Ask for 4 slices of Pastrami and Corn beef, received 3 of each but charged for four. Why would a business with a good product have the need to cheat a senior citizen out of a slice of meat? Shame on them! Disgraceful behavior and customer service! Honesty is still a valuable quality.

I don’t even want to leave a star for this establishment but it made me. I have bought meat from this place 3 times and usually don’t have a bad thing to say. I went and brought $200 worth of meat from this place and it wasn’t packaged right nor was it what we even ordered. We had to re package our meat because I live 45 mins away and don’t have the gas with a family of 5 to drive all the way back up there to let them look at my meat and tell me what is wrong with it when I already know. Then he decides to curse on the phone with me how professional is he. I will NOT be buying anymore packages from this man nor his store.

I've been meaning to check this place out for awhile. I'm so glad I finally went in today to get some steaks for my husbands birthday dinner. This place reminded me of the butcher shop in my hometown on the East Coast. Ribeye steaks are what I ended up getting. I can't express with words how amazing they turned out. Better than at a steak house, no exaggeration. I did a standard marinade and put a dollop of garlic/chive butter on top, it was heavenly, but I honestly feel that even if I didn't do anything extra, the steaks would have still been delicious. This is where I'm getting all my meat from now on!

I have lived in Kansas City Raytown area all of my 60 years of life and this was the first time I have been in this store. It was awesome. You can find stuff in this store you didn't even know you needed or wanted. It's like an old-fashioned butcher shop plus a very modern meat store. I'll be going back.

U want some fresh meat - this is the place!!! Beef, pork, chicken and whatever else you want. This place has a back in the day feel to it. Their show case of cuts of meats, prepared extras and meats to be sliced is; well - appetizing to say the least. Awesome place, The Store!! Highly recommend to try them... and oh yes, some the friendliest people!!!

This is a really nice full-service butcher shop. It also has a whole lot of products for the barbecue enthusiast including rubs charcoal smoking woods and much more and the prices are pretty reasonable. I bought a short rib plate there and smoked it today. Super tender and delicious awesome dinosaur bones!

Dont go to Wal-Mart or hi-vee for meat if u want absolute top quality. This place is absolutely the best i would rather get my meats here regardless. They have LOTS of very hard to find stuff as well very nice! ($5 min for credit/debit card purchase)

This is a great place. The meat and deli counters have a great selection. The Italian sausage is wonderful. If they don't have the BBQ sauce you want, I don't think it exists. They have a nice drink section also.

The store is the only place that I buy my meat anymore. They have a great selection and they will cut it to size or thickness. I buy all my luncheon meats from them also and they have a great selection of cheeses.

As soon as I walked in the door I was pleasantly created by the associates there the place smelled incredible of all sorts of good meats great quality food and credible service good price I've been going there for a while and will continue to go there and have recommended too many of my friends that is the place to go for Quality Meats and great service

Shocked and disappointed by the behavior of the owner, Chris, shown towards me yesterday afternoon. I had asked him for one pound of cheddar cheese, and told him that I did not need the entire block sliced, that I would just like 3-4 slices and the rest as is. He weighed the block that he had, it came to 1.28 pounds and I told him that I would just take the entire thing, so that he wouldn’t have a tiny little scrap left to deal with. He seemed annoyed that I asked for just a couple of slices, which seems odd as that is considerably less work than slicing the entire 1.28 pounds. If he had to clean the slicer off every time, I would understand, but they don’t do that. Then when he went to package the cheese up, he was going to wrap the slices in with the block. I told him that I was going to get some salami as well, and since I was hoping to snack on the cheese and salami on my drive home (I was starving!!) then he could just toss the cheese slices in with the salami after that was cut. He glared at me, starts slamming things around and growls that “There is a minimum of 6 slices”. What the actual hell? I just got over a POUND of cheese, which he didn’t have to even TOUCH except to slice up a few slices???? I’m not sure if he just didn’t listen to me, or was in a foul mood because he had a soggy bottom, or had missed his afternoon nap. Whatever the case for his petulant behavior, I found his attitude incredibly rude. After he sliced my salami, I apologized for putting him out by asking him to cut a couple of slices of cheese for me. He threw my package on the counter and stormed off saying “There is going to be a new rule!” Wow. Just wow. The lack of customer service and level of maturity that was shown towards me was absolutely pathetic. I own a small business, and I know how difficult it is to keep the lights on this day in age. That is why I try to patronize other small businesses whenever possible. I’ve been going to this establishment weekly for several months, and had every intent of shopping here long term. It’s nearly a 30 minute drive for me to get there, but their prices are reasonable and products are of very good quality. However I will NOT subject myself to watching a grown man throw a tantrum like that ever again. I’m sure that the $300-$400 dollars I spent each month at this business is just a small percentage of their sales, but I will not give that man one more penny of my hard earned money.

Not the kind of place you go if you have vegan or vegetarian in your vocabulary! Having said that, and I do love my fruit and vegetables and wish they had more.... KICK a$$ brisket, steaks grilling stuff cheeses and my son got venison once. Love the old signs and fun friendly people. Would have given them five stars if they just had a little more greens for us nerds who wander in.

Took a deer in between the times accepted. Unlike one other post. Took exactly one week for my pick up. No hair in burger, unlike others around town. Decent price for processing. Just dropped off my second deer to them. No more Winter meats in BS.

Excellent selection of meats and cheeses. A couple of which are hard to find most places such as souse (or head cheese) and Jack's Habenero Ghost Cheese. They also make some excellent spicy beef jerky. Everything is very well priced and the staff feom the butchers to the cashiers are very friendly.

Had great results on deer processing until last year. All my summer sausage was greyish purple and rank. Was not pleased with the customer service when dropping the deer off. Kid wasn’t friendly at all. I’ll take my deer elsewhere, wasted my money and deer.

I liked the prices of most of the fresh meat, coupled with a large variety of fresh BBQ sauces and woods for smoking. Their steaks were REALLY expensive and they only had fresh Italian and breakfast sausage.

I always call ahead if I'm bringing meat to be processed, smoked etc. We love Dave and Staff....very personable and all around good people. Everything is delicious....Our favorite is the prime rib!!

Drove 40 miles to bring my daughter's first deer in for processing. I arrived at 4:04 and was told that they were no longer excepting deer. That he was tired had worked 8 hours and his shoulder hurts. My daughter that is 7 was standing next to me when he told us the info and is devastated now. I have used there processing for many years and have also purchased meat from them, recommend them. WELL NO MORE !!!!!!

If you want to make sure your meat is only meat, buy it here. Im tired of all of the “added solutions “ in meats. They remove all the natural flavors of the meat. I highly recommend this place for all things natural. Plus they also sell boars head meats only the best.
