I STAND CORRECTED!!! I'm changing my review completely! I wrote the review below after having a brusk interaction on the telephone at what I know on reflection would have been a busy time for the folks at DEE MOS. Since that time I had occasion to be in Ennis with a friend who wanted to stop and get some jerky. I told him about my telephone experience and he asked if "I" had ever had a bad day? The answer was of course "yes" and then my friend asked if I'd ever snapped at someone on one of my bad days? The answer was again an obvious yes. He then asked if I wanted to pout over a gruff phone conversation or have some of the best Jerky I'd ever had? "Touche!" (I love jerky!) We stopped and I did indeed have some of if not "THE" best beef jerky I've ever eaten. I have since been back several times and not only am I addicted to the jerky and other products they sell but the service has always been great and the folks real helpful and friendly. I figured I should edit instead of erase the original post in case anyone had read it. If you have, "Ignore it with my apology to the folks at Dee Mos". I've not only eaten the best jerky I've ever had at Dee Mos now but a large helping of crow to boot! "Original Post" I'm not sure how their product is because when I called them on the phone to get an estimate on making jerky for me the rude, bad attitude I was dealt with told me all I needed to know! When this place was Restvedt's I loved it but it sure isn't Restvedt's any more! When you can't even get a place of business to hazard a "guess" as to what a job would cost and instead they get mad and insulting that tells me all I need to know! I can only imagine dealing with that individual if you had a problem. For the record, this is the first negative review I've ever written about any place I have tried to do business with, usually I just vote with my feet instead of complaining and only write reviews if I have something good to say. In this case however I will not only vote with my feet but I figured folks needed warned! To whomever fielded my phone call, might I suggest an "Anger Management" course.

Stopped in a few times while vacationing in Ennis. Great selection and the owner and staff are incredibly friendly. He even introduced us to some new cuts of steak. Highly recommended.

I was here four years ago while visiting Yellowstone, had to return again. They are as great a place to buy meat as ever wished I had this place back home. The butcher cut my steaks special for me I just love this place.

The owner of the shop was the most disrespectful individual that I have ever encountered in the state of Montana. I asked a simple question of what I would get if I did the basic processing for an elk. He told me to look at the pricing sheet and than called me a price shopper. This is the first time ive tried bringing elk to this processor and will never be back. I wanted to try something different but I will continue to bring all my wild game to Yellowstone processing because everything they make is of incredible quality and they are always so respectful. Don’t go here with wild game.

This is the worst butcher shop in western montana, the owner is extremely volatile. Asked him how much it would cost to have my elk cut up and the answer i got was and i qoute “if youre going to be price shopping get the hell out of my store”. I wouldn’t recommend this business to anyone.

Being in Ennis many times, I consider it one of my favorite places on earth. People and business have always been awesome until my recent visit. After dropping of two elk to have processed I was amazed at how rude some of the staff was (A total of 3 to be exact). Then when I ask to leave a small box for a local to pick up later in the day, they said NO. This local has brought MANY people there through the years and I was again amazed at the way in which they dealt with a customer/s that had just spent $700. If had it do over I would have cut up my own meat or used another option in town. I was trying to determine how many coolers I might need, but this small question seem to bother the worker so much I just left. I could continue on with other examples of their customer service, but I will stop here.

Demos is the best. We shop there whenever we get to town. Everyone in the store is fantastic. Best meat around, along with a marvelous selection of breads, pastas, salsas and a variety of almost anything you could want.

First, placed an order in person went to pick it up on the day I committed to, and was told it was given to someone else, because "they like that cut too." Then told "maybe you should just buy a steer." I won't do business with someone who has no integrity. Second, they are over priced for the quality.

Best beef jerky we've EVER had! Yes it was expensive. Thick, long, strips with great flavor. But the texture was what made this worth the stop and the price. The lady that helped us was kind and helpful and let each of my family of six taste the different kinds (regular, teriyaki, or spicy) and we were able to customize our order. Across the street we stopped at the gas station for Huckleberry Big Sky Soda fountain drinks to go with our jerky. The perfect Montana lunch!
