A bit pricey, but they have an excellent selection of some of the best meats, cheeses, wine and fantastic prepared dishes (and the deserts are AMAZING!). Exotic plants and a gift shop. Don't forget to stop in to see the parrots or step outside to feed the ducks, hens and white peacock!

This is a neat market area to check out. My wife is from the area and always loves coming back to take a walk through and see what looks good to her. They have plants in the spring, fall decor in the fall and always a good selection of food items inside all year. They even have some parrots that you can look at outside and interact a little with which is neat. If you've never been, you should stop in and check it out. They have nice premade deserts as well as a lot of different premade foods that we enjoy.

My 11 month old daughter loves to see the ducks, peacocks, parrots, turkeys, guinea fowl, and animal statues down by the pond and in the greenhouse.

Always love Colasant's. Where else can you find the best fruits & veggies, an excellent butcher shop, extensive deli counter that carries Boars Head products along with fresh/ house made deli & pasta salads, AND a knowledgeable wine staff? All the employees are super helpful and friendly. Not to mention the green house, and the gift shop. (Please visit the birds and animals.) Great selection. Some people may think they are pricy, but you get what you pay for. Great quality.

Sad, not owned by the Colasanti's anymore. It is a really unique store with a bakery and a meat counter. I thought the atmosphere was less relaxed than normal, and the prices were high. I found out they got bought out by a big company, and the Colasanti family no longer runs the place

Great market but, when they name an item Blue Cheese Cole Slaw, I think you should be able to *taste* the blue cheese. Glad I asked for a taste before buying. Definately COULD NOT TASTE the Blue Cheese. Ended up not buying. Also bought the Steak Tips Marsala. Will not get again, NO MARSALA. Not right to name an item to get people to buy, then be disappointed because it's not what you expected. Also, Tuna Vegetable Salad needs a makeover. The salad is to wet, i think they mix with milk, and no spices. Definitely will not buy again.

Let's start left to right, first thing you come to is a little antique /craft store on the end of the building.. Nicely set up and has a ton of items then you enter the greenhouse with perennials annuals and exotic plants they also have several large cages with parrots in them. Kinda cool, not gonna lie... Then you walk through their very large full service florist that has everything including indoor plants, once inside you come across the nicest fruits, nuts and veggies of anywhere. They have a hot soup bar, brewed coffee and a full deli with cooked food. The beer and wine area is so nice, you might want to recreate it inside your own home.. Usually there is a couple who help you find the beer or wine your looking for and help you along the way.. Outside, they have flowers and plants for your garden, small bushes and hanging baskets... Further towards the road, there is a duck pond with ducks and food you can get from a vending machine to feed them.. It's like a personal size Kroger with much better quality and a much better atmosphere.. I'm usually there once a week...

What a great experience. Staff their are great and cater to your needs. Love the fact that you can go their and grab something real quick, or if you need to entertain the kids they have plenty to do their, from their train that wraps around the building to the talking parrots in the back.

We spent an afternoon just walking around. The greenhouse wasn't very full. It looks like there may have been a recent fire? But the staff was friendly. The highlight of the greenhouse was definitely the five birds and back. The three macaws were quite chatty! There were wine samples in the grocery area, served by a woman who knew her stuff. Although we didn't come for anything in particular, we left with quite a few fun finds. They have a great selection of Michigan made sodas, a great deli area with unique selections, an old school candies that took me back to my childhood. Out front there's a nice area to sit and enjoy your treats, as well as gaze at and feed peahens, chickens, and ducks. I plan on taking my kids there in the near future two kill some time in the afternoon.

Love this place! They have an excellent selection of quality meats, veggies and fruits. The bakery is amazing, and the deli/prepared foods section rivals Whole Foods. Check out the indoor and outdoor birds, so much fun with or without kids. The prices are a bit higher that commercial groceries, but fair and reasonable. You pay for quality, variety and excellent service. I highly recommend them.

I love to shop here! Colasanti's is clean, the staff is friendly, their produce is beautiful and I can always find specialty items here that other grocers don't carry. Their deli has a great fresh selection, including Boarshead and Kowalski, plus awesome prepared cold and hot foods (Greek orzo, veggie tuna salad, and the baked potato salad are favorites). They usually have 8 hot soups or chili ready to eat and lots of grab and go options. There is a mouthwatering dessert section as well. The meat counter has everything and I have never been disappointed by the quality, freshness or flavor of meats I have purchased here, both fresh and from the freezer. The wine section is big and I can always find a new and interesting wine that I haven't seen elsewhere. The flowers and plants are a little pricey (English gardens) but a bonus. Don't forget to stop and say hi to the parrots and other exotic birds when you visit. You can also sit by the pond in front of the parking lot and enjoy your lunch or snack while watching the geese, ducks and other birds play. It's a wonderful shopping experience!

I LOVE coming here to get all my steaks and hamburger meat which I ALWAYS get the Piedmontese meat which I think is so much better, tastier and more healthier than regular meat!!! They also have the best mustard potato salad, cheesy macaroni salad and their cakes are to die for!!! I would recommend their strawberry shortcake which IS THE BEST Ive ever eaten! If your looking for wine for whatever the occasion, they have every type of wine you could possibly think of and from different countries...They have a guy there that is a wine connoisseur and on weekends he has wine tasting and each weekend is a different wine from a different country. I HIGHLY recommend Colasanti's for all your food and drink shopping!!!

This is the best small grocery store. I love that they have a variety of foods that I can't get at the regular store like napa cabbage. I wouldn't expect to go here and get a whole bunch of name brand items; they might have a couple but that's not the focus. They make delicious soups, bread, dip, and more in house. Near the checkout there's an area with just Michigan made foods; I bake the pecan apple butter from there into bread. The Butcher Shop is always willing to do special cuts or special orders if you talk to them in advance. The grocery store and butcher shop aside, the greenhouse is gorgeous and has a variety of plants; if you go to the back of the greenhouse there are birds which will talk and dance with you if you get to know them well enough. I use to love getting my lunch meat there but the last few times its gone down hill from not caring how i wanted my meat cut to not even asking me how i wanted it cut and just handed it to me....sorry this is not how u run a meat counter i guess complaining to the manager didnt help. I really love the market here the Fresh Soups in the fresh food offerings are wonderful. However they had a new plant nursery take over their Nursery. It's sort of sad in their outrageously expensive and their plants aren't that nice. It's a shame because I did buy a lot of plants there before. Hopefully they find a way to remedy that.

A small yet wonderfully diverse grocery store/nursery with excellent produce, a full-service butcher and deli and countless specialty items hard to find anywhere locally. I especially like the good selection of fresh and dried chili peppers. It costs more to shop here but it's always an adventure!
