Awesome the aura at this butcher shop is very old fashioned sincere and the people working there are so compassionate I was given a rib bone and my husband as well we bought the rub barbecue sauce and their own seasoning which are delicious we will definitely be returning to buy our prime rib for Thanksgiving thank you for your excellent service. I grew up with my father being a butcher in California at Farmer John and Vienna, wish my father was alive he would have loved your store can't wait to try your goat and tongue. Happy Holidays.

Wonderful meats. Some prices may seem a bit high, but it is worth it for the quality. Service is always friendly and helpful. They have good deals on bundles like a bundle with x amount of steaks, some ground beef, some roasts etc. (I don't know the correct name of that.)

Hotdogs: I always go here for hotdogs in the summer. The dogs are the best and they have different types. There is always a bunch of butchers available to help and they have a large selection of meats. Today I also bought halibut steaks. The store smells of smoked meats. I guess this time of year the big seller is ribs. The store is located on 84th st south of L st. So it can be tricky getting to the store.

Highly overrated meat shop. I would not dare refer to JGM as a butcher shop, because as far as I can tell, there is no butchering going on. I wouldn't want to insult an actual butcher. Many of JGM's specialty products (e.g. prosciutto, which shouldn't even't make the "specialty" category) appear to be repackaged retail products, at ridiculous prices. Sausage is mostly, but not all frozen. Grass-fed beef is all frozen. There are no fresh, whole chickens. Fish is all filleted and frozen. If you ask them where the fish is from, they shrug. Why are they even selling fish, if this is the best they can offer? In summary, unless you're coming in for above-average bacon or filet mignon, or perhaps a combination of the two -- ever so popular -- this is not the place for you.

Good prices and quality meats. Workers are friendly and some are very knowledgeable if you have questions on smoking, grilling etc. Made in house jerky is terrific, and my dog loves the $5 knuckle bones. House BBQ sauce is very good too. You can't beat their meat.

I love getting meat from this shop. I like that they will cut and slice it to your requirement. I've dealt with a number of their butchers now. All of them have been exceptionally friendly and helpful. When you walk in you can smell the smoked items such a smoked wings, brisket, Prime rib salmon and more! They have an assortment of what could be considered exotic meat including elk and alligator. They have lamb, ox tails and more. I found out recently they sell beef hearts. When I asked the butcher he said they are 5 lbs but you can get it in smaller portions. You can just buy dog food here. It's actually more economical than making your own as pricing is $2.99 per lb or 3.49 per lb for beef. It will include the hearts and livers. The first one is chicken based and includes ground up bones I was told. Safest way to get to your dog and you don't have to do it yourself. I buy hot pot meat (flat iron shaved at the side across the grain) from there (you can use it for sukiyaki or shabu shabu) I'm still working with them to perfect the cut, but they have always been accommodating.

The place is filled with meats and the staff is good. Unfortunately I got 2 of the toughest Ribeyes I've ever eaten. I've literally gotten better Ribeyes from Bakers. When I got home I noticed they had virtually zero marbling. I regret not picking the ones I wanted. Definitely expected higher quality meat from a highly rated shop in steaksville, Nebraska.

The service is great but my husband and I got sick twice. On time with crab steak and the other not longer than Tuesday with pork. Sean (the manager) told me we can't get sick with pork so we went to the doctor who had confirmes a food poisoning and told us we absolutely can get sick with pork. If the place is not clean bacteria go to the meat. We had to take 2 days off and we are still not feeling good. We won't go back for sure.

Best butcher shop is Omaha! There’s a wide selection of items. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend the buffalo smoked wings. I put them in my air fryer and they were outstanding. The “PAT” burgers are a family favorite. It is beef, cheese, & bacon ground together. Best burger I have had. It will definitely be a weekly stop for us.

I found this place not very long ago. The quality of everything I have had is 5 stars. Their prices are better then any grocery store meat dept. These two reasons alone are enough to make you want to go there. Today I went there, I'm currently laid up on crutches. In quite a lot of pain. I wanted to stop at meat store on my way home. When I got in the door I was in enough pain that I knew there was no way I could stand even with crutches long enough to get what I wanted. As I got back in the backseat of my truck. One of the guys from Just Good Meat came out the door to see what I needed. You just don't find people who really want to help people very often anymore. I know when I find a business that truely cares about taking care of or helping a customer. I want to go out of my way post a review to let others know. The store was very busy when walked in. I was only there for a couple bags of the dog food. I bring it home, cook it off, and divide it into 1 pound servings. Then I mix it in with the dogs dry food. Even though they was very busy Janai (I hope I spelled his name right) was very helpful and took the time to run downstairs and get a couple bags. I usually only go for the dog food, but I've picked up the ribs or steaks from time to time and they really serve "just good meat". Even chorizo. Yum.
