Absolutely the best burger I have ever tasted. Trip Advisor suggested this little cafe and butcher shop as a nearby restaurant when traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway near Tupelo. It was about 4 or 5 miles off the Trace, but worth every bit of the drive. Should specify, we had the Smash Burger.

This place was so good! They boast having the best burger in the U.S.A, so of course we all had to try one. I believe the claim, it was delicious! The atmosphere was pretty neat too. You help yourself to drinks and chips. We didn't try any desserts, but they sounded great. The meal was a little pricey, but worth it.

Pretty good but I wasn't 100% on the acclaimed burger. I don't understand why you would rave about the quality of the meat on the burger and then hide the meat flavor with all the add-ons. It was good but too much for such a high quality grind. I liked the potato salad but didn't love it either. The place has a good feel to it and the staff was great; very friendly and helpful.

In an effort to make their menu selections different, they are destroying the natural flavors of seemingly good ingredients with some really weird and, to me, unsavoury sauce combinations. If you want a really good burger, don't come here. If you're looking for a weirdly spiced shrimp poboy come here. If you want a traditional shrimp poboy in the tradition of New Orleans, don't stop here. The only item I enjoyed was the sweet tea.

Wonderful locally sourced food! Everything was delicious. Sandwiches can be converted to lettuce wraps for a gluten free or Paleo option. Such great flavor! We were traveling through and this was such an exciting find after all the Mc Donald's and burger kings we kept seeing on the side of the road. Thank you Neon Pig for an extraordinary lunch!

People seriously aren't kidding when they say it's the best burger ever. I just went there for my first time for dinner this evening. The "Famous Smash" burger was the most enjoyable burger I've ever eaten. The hoisin sauce and pickled onions totally made it. I enjoyed it with their tomato salad, a delicious combination of local tomatoes, corn, arugula, and pickled onions. Incredibly fresh! They also offer a wide array of great beers. Burger junkies: Eat this burger! You will absolutely love it.

A delicious restaurant and local market/meat shop. It has an honest straightforward local feel to it. You walk in and sit anywhere available and grab a beer or soda from the cooler. All the food is very fresh and the original sauces are delicious. I tried the chicken lettuce wraps and the the smash Burger. The smash Burger was good with a rich smoke flavor. I grabbed some of the white BBQ sauce and hot sauce on my way out. Service was quick at lunch time, highly recommend.

Amazing food!! Great service! I wish they would open one up in Huntsville! My husband had the Turkey and pimiento tacos. I had the chicken sandwich (came on 2 flat bread wraps). Absolutely delicious!! I loved the sauce. It had the perfect amount of kick. Wonderful smoked chicken with peppers and pickles. We will definitely stop by whenever we travel through Tupelo.

Only in town for two days, ate dinner last night here and it was delicious. We had the smash burger and shark tacos! The pickled veggies were wonderful. We wanted to go back again today but they are closed on Sundays. We will definitely be back and recommend trying if you haven't already. YUMMY!

Excellent spot! I ate here a number of times and evey thing was incredible. I like the style they have... pick out a beer, grab some chips, and sit at the counter where you can watch them cook up this amazing food. They smoke and cure all of their meats in house and you can really tell. Shame I won't be able to make it back anytime soon, I will certainly be craving the Slaw Burger and the Pork Belly lettuce wraps.

This place is AMAZING!!! My wife and I stopped here on the way to memphis but it would be worth a trip just to eat here. We split the BElvis burger. The potato salad was the best I have ever had. There is so much in it that it would be hard to describe, you just need to try it. The slaw my wife got was great too. It was very flavorful even though it wasn't sloppy with sauce. Oh, and besides the awesome food they have a great selection of canned and bottled beer. I also got some jerky for the road which was very good but different, kind of a spicy Asian.

If you come through Tupelo, MS, do yourself a favor; come by this place and eat some of the best comfort food you'll ever have. Try the SMASH burger! With the combination filet, sirloin, ribeye, New York and Benton's bacon all ground up, it will the best burger you will EVER have! Oh and did I mention the pork belly buns!!! Yummm. And...THEY SELL CRAFT BEER!

My coworkers and I ate lunch at the Neon Pig 8/30/19. The Smash burger was ok but definitely not "best in America". The main reason I'll never go back though is because we witnessed the guy with the long pony tail that took our order go outside and pet a dog. He then came back in and continued working and we never saw him wash his hands.

They claim to have the "best burger in America." I claim otherwise. The burger was okay, I don't even know if I would order it again; certainly not good enough to stake such claim. My coworker didn't even finish hers; she didn't like it at all. Staff were very friendly. This place has good overall reviews, so perhaps they had an off day. You be the judge.

Because they claim to be the best burger in America I had to try it. Had the Famous Smash Burger. The house grind includes Benton bacon, filet, ribeye, sirloin and NY strip. I asked for the rest of the toppings on the side just in case. My burger was overcooked. I feel they should ask how you like it but they didn't. The taste was....rich.. Not alot of fat I suppose. I wasn't a fan. I tried my daughter's chicken bun sandwich and the chicken was also overcooked and dry. The atmosphere was however good. They also serve on a brown paper sheet which seems cool at first but all the grease soaks through to the table. You have to get a bottled drink so no refills and you get plastic utensils. The service was good, friendly waitress. Definitely a unique experience overall. They have a butcher inhouse where you can buy meat. They also have a gift shop and a good selection of beer. I would come back and try something else if I lived close by just in case the normal cook was not working and they just had a bad day behind the grill. If you order the burger, make sure to tell them how you like it. I prefer medium but got well done. And we all know, well many do, never cook steak well done. Am I right?

I found this place by doing a search and looking for "burgers near me" while driving through Northern Mississippi. What I found was one of the best BBQ places I have been to in a very long time. The kids had burgers and raved about them, I had pulled pork tacos and they were absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, awesome owner, great food. Highly recommend if you are in the area or just passing through.

Ok so coming from New Orleans I think I know a little about food..A friend had the Smash Burger all he said was "It's far from the best in America.. As for myself I had the so called Belvis(The king must be rolling in his grave)all I'll say was I really didn't like it,it was a crazy mix up flavors that I didn't care for.. To me a great burger is what you find at a place like Five Guy's burgers and fries,if a burger lacks lettuce and tomato how can you ever call it a burger let alone The Best in America... Now I did see something I really liked there however and that was the steaks..They let you pick your steak from the cooler and might I say I seen one served and believe me that was a steak... So maybe they really should be known for some of the best steaks in America.. As for burgers just find a Five Guys burgers and fries you'll be much better off and get free peanuts too...

Showed up ready to support a local business with my dollars. Restaurant was empty one person at the bar. 3 employees behind the bar, two watching the other work. The lady greeted me said will be with you in a second. Sat at the bar and waited and waited to place an order. Waitress walks right past me and began having a chit chat conversation with someone that already had their order. So I left and went to five guys.

I had seen it on TV, was in town, so I decided to check it out. I got there before the lunch crowd and was greeted by a couple of very friendly employees. The menu was simple and everything looked delicious, but I had my taste buds set on the Smash Burger. It did not disappoint! It's no wonder that it was voted best hamburger in the US. I got the potato salad as my side, and while it was ok, it left a little to be desired. With that being said, I'm still giving this 5 stars! Go! You will not be disappointed.

We were here last Thanksgiving. Came back on Labor Day almost a year later. it's that good! I will change my route on vacation to come through Tupelo, just for the neon Pig. The Smashburger is worth all the hype. The staff are amazing. In the atmosphere - well what do you expect from a place called the neon Pig, it's eclectic and amazing. Love love love this place.

Highly disappointing. Burger fell apart after second bite, and the burger itself was bland aside for the mountain of condiments and extras that were piled high.
