Absolutely love this place! We always stop on the way to or from the lake. Bacon is my favorite, always buy the beef sticks and grab a deli sandwich for the road. Staff is fabulous!

I won't return and here is why: #1: we were in the store for atleast 15 minutes before we even saw an employee. #2:We bought an assortment of brats, bacon, pork steaks. The brats aren't evenly filled and the filling falls out the ends once thawed. The bacon crumbled apart while it was still in the package while thawing. I thought about making bacon bits with it but it didn't even taste good. I don't know if I just got a bad batch or what, but that was an expensive experiment that I want nothing more to do with.

Stopped here on a road trip and bought a couple of things. They have a good selection of grocery items if you are travelling or on a picnic and forgot something. There is also a restaurant area we did not investigate. The meats area was very nice, with many items in the coolers. We purchased some bratwurst after sampling a few, and some smoked bacon. Very disappointed in both. The brats we bought and cooked at home did not taste like what we tried in the store. Entirely different flavor than what the employee told us. The "smoked" bacon is very bland, no flavor at all. Slightly funky smoke smell that reminds me of liquid smoke product. Overall service was lackluster. Mostly teenagers who wanted to be somewhere else and didn't care. There's nothing here that makes me want to go back.

4 stars for the beautiful venue, the cleanliness and the variety of meats. 1 star for the incredibly slow customer service, lack of common sense on behalf of the cashiers, I blame the management for not training them better. This is definitely a tourist spot and everyone that comes in should be greeted, acknowledged and thanked for coming in. There is a nice variety of smoked jerky type of meats and lots of frozen meats with some decent prices. The groceries on the shelves are your common, everyday, .99 store dry goods. Hardly any name brands, just off brand named items. There is a small deli, a restaurant on one side and plenty of parking....however, it is a drag to get in there and then get out. You must exit on the freeway, the other way is into a neighborhood and a dead end. We missed the street the first time around, it's easy to do even though the barn is easily seen off the freeway. Perhaps it's not yet fully stocked, maybe all the staff hasn't been properly trained and other good things are coming, but for now, it's just okay.

I love this place, and the owners are so awesome! I ordered the bacon wrapped cheese dip (or something like that) and it was SO worth it, including the fried little triangles that you used for dipping. Next up was the Triple Down burger and 100% yes! Be sure to have the chef describe it to you, because that is half the experience. I ordered Mac n Cheese as my side and it was hot and cheesy and worth it. Don't leave without picking up some pork sticks!

We have visited several times now, both the restaurant and the retail store. The retail side has lots of different cuts and flavors of meat. I highly recommend anything out of the fresh meat case. We have had pork chops, steaks and ground beef, all were excellent. The frozen meat coolers are full of lots of meat with different flavors. Our favorite is the bbq pork burger which is the sticky burger they sell in the restaurant. We just got the blueberry maple brats to try. The restaurant is good. We have tried several sides but the broccoli salad is my favorite. Always get the sticky burger so I can't speak on anything else they make. If the sticky burger is any indication though, the rest of the menu should be great. The only drawback for the restaurant is finding good help. Service can be hit or miss. Today was a miss...but, Mike came to the rescue and graciously smoothed things over. He went above and beyond to make things right. And that, young lady that was our "server", is how it's done. Customer service is a dying concept. Thankfully Central Missouri Meat & Sausage has Mike to pick up the slack. Good job sir! And we will be back.

Locally grown and fed meat. Butchered at this place of business. Nice place to grab a bite to eat. Also when a sale is ran, it is worthwhile to purchase in bulk. Very courteous sales staff. Highly recommend.

Great tasting, fresh food. I have purchased many meats from this business and cooked myself, also have purchased dinner. Cuts of meat are generously portioned and seasoned well. Would rival some of Columbia’s best steak houses easily. Prices are average, alcohol selection is good also, even with their own sangria.

Be very wary of shopping here. The entire visit no employees ever had contact with us until we stepped up to the register. Purchased one package of house brats one package of beer brats, cooked the same day. The brats tasted slightly funny but I assumed that was just the recipe. Had a bite of one a few days later as a left over and it tasted like it was about a year-and-a-half old. Meat does not spoil in a day or two after being cooked unless it was already starting to spoil when you purchased it. Again, shop at your own risk.

The butcher shop have poor customer service,I order meat 2 days in advance and when I called my order wasn't made due to they said they didn't know how I wanted it but I explained to them so after that was explained again the price went up 70 cents, Just horrible experience with these guys never again,I apologise for the customer I sent there... Southern Style BBQ will not be apart of the shenanigan.

Pretty low quality establishment straight outta good ole' Callaway. The standerd of this business seems to be "treat employees like s*** and pump that meat on out" I could say its a good bet to assume the standerd of product is the same. Wont be taking my buisness here again in the future.

Great service at the restaurant. Good prices on food in market. They will prepare special cuts of meet if you call ahead. They have a patio that welcomes K-9s and have a menu for them.
