It's like walking into Willy Wonka's factory...only with meat. The smell of smoked and cured meats hits you before you even go inside. Once you get in, you just have to smile. Anything you want you can have. Ive been a customer for years and they've never disappointed in quality of customer service or quality of the delicious meat products. We buy meat there since long ago. However, more recently we noticed that country's style ribs are mixed fresh with bad pieces. Every fifth piece or so has green color and terrible smell. On one occasion I threw away the whole package my husband brought home. It was stinking terribly. My husband then talked to the onset. However, upon the next purchase one once was green again. Not a good practice of mixing in old smelly pieces, given the public reputation of this place.

We loooove Scmidt's Meat Market! It has fabulous meats and cheeses. Everything there is fresh and delicious! The meat market has a delicious smoked smell the moment you walk through the doors. The staff is really friendly and will slice up anything you ask them to (ie sausages and cheese). It may be a little more pricey than grocery locations, but you're definitely paying for great quality! It has very cute German theming, and is a very fun place to visit and shop!

Love your products! Every time we drive up from Omaha, NE our friends send their orders with us. They've never had a complaint. The one thing we would ask, however, is if your cash register system could be updated to show NAMES of items purchased so it is easier to sort them out when we get home (who got what and what they owe). The employees (who are truly wonderful, friendly people) are reluctant to ring items up on separate receipts for us. They want to ring up with subtotals, but since the actual NAME of the product isn't printed, that doesn't help. Other than that, a wonderful place we've come to for years, and will continue to do so!
