I deliver bread to both Horrmann Meats locations. Today the guys let me try a pulled pork sandwich. I'm a picky eater and this was amazing. No sauce required. Very tender and the flavor was just right. Consider giving this butcher your business at either location.

Horrmann's has a lot of fun ingredients to choose from. Diamondback rattlesnake, heritage pork, dry-aged beef, homemade sausages, and so much more. It's a big place with walls of freezers, hanging dry-aged meats, fresh meat display case, cheeses, eggs, jams, jellies, mustards, and much more. There's a vibe I got when I went in. These guys are doing a great job sourcing amazing local products that are sought after on the East and West coast, but very affordable here. Let's face it, living in the heartland has benefits!

Walked into a clean store and was immediately greeted by friendly staff. My wife and I were looking for lamb in particular and a lady stopped what she was doing and quickly assisted us. She was helpful and nice the whole way through. Great selection of meats throughout the entire store and the lamb we bought was as savory as it gets. Great prices, excellent selections to choose from, and a top notch staff make this the go to meat market. This is how a great family owned Missouri business should be!

This is a nice shop with a good selection if meats and cheeses. I was happy to see goat was available. While I was in yesterday, the variety of summer sausage was slim, but they said they were making more. A good shop - worth checking out.

My mother and brother had been going on about your store to me for some time so I finally had a chance to stop by Sunday afternoon. I purchased a few things but one of the items I wanted to try was your German Bologna. It was 3:30 and the young man informed me that they had already cleaned that area and wouldn’t sell me any. If you are open then I would think a customer could expect to be taken care of. I was there by word of mouth but I felt the young man was rude and very poor customer service I won’t be back.

We ordered 1/4 of a beef here last summer - grass fed. Amazing quality, hamburger is the best I've tasted. Just ordered 1/2 hog, I expect the same. Wife loves the rolled butter. Great store, excellent quality.

This little shop has a BIG variety. Everything I've purchased at Horrmanns has been delicious, the customer service is fantastic, and the prices are competitive. Where else are you going to be able to find shark fillets, local bison, frog legs and emu ribeye all in one place?

*Edit 4/18/19 Unfortunately service here has plummeted. Everytime I go in the associate behind the butcher counter seems annoyed at me for asking questions. The selection is not that great and the prices are high. I can go across the street to Hy-Vee and get butchers who know just as much and are willing to help me with anything I need. I want to shop locally but Horrmanns is pushing me away.

I used to order meats from Kansas City Steaks and Ohama Steaks. No one ever told me about this place. I've only been going here for 3 weeks but been in 5 times. The selection of Brats is amazing. I also like getting duck breast and ribs here. Ribs seem to turn out so much better than store bought, and they were prepared the same way.

We have a wolf dog; an Alaskan Malamute. So every now and then we like to treat him to some bones. Come here and ask for cow knuckles in their freezer. They have like 6 to a pack and they're large. Still have some marrow and meat on them. Perfect to keep them busy and they're a fantastic price. Also, they have great meat for making jerky. :) The employees are fantastic. Very friendly!

Love this place. Where else can you get lama meat (the ribeye was actually 1/2 price what grass-fed beef would be), frog legs, rabbit, duck fat, great sausage, etc etc etc at (mostly) great prices? The staff is great and knowledgeable also. It seriously would be hard to think of a type of meat (from goat, lamb, veal, elk, emu, game birds, kangaroo to things like sweetbreads, etc etc) that you can't find in this little shop.

They have a good variety of meats and sausages. I bought a beautiful 11+ pound pork butt but, unfortunately, their spare ribs were frozen solid. I didn't bother buying those.
