The bulk foods here are excellent. You can even buy peanut butter in bulk. Good selection of local produce. The meats are mostly frozen, but still local and organic.

The attitude of the "butchers" in this place is horrendous, ended up walking out after the guy back there treated me like I was inconveniencing him by being in the store and interrupting a conversation with his coworker. Also what kind of "butcher" can't cut a roast?? You're screwed if you're looking for reasonable portions as they just pull out frozen cuts and market them as fresh. Better off going to Cub, that's where we'll be.

A gem of a neighborhood grocery. It is small in size, but huge in selection. Pre-made deli sandwiches, a meat counter, and a great selection of groceries. If I don't need a big cartload, I'll go to Speedy and skip the hassles of the big stores.

This place is great, I've been going to Tim & Tom's for over 3 decades. Tim's meat department is very nice. Tom's produce and grocery departments have a variety of great selections. I definitely recommend stopping by and checking in out. I also like th the fact that it is owner operated.

They don't sell smokes and it has the funkiest smell. Worse than the smell of cigarettes on me. It's kind of a sour smell. I can't begin to describe it because I can't compare it to anything. I'm sure the food is ok if it's wrapped or canned.

This is more the a corner store, it's speedy market! This market has just about anything that you are looking for. It helps out with a lot of cummunity things around the neighborhood and more than a couple times my school has partenered with them to do activities.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and discovered this perfect little market. As far as small full-service grocery stores go, Tim and Tom's is one of the best. I went to college in a small town in Virginia. We had a similar market a couple blocks from my college. I loved the concept of shopping local and supporting small businesses. In my four years of college, I only ended up going to that market 3 or 4 times. All the frozen food I bought from them was freezer burned as if it had been there too long and the produce often looked a bit sad. Tim and Tom's has fresh, local produce and meats. In addition, they have a very unique selection of packaged items that includes international goods. The staff is friendly and the store is always clean. The prices are a bit higher and a store this size will never have the selection of a Cub, but it's a great place for quick decision dinners and short-list shopping.

This is a nice neighborhood grocery store which always is, as expected, a bit overpriced than the usual big grocery stores. Having said that, Speedy has a great variety of products to offer, which you may not get in usual grocery stores. Also, the quality of products is pretty good! They have a good collection of cheese and meat and I didn't find the vegetables to be that priced. Add in a decent customer service, and you get yourself a pretty good store. Just watch out for things that you can buy from somewhere else cheap like, cereals and ice creams etc.

It's always fun to stop at Tim and Tom's. This is where I get the sliced meat for my homemade jerky. This last visit they only had one package of the pre sliced, pre wrapped sirloin I get, and the butcher helped me pick out another cut of meat from the case and quickly sliced it up for me. He was very helpful when I told him what I told was doing with it. And all of the staff are always friendly with good humor. Highly recommend this little shop in one of the best neighborhoods in Saint Paul!

Large variety... great product... price fair/high convince store priced always high although they do market themselves as a speedy market... deli has been a little disappointing lately... it was a first thought for lunch but now I think I'm going to pass... not putting much on them also surprise ingredients such as mayo on a classic bahn-mi.
