While the wait staff were kind and helpful, and the restaurant clean, the food was disappointing. I couldn't help but notice that a nearby table of locals had bigger portions and better looking meals (they had ordered some of the same as our party) than us out of towners. Would not recommend for tourists.

Awesome place! Very casual and friendly vibe. The menu has a lot of great choices, you can't go wrong. Staff was very helpful when we asked about different entrees and for recommendations. The pricing is extremely reasonable for the amount of food and everything tasted wonderful! Prime rib sandwich, chili dog and double down were a few of our favorites. There is also a store with an assortment of items from meat to games to seasonings to candy. The turn off the highway sneaks up on you. It is not an exit, you just turn into the lot right off the highway so be on the lookout and don't miss your chance to eat and shop at the Barnyard Smokehouse!

I love that they have a section were you can bring a pet along and they even have a menu of their own! This would be a great place to stop and eat if you're traveling with your pet. Oh, and the people menu is pretty great too!

Ordered the brisket dinner. It was awful! A pile of thinly sliced brisket which was sliced cold then microwaved until it was dried out. When we arrived and placed our order I asked our waitress Christina if the brisket was fresh and she assured me that it was. Obviously it was not fresh. My wife had the ribeye sandwich, it wasn't too bad. Also don't order the frozen drinks they have a metallic taste.

I will first admit I didn’t get any bbq which everyone seems to rave about. The place is big and inviting. It has seating for you and your pooch if choose. I order the ham and Swiss with potato salad and wasn’t overly impressed. The cheese was processed and the sourdough bread tasted like plain white bread. The service was good and staff was friendly. Place was spotless but the menus were grimy. I will go back and give the the bbq a try.

Good food, especially try the spinach dip with the pita chips! But be prepared to wait, last time we went there, we were on our lunch break and waited for about 45 minutes. It wasn't very busy at all and our orders were pretty simple. We ended up having to take our food to go instead of dine in like we planned, and had to rush back and eat it during our meeting.

Always a problem with something here. I keep trying to give them a chance but why? I ordered a ribeye and was served a sirloin for which the server said sorry, did not offer to fix. Tried the smoked pork chop, or let's call it by tough, dry shoe leather because that is what we were served. Have had the ribs, they're dry too. Cucumbers and onions come out drowning in their juice and now they dice the onions? That is not an improvement, just soggy faster. This is a dish meant to be fresh, crisp and tangy. Let's talk about the sausage/mushroom dip...no, no, no! Canned mushrooms? You didn't even bother to cook them with the sausage and nothing seasoned for richness against the cream cheese??? Thank god for deep fried bread. Very few of your sides are worth ordering as they waver from over kill to under whelm. I've been more than generous trying your restaurant several times, not one more chance. DONE.

Interesting meat shoppe + bbq joint. This business has been open five years, but in some ways it felt like a start-up. There were some glaring service failures (cold ribs), but Christina (the restaurant manager of 3 weeks) was prompt and attentive in getting things straightened out. The ribs really lacked a smoke flavor. I love grilled ribs because of the carmelization of rib rub and marinade so I ate most of my ribs without sauce. Still, would have like traditional smoked ribs. (The restaurant features a host of pellet smokers, maybe that's what they used on the ribs. Whatever, need more smoke.) Even though I did not use much sauce, they may be the finest array of sauces (regular, sweet, spicy) I've ever tasted. The sauces are chunky and thick, clearly very homemade. May be the best barbeque sauces in the KC region. I recommend anyone give this place a try. I will visit again to see if the lite smoke was just an aberration. Personnel issues need to get straightened out as well.

Food was fantastic. We had a smoked pork steak, smoked pork chop, and brisket. Everything was fresh and delicious. Sides vary - the salad and cucumbers and onions were good, mashed potatoes were fresh but gravy was a bit too salty, and the corn tasted like low quality canned. But overall, great meals. Everyone left very satisfied.

Decided to try this again after about a year ago not having such a good experience. So glad we did as the menu and the venue has changed considerably. Great service excellent food probably the best brisket sandwich I've ever eaten. My wife had the double BLT with thick crusty bacon on Texas toast she loved it also. set outside on the patio on a beautiful day can't recommend this place enough had a great time. We will definitely be back with friends great place to eat in Fulton Missouri!

The service was actually embarrassing, the staff was too young with no training and severely lacking in customer service skills. I'm surprised they are still in business. The Brisket was just OK. We had a MUCH better experience this evening than we've had in the past. My husband and I chose this as our Valentine's Day celebration restaurant. We had an attentive waitress (big improvement from our previous experiences). We each ordered steaks and our food came out in a reasonable time. The steaks were really good and cooked just as we asked. We've always loved the food, just in the past they've sometimes been slow in getting it to the table. Great job Barnyard !!!

The service was pretty bad. Most were teens and I do believe it's not their fault, but whomever directs them. They were very unorganized and my hubby and I sat in the middle with waitresses going all around us for about 15 minutes before an older waitress asked if we'd been helped. A table that just sat people down by us had a waitress in 30 seconds. Our waitress did apologise and gave us a free dessert, so that was nice. Food was good...just needs some staff organzing.

The food is good and the service has always been pretty good, the only problem is this place is located on the outskirts of town, the signs telling travelers that this is a restaurant are not very good, and it is not very easy to access the place, it is located kind of behind the main business and hard to see from the highway .

We stopped here tonight on our way back from the Lake and this is by far the best service I have ever had. Our server was also the bartender and was absolutely amazing. Our drinks never were empty because all the staff would come refill them. The food was awesome! We had the jalepeno popper dip, brisket sandwich, and roast beef all of which were great and good size portions! We will definitely be back!

Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it was mostly cartilage and the meat was very tough. It was so bad I couldn't eat and sent it back. The server didn't apologize nor offer any alternative (it's possible I just got a bad portion, but I'll never know). In general the service was poor--our drinks were never refilled and the server forgot to bring my son his drink. The other food was fine: kids' pizza, chicken sandwich, prime rib sandwich ("Amazing" per husband), and a brisket sandwich were good. However, one would hope that a smokehouse would provide good smoked meat or, at the very least, offer to get me something else which was never done so I went home hungry eating only my kids' leftovers. I would avoid this business--you can find better options and better service.

OMG AMAZING!!! My wife and i ate there Fri night. My Ribeye was cooked to perfection and my wifes chicken dinner was so good she wouldnt even let me have a bite lol.
