Visiting from California and this was the only shop I could find close to my son's home that sells deer sausage. Loved the smell of smoked meat. The meat looked very appetizing and the store was very clean.

They got new owners after shutting down for a while. Before closing, the place was going down hill. Now, they are stocked by Stonnington Farms, and they are better. I put four stars because they are just starting up again. They also have Paul's Kind Cakes during Mardi Gras and always have Country Girl's Creamery products.

We drive 68 miles round trip to pick up a meat bundle from here. It's always wrapped individually, labeled, and everything is simply amazing. Totally worth the effort! The customer service is simply incredible.

I'm updating because I didn't provide a narrative when I gave the 5 star rating. Shame on me. Here goes: This place has a wide variety of beef, pork, vegetables and deer sausage. This is very close to an old time butcher shop because they will accommodate custom requests for different things. I've bought all flavors of the deer sausage and my favorite is the "Hawaiian Heat". That's not to say the other flavors aren't good, this is just my favorite. I've also bought the Ribeyes a couple of times and the 3/4" thick cut is my fave as well. The people who have helped us on our multiple visits are always very nice and helpful. The meat here is great quality so you should expect to pay more than the meat you get at the big box supermarkets. This is just a quick overview of the place. You should do yourself a favor and go visit the place for yourself and check out their package deals. Don't forget to bring you an ice chest because I'm betting you'll leave with a bunch of goodies.

Nice local beef. The local bacon was mostly if not all fat. Then I picked up a package of frozen crawfish FROM CHINA. I almost put everything back. Very disappointing!!

There's not a big variety of meats and a lot of what they have is frozen. It's a convenient location in Wiggins if you live in the area. They hardly carry seafood even though we're on the coast and there are trucks selling shrimp up and down the highway (hint hint). Their prices are a little high but their cuts seem worth it.

1st time to visit I was treated very rude.The lady taking our meat processing order wouldn't acknowledge anything I said...I understand people have their bad days and overlooked the 1st time but to repeatedly do this is not good for business...we will be using a different business next deer season.

Treated rudely this time but the first time I went to this place was amazing. Went in to get some steaks and then go to Walmart to get every thing else, but turned out they had charcoal, potatoes, and the guy even marinated the steaks to go for me! Didn't even have to make a second stop. I don't get to grill steaks often because I work late alot, so this trip kinda ruined it for me. I wasn't mad that they couldn't marinate the steaks this time ,but I walked out after the lady behind the counter cut the guy off helping me in the middle of her phone call by rudlely telling me they couldn't marinade the steaks be cause they didn't have anything to put it in lol. I don't care if you can marinade the steaks or not. That was a bonus to me last time because I didn't expect it, but I want tolerate rude behavior when im paying the bill because the money I'm paying with is from people who expect the same from me when I work in there homes. I hope this place get there act together wiggins is a small town.
