Great first experience with the new ownership and impressed with the conversations between the customers and the new ownership while waiting to check out about how they will adding alot of the previous stocked items as they get totally set up to speed with their program. Very encouraged by the way their approaching the transission of this location to their system. Looks to be a great fit to taking over a former great St.Paul grocery institution.

After an email exchange with Lori she put me in contact with a butcher who hooked me up with a fabulous rib roast. He suggested a different cut than what I was thinking and it turned out to be the best roast I have ever made. I will certainly be ordering again!

Outstanding butcher/meat market. Excellent meat, properly cut and dressed. First-rate service. Unprepossessing shop and location. We got two legs of lamb for a family celebration. We are New York City foodies who know our meats. The lamb was as good (or better) than Citarella, Lobell's or any other Manhattan meat emporium. We will be buying their lamb for this year's celebration, too.

Stopped in the other morning while my boyfriend was sleeping and picked up the fixings for a surprise brunch feast. It was great when Widmer's, but jury is still out on new orders. Tonight there were numerous empty shelves. But there was a sign at the cash register to ask if you were looking for something. So we'll see how it goes. Widmer's was a great neighborhood small grocery with an amazing meat department. Meats still looked good, but they weren't on my list tonight.

Widmers for years has been a neighborhood jewel. Wish it still was. Changed hands and several employees. No longer a customer. I’m not sure the new owners understand the concept of customer loyalty. Very sad loss

This is a great asset to the neighborhood. They have all the staples and really their prices are reasonable considering how much smaller they are. It's surprising what they can fit in such a little place!! The meat counter is very good and they have weekly specials. We sometimes forget about this place, but need to remember to support this great small local business.
