We we're referred to Countryside by our dog's breeder for raw diet feeding. The shop was clean, no foul smells, nice display and we were greeted and had great service. The owner came right out and helped us decide what to buy as well as gave us some tips on feeding (he also raw feeds his own dog). What really impressed us was that they strive for natural and additive free meats and have affordable packages for those who love to fill a freezer up. It's worth a visit.

I called to see if they had whole spare ribs. Let me detail the conversation. Person who answered the phone: *loud, angry mumbling* Me: What? Countryside butcher? PAP: WHAT? HELLO? HELLO? Me: Is this countryside butcher? PAP: UH YEAH NO BUDDY. Me: Well, who- PAP: IT'S CALLED SIR LOIN NOW BUDDY. WHAT DO YOU WANT? Me: I wanted to see if you had whole spare ribs- PAP: YEAH NO MIGHT HAVE SOME TOMORROW BUT WHO KNOWS? Me: *Hangs up* Do not give these troglodytes business. They take advantage of being the only game in town. Spend the gas money and go to Pat's, a butcher shop that doesn't treat it's patrons like a burden.

First off I got a $109.00 package that I replaced the 4 lbs of 90% lean ground beef with extra chicken thighs figuring I would get at least 4 more pounds of them. When I got to my car and checked it looked like they forgot to give me more so I went back in . I was then told that I wouldn't get as much as I thought. What they said they gave me was 2 extra lbs of chicken. What I really got was less then 1 lb and to me that makes them crooks. There is no way in hell that 4 lbs of 90% lean adds up to way less chicken in any reality. Therefor I will never shop there and unless you want to be robbed I wouldn't if I were you either.
