because it traveled so far. Why was nearly everything I picked up showing signs of freezer burn? Likely because it had thawed posibbly a time or two? I don't know but I was sure disappointed . I enjoy sharing new things with my kids. This was not the vender I was hoping for. I look for local fresh quality wherever I go and buy plenty of it. I know it's out there. My story is shop around, find quality before you pay exuberant prices. I would like to believe they mean well here they have some novelty products. But freshness counts with these things.

The customer service at this establishment has been unbelievably wonderful. The first time I made a trip out from the seacoast, I realized that I wasn't making good time and might end up at the shop 10-15 minutes after the 4pm closing time on a Sunday. I called and a woman, who I now believe to be an owner, didn't even hesitate to say she would stay open to await my arrival. Sure enough, I showed up 15 minutes late and she welcomed me into the shop and kindly and patiently talked to me about what I was looking for and what option would be the best selection. The second trip was equally as great. This time I was able to get there long before closing. The same woman was working and recognized me and once again took the time to talk to me about what I might want/need. Even knowing the meat was intended to make all-natural venison jerky for my dog, she took the same time and commitment I would imagine she gives customers looking to stock their own freezers. We went through as couple of different potential scenarios as to how I could buy the meat I wanted, whether it be a roast, stew meat, etc. in order to make sure I got the best price per pound while being able to fulfill my needs; inventory was lower this time - they'd had a busy Saturday! And prior to checking out, the woman asked if I wanted to try some wild boar ribs, knowing I had yet to really try any "exotic" or game meat. It was DELICIOUS. The shop is nicely stocked with a lot of options, The owner is courteous and goes out of her way to help you, even offering to have me place an order to piggy back on their restaurant deliveries to the coast, so I wouldn't have to drive out to Chichester regularly. I find this to be the perfect example of an idyllic small, family NH business; kind, personal, dedicated and caring service. I could not recommend this shop more!

The selection of exotic meats was great. Prices were very reasonable as well compared to some other stores I've visited . Very clean and displayed so that everything is easy find. The woman at the cash register was very polite. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for game meat.
