If appointment time is 8 you want get out of here until they are ready to go home for the day. Not a good place to GO TO del freight too them. I can't run my business without them, so I do appreciate them being here. But I shop here at least 4 times a week and it's always a nightmare. I'm in the checkout line right now, one cashier and I'm twelfth in line. For years, they've been unable to keep good workers and managers. No one in front of house seems to care about anything

Ghetto is lightly put. 80% of the staff is rude and need to go back into training to re learn customer relations. If they hate their jobs so much, my question is why are they still employed? If they even cared to see how they are doing, just reading reviews on this location says a lot. Store managers including the district manager sit in their cozy office, on their phones while many employees just stand around and not caring about thier jobs. Didn't have achoice but to check the cashier and the head cashier because I couldn't handle their unprofessionalism any longer. Waited 45 min just to get a fork lift to load my order, that is after they paging 5 times. Knocked to speak to the district manager and he as well bluntly ignored my frustration as a customer and looked at me as if he was inferior of me. What a shame.

Trucks coming to deliver! Forget about other things you need to do today. You get stuck here for hours! One person unloading Young girl ! Seriously?! Two hours nobody even touched a freight. This place has no management at all! Needs serious evaluation, drivers spend to much time sitting here with electronic logs. You waited your time coming here. Managers take very serious this issue. Drivers get detention right away. !

This place needs a whole new staff. It's unbelievable how unprofessional they are. Cashier's are very rude. They even argue with eachother in front of customers. The lines are long and so slow! And if you ask somebody where something is or to get something down from a shelf, it's almost like you're ruining their day. The two stars is because I actually like the concept of restaurant depot. They really need to get it together and get some new people to run the place.

Huge selection of bulk items. Now I can make restaurant style food at home! Prices are extremely competitive with Sam's Club, Costco, etc.. This is the place to go for vats of condiments and other cool stuff that are in restaurants. You need to have a Restaurant Depot card to shop here.

The cashier system is from 1980's and no body know the prices on the product or they never have the right tags that need up grade the customer service. They always have 10 employed available that do not know the inventory. As a customer it is frustrating because we know how to run businesses and we do not treat our customers this way.

There seems to never be enough parking spaces to begin with. Once you go in, there are pallets and skid steers literally everywhere. It’s extremely cluttery and difficult to find items. Not to mention you have to weave in and out of pallets with a big U-Boat. It’s not a good time. Idk if their prices fall in line with CostCo or Sams but the one benefit is that there is no membership fee (for business owners). For the most part the staff is friendly and helps to the best of their ability.

Great place for certain things. Decent quality but be ready to spend some time finding what you need or need to know. Seems like always I run into things not priced, or what I want isn't in stock each time I go back for more. Once you get through all that then you have the experience of checking out. This takes an average of 45 minutes and with any luck you will get a cashier that's not treating you like your a total waste of their time. Ive been going for years and have experienced great trips and also bottom of the barrel. All in all I keep going back for more.

In the last 3 years I couldn't pay with the credit card, and if you have to switch the lanes for cash-out, there is another half hour to an hour waiting time. Not all the products have prices, and it's a total lack of respect for the customer. Some departments are clean and organized, but there are a few that are not (wrong merchandise under the wrong price tags; opened food boxes - and this is because of some bad customers; etc.)

I have been shopping here for the last ten years. For us, it is generally Basmati & Jasmine rice, olive oil, fresh/frozen fish, hallal chicken and ground beef, bulk vegetables etc. My savings are significant. The stuff is pretty good too. I have an occasional issue with chicken leg and quarters being too big and not tasting great. However, you can check that before you buy. The staff is generally courteous. Please have reasonable expectations. It is not exactly a small lobby shop in a 5-Star hotel!

This place would be so much better if they switched out a lot of the employees, some are helpful but others are just plain rude especially their floor managers( I’m not sure what her name is) So I went and got all of my stuff I asked for help and the guy was nice then I went up to pay and the cashier is screaming push your cart up very rudely but I don’t say anything I just did it. Then another girl comes up I’m not sure if she was working I don’t recal her uniform and they start talking trash about a lady that is leaving. So then she finishes and tells me to pay so I asked her how many items did she ring me up for she says 24 and I’m like no it’s only 22 so she says I counted 24 can you just swipe your card so I said nooo that her count was wrong, the manager walks by and corrects her count so she fixes it and tells that other girl “ I’m just trying to keep my composure as the so-called manager Is standing right there which that she replies ME TOO ,Then the cashier says to the other lady see just cause you’re here they think You work for them so I told her first of all I was never rude to you I literally just told you that you counted my stuff wrong and that I was not going to pay extra for something that I didn’t buy. Then she goes on to say that this is not part of her job like it’s my problem that she doesn’t like her job then the manager comes up and says what’s the problem and I tell her do you not see the problem I mean you’re standing right here I’m just literally asking her to do her job correctly by asking her to count what she supposed to count and not overcharge me and she’s being this rude. And she just gives me this blank careless look like she doesn’t even know what to do but that’s what happens when the manager acts like she’s friends with her staff. Oh and other stuff like the guys walk around with their butts out literally I can see their underwear and their butt cheeks and sometimes when you ask them for things they are very rude like they’ll be like we are out and then I have to show them that the boxes are all the way at the top so that they have to get them down this place just needs new management and someone to come and show them how to do their job.

Im a g.m. at a local restaurant and I use this place a lot. Clean and quick. Everything you need to run your restaurant..great deals if you have daily specials you can save a lot of money. Only members of their club can go in and shop so make sure you are a restauranteur or a hopeful. The fresh fish market in the back of the cooler gets me drooling Everytime I go in and being in the Midwest they usually have a great selection.

Needed some help reaching something off the shelf asked a young white gentleman who works in I guess hardware where you purchased the pods in the pans to assist me I was told by him that's not his department so I want to the front end of the store talk to one of the managers comes to find out he's assistant manager of the department ridiculous followed me to the front of the store when I was trying to explain to the manager I was cut off by him several times during my conversation why he attempted to lie about the situation this is not the first time that he's done this but I try to be fair and give everybody a second chance you might've just been having a bad day the first time but I spent too much money and Restaurant Depoto be treated as if my money doesn't matter!!!!!!

Cashiers don't acknowledge you even though most customers are paying at least $100 or more per visit. Two lanes open with 7 or 8 customers in each line. Been shopping here for 9 years for my restaurant. I wish there was another food wholesaler in town with the same selection with products but better management and employees. So many years shopping there and nothing every changes, employees are some of the laziest people I have seen in my life except a few that really are great. Pallets laying everywhere, employees just standing around and talking between each other. You ask them to find something, they either say we don't have it without checking or they say it's not their department. When you need them to get you something from top stock because it's out and of course wasn't filled, they leave saying they need to find somebody with a fork lift. They walk off slowly dragging their feet like they are going to the electric chair. Cash register lines are always long because the people working the register so slow that I'm surprised they don't fall asleep. They never have carts so sometimes you spend 15 minutes standing around and hoping somebody return one or you see one on the parking lot that you can grab. The guy working in the small ware section is a piece of sh** and has the worst attitude ever, loves to talk down to people. Even tho this is supposed to be a food supplier for restaurants, anybody with any kind of business can get a card here. So you have people in there all the time that come there to leisure shop and hold up aisles with their carts because they don't run a restaurant that they have to get back to. They are strolling through there without any hurry. Sad thing is that this place will never change since they really have no competition.....

Not open to the public. If you're in the industry however, this place is definitely worth a look. Did get great prices on some things, others not so much. Finding someone to help can sometimes be a challenge, however when you do they are almost always very friendly and fairly helpful.

The meat department manager don't know anything but how to ride around on his big boy go cart. His customer service skills are non existent. Meats are mislabeled and don't ask for assistance. He will just say they don't have it when it's on the shelf. If I didn't need the meat so bad my dollars would have walked out the door today. So I kept looking and found it without his help. I tried to talk to his boss the tall slinky looking guy and he was even worse! The company that I work for spends hundred of thousands to a million dollars here each year. Everyone I work with hates coming to this circus.

This place is called "The Devil's Taint" for a reason. I mentally prepare every time before I go inside this nightmare of a building. Make sure you lock your vehicle in the parking lot, & any valuable equipment that might be on the outside of your vehicle (in truck bed or trailer etc)

In order to purchase from this place... you need to be a bona fide business.. you need to prove that you are a business.. membership is free otherwise.. They have most of the foodstuffs you need for a catering business.. although price comparison... I have seem some goods cheaper elsewhere and not needed to be in bulk.. And there were some real good priced items too.. Brand name goods are fine.. there were some spices and condiments that did not seem mainline or brand name.. so I cannot vouch for quality... many times I have found places like this tend to buy the cheapest and sell it as normal priced items.. As a chef I want to put the best items in my food.. and not nessessary the cheapest... I am quality based.. If you are going to add ketchup to my cooking that I painstakingly created for you.. then don't mess it up with some cheap red tomoto flavoured goop.. but rather with a decent sauce etc.. so the same holds for spices... I want the best.. not sawdust or filler... So when it comes to condiments and spices... buyer beware... you get what you pay for.. The did not have a large selection of equipment ..but they had basics like take away containers .. cleaning chemicals.. odd uniform and kitchen utensils.. a well stocked fridge and freezer section.. for the defrost and heat "chefs".. that like to serve premade frozen goods in their restaurants... unfortunately more and more restaurants are going that route.. This is the place to go for those chefs... and there are a few items for the die hard make it yourself chef...

I found what I was looking for today and one of the forklift drivers offered to move for me and guided me to a specific product. That was nice. Getting a bag of beans proved to be a messy ordeal. Two bags were ripped and beans were all over the pallet. I had to dig down to get a bag that was complete. Then when I went to get baking soda, I had to climb on a pallet of boxes to reach up high to get a box down and get the tub out that I was looking for. Then went I was checking out I asked the cashier if someone could help me out to my vehicle with my hundred pound bag of pintos. I was told, "Yeah, he's outside." I look outside and see no one. I try on my own, since "the guy" is not available, but this third trimester pregnant belly just wasnt able to do it. I finally ask a fellow customer for a hand. At last I was able to close up the doors and drive away. But I felt disappointed since I had asked for help twice before leaving the building and was told help was available but it wasnt.

Since they put a new manager 2 years ago this place been going down the drain, I been going there for over 10 years now before, they use to have all the employees respectful everyone is doing there job right... but now it’s like a nightmare going there, dirty everything empty and unorganized... you ask the workers a question they either ignore u or respond disrespectfully to you... they have a rule that if there is more than 3 people in line they open a new line, but you’ll have 5 supervisors to count the items but 3 cashier I don’t know how this makes sense to them...just put a new management and get that place straight

Worst customer service I've ever seen. Top to bottom. Managers hide in the office while cashiers decide that getting a snack half way through a transaction is too important. Not sure anyone has ever been taught what the term 'sense of urgency' means. Also one day I'm bound to get hit by a fork lift, driven by someone who has never been taught the word 'customer'

It's like Sam's or any other place, you have to know prices as paper goods and cleaning products are expensive. They shine on cheese and frozen meats. The customer service sucks at best, checking out is worse than aldi's, sorry but I would rather go to the dentist. This place is a disaster. Their credit card machines are always crapping out, no one seems to know what their job is, and management is non existent. It almost makes me want to become a Sysco customer. I can't blame the employees too much. The problems clearly stem from the top - apparently everything has to 'go through head office in Chicago', but that doesn't absolve the in house management from training and running a decent warehouse. This place could be a lot better. I don’t understand why the business owners shopping there allow to be treated the way employees treat them. These employees are rude and don’t care about customers. You ask someone a question, good luck getting an answer. And it wasn’t just me, I saw it happen to quit a few customers. It seems like it’s there culture there. The forklift drivers are reckless. My wife almost got run over by one of them. The only reason I go there is because they have some items that I can’t find at other stores. Unfortunately, I will keep going there until I find an alternative.

If you are making a delivery, be prepared to wait. I arrived ar 1230 for a 1400 appt. I was lined up around the building with 8 other trucks. They didnt care about appointments or unloading. I wasn't assigned a door until 1445. I had a simple straight pull. I could have been unloaded in 30-45 minutes. After 1.5 hrs of waiting, I webt inside and asked what the delay was. There was no reason given. I had to call my dispatcher, who called the store and got them to get me unloaded. I finally left at 1845.

I'm a OTR driver who just delivered here for the first time. Receiving opens at 0700 I checked in at 0700 and was promptly unloaded. People were very nice and will bring paperwork out to you when done. Notice: it's a tight turn in off Manchester so be prepared to swing wide. Also there is overnight parking in parking lot and outside entry gate after hours.

I bought some Dates from here they were so rotten when i brought them home that fruit flies filled my house as soon as i opned the box. Half of the box was empty. I didnt have my receipt to get my money back because one of the cashiers forgot to ring up something i had gotten so this lady came and took my receipt to fix i waited 1 hour and she was still roaming around doing nothing but talking and yelling so I threw the thing they didnt ring up and stormed out! Disgusting place!

I've never encountered a problem with the staff. Anytime I ask for assistance, I always get it. The guys are really great when it comes to helping locate items. I can usually find just about anything that I need for my catering business At Restaurant Depot and the prices are always lower than Sam's and Costco. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5....is because you constantly have to watch out for the forklift drivers, as well as the checkout lines move at a slow pace and I feel that all check out lanes should be open during the rush time of the day which is not always the case. If you own a restaurant, catering business, bar or prepare food for church, school or any other establishment, you owe it to yourself to become a member of Restaurant Depot.

This place is okay..the problem is the lines..they typically have only a couple people ringing out people with a couple grand worth of items. Most of the time they do not have a bar code so they have to yell for a number and if the lady that just stands there is busy or talking with her friends or walked away. Then guess what?. You have to wait as well. The staff is usually pretty bitter and not wanting to be there which sucks because then they have an attitude with you for wanting to shop there. It's ridiculous sometimes. If you are going into the walk.in cooler and cant take the cold. Then I would have pants and a hat on lol. It gets really cold in there and it can take a few minutes to find what you need

Could be a bit cleaner, but great selection of foods and products. Freezer employees are okay, a little lacking in customer service, but I guess because that’s not part of their job description as stockers. The receptionist was great - we were looking for halal chicken tender fritters and an older gentleman snatched up all the cases from the freezer. The receptionist kindly popped in the back and brought us a case herself - GREAT customer service, greatly appreciated.

swear their dock personnel must attend "insensitivity" training. I challenge any of them to go and sit in their car in their parking lot and stare at the windshield for 4-5 hours to unload two lousy pallets. The government wants to limit accidents caused by driver fatigue with log book constraints, but the bottom line is that lazy idiots like this are the number one cause of driver fatigue. The sad/scary part is that most all RD stores are the same.

You must have a business license or tax exempt letter to shop here. It is not open to the general public. Prices are generally fair for everything in the store, which includes whatever you need for the restaurant industry under one roof. The big problem is check out, which can take a while. Shop off hours for quicker service--basically avoid early morning and lunch.
