REVIEWS OF Westover Market IN Maryland

Always a good time

Dan Gorry

Nice little space, great music and super friendly staff. Could benefit from more overhead awning and expanded beer selection

Jennifer Parker

My favorite place to have a few beers great all year round with the firepits. Unique atmosphere and great people.

Diana Nichols

Damaged by flooding from yesterday's horrible storms. Hope it comes back soon. Wonderful local market with great selection of foods. Had a nightly group of people who would come to sit outside to watch sports and listen to music around the outdoor fireplace. Big loss to the community.

Marc Wolfe

Great vibe, great rotating beer selection. Friendly regulars, very easy to strike up casual conversations, a plus in my book. Decent selection of wines by the glass, usually one cider on tap plus a few fruit flavored beers now and again. Check the specials board indoors for appetizers, entrées and sandwiches not on the regular menu. Like all restaurants there are a few items that are less good than others (a matter of tastes largely) but some of the dishes really stand out. As of this date, Monday is half price burger night, Tuesday tacos, 3/$10 steak or chicken, steak on Wednesday. Split a nacho platter with pulled pork, order extra (fresh) jalapeños if you are so inclined. If you have children, or enjoy watching kids be kids, the patio in nice weather is really fun. If you want a kid free experience come after 8:00. Ish. A couple of folks have downchecked this place on service. Please note that there is no table service. Order at the bar, either indoors or outside (when open) and your food will be delivered to your table. If you open a tab you can order from either bar. Friendly, affordable, and fun. Two dollars of the price of a beer between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

This place is awesome

Bernard Markowicz

Great local food store, bar and sandwich shoppe.

Ed Kohlwey

This is one of Arlington's best hidden gems. It is a local spot. Most of their customers walk from the surrounding neighborhood - and for good reason. Every day they serve up a selection of some of the best beer in Arlington. The selection rotates frequently, so the chances that you'll find something new are great. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and make fantastic recommendations. They have a great selection of standard bar fare, as well as more exotic specials such as the wild burger of the week (gator, boar, camel, etc.). The atmosphere is family friendly and there is often live music playing on the patio. You will see many families with young kids as well as the occasional dog hanging out on the other side of the fence (dogs are not allowed on the patio). Westover is just slightly over a mile from the East Falls Church Metro in case you want to walk.

Jennifer Davis

Great neighborhood pub!

Oscar Roberts

Brilliant place for chilling, drinking quality beer and eating great nachos and burgers.

Sam Brown

Nice outdoor space tucked away.

Gwen Vito

Great beer and food

Janet Rickey

Westover is very Good. It's even Kid friendly!

Will Reaver

Great selection

Nohelia

I loved it

Adam Alvarez

Great beer garden, awesome albeit limited selection of beers on tap, good food and significant portions

James Griffes

Interesting place. Not sure I ever felt comfortable. I feel that a good bier garden needs something to look at and a decent clientele. Both of which were lacking. It feels crammed in and forced. The staff was good and very nice.

Chris Reynolds

Great atmosphere. Friday night live music. Brings community together more than any of the competing shops in the Westover village area. Grateful for this spot!

Dawn Stevenson

A local gem! Laid back, a one-of-a-kind atmosphere where EVERYONE is happy and friendly with each other. Great beer (and root beer so I can partake while pregnant), tasty food, live music often. There are always kids running around playing with each other. We even go when it's raining!

Daniel Harwood

Its all about the beer and the meat and I like it!

Jayne Deichmeister

Excellent local hangout with great beer and tasty comfort food in generous portions. Patio has live bands sometimes, TVs and fire pits in the winter, unfortunately no dogs allowed. The market next door has an infamous beer selection, esp good for IPAs.

Luis Crouch

fun unassuming great for adults and kids... draft beer list is not huge but well chosen

Matt Moran

This place is incredible. New beer selection all the time ( rotating taps) and the food is really solid.

NeuralNetProcessor .

If you like great beer (or wine) and great food in a relaxed atmosphere with friendly people, this is the place to go. Say hi to Drew and David for me!

Jeff McLean

Great friendly neighborhood bar.

Ryan D

Great beer selection, often too crowded to find a seat.

Sun Hatcher

Great staff even greater food and the beers are phenomenal and you got to love Taco Tuesday

Oliver Peckham

Great patio with a well-curated (if limited) selection of beer on tap.

Russell Mosier

I went for lunch and had the best brisket sandwich I have ever eaten. I didn't even have a chance to try the beer. I am definitely going back.

Timothy Fitzgerald

This place was pretty dang good! I got the chicken sandwich, which was the special, and I must say it really hit the spot. The prices were great and the ambiance was awesome. All of the people I spoke to who worked there were very fun and friendly. I thouroughly enjoyed my visit!

Geoffrey Seals

Great place to bring a date

jaures art

Nice place to spend your afternoon, to have a drink with a friend:-)

Russell Frank Imrie

Amazing little place for its scope. Not the tidyest place but a great crew, eats served from the market's deli, and with a constantly updated menu of craft bears and hard ciders on draft. Big screen tv indoors and out. Kids are more than welcome. Not fancy at all, more like an ongoing party.

Greg Branch

A simply awesome place to eat and enjoy a craft beer outside. Very family and pet friendly. Sometimes there is live music on the patio. We're coming back soon!

James Prewitt

I LOVE THIS PLACE! They not only have a great tap list, but the food is phenomenal. The lava burger was hot, spicy, and delicious. Their schnitzel is comparable to Germany, and the Three Little Pigs sandwich I had a month ago was to die for.

E Hay

Local landmark. Food and beer are great, service is just OK. Food arrives pretty quickly, but you may need to get your own silverware and condiments.

Jorge Hernandez

Liked it but overpriced. Why is beer so good?.. No, I mean in general!

Becky O'Neil

Great selection. Neighborhood feel.

Chris Shenton

I spend all my money there. It's my livingroom-2.0.

Josh Rushman

We had an awful experience at the Beer Garden this morning. We ordered a meal for myself, my wife and daughter, and my parents this morning around 1015. At 11am, we asked where our food was and was told that everyone had ordered at the same time and that our food would come out when available. This was difficult to believe as we saw people who ordered after us already receiving our food. After waiting an hour for our food, we were told that the restaurant was out of two of the five meals that we ordered. Our daughter's meal was eventually brought to us, but after waiting for over 1 hour and 45 minutes we eventually gave up on ever receiving our food. The wait staff was kind enough to take the food that we never received off of our check. But, we were offered a perfunctory "I'm sorry" from one of the bartenders who also told the other bartender that they had expected to have to refund customers for food they never received. I am extremely disappointed and upset that on a special occasion the Beer Garden was unable to serve its customers. I simply don't understand why this happened or why something wasn't done earlier to address or try to correct the situation. I'm also very disappointed with the casual apology that I received from the bar staff. If this is the low level of service that the Beer Garden is going to offer, you should explain that to your customers before they order food and drinks, especially on days like Father's Day.

Thomas Barnett

Good selection of beers and beautiful outdoor seating. Get there early to stake out a good spot.

Scott Dolan

Seth Theuerkauf

Excellent beer selection! Need to check out the beer garden on our next visit!

The reviewers who complain about prices seem to be incapable of understanding that this isn’t a chain supermarket or bar and, therefore, can’t take advantage of a simple concept, available to larger companies with more liquid capital, officially referred to as “economies of scale.” It’s a family owned one-off—anything that doesn’t sell has a huge negative impact on the bottom line, and to make it in high-tax Arlington you have to adjust prices accordingly. These folks do the best they can to find a balance and to maintain diversity of stock. I am old enough and have been in the area long enough to remember the grocery store that preceded this one: limited selection of everything, no bar, and no kitchen. Elk and wild boar meat? Then? GTFO already. The advent of Westover Market dramatically changed the social scene in the area for the better, and I’m very thankful for this. We locals have a place to gather and be social, all while enjoying good food and drink. Is there a premium for this? Of course there is, as is typically the case for anything of real value. This kind of establishment is a rare and valuable thing. Respect it and patronize it accordingly, or hypocritically bemoan its absence later if it should fail and be replaced by a Starbucks. Don’t wait till then to suddenly realize the value of what you once had—it will be too late.

I am a world traveler. I have lived and traveled in Europe, Asia, Middle East, North & South Americas, and in between, and I have NEVER found a better burger in any part of the world than at the Westover. These premium Sirloin burgers will make vegeterians salivate and they're sold so cheap! The draft beer selection is also very impressive. Westover's bar offers an extensive selection of the top craft beers available in the nation and their Sirloin burgers are the BEST I ever had (did I say that already?). I visit DC every summer and I don't bother wasting my time or $ at Five Guys because Westover's burgers come from PREMIUM, organic meat (no ground beef, only top cut sirloin, hangers, filet m, etc.). You can TASTE the premium in each burger, all at the same price as you'd pay at Five Guys! Westover consistently delivers excellent customer service, superb cuisines, and awesome selections of draft beer at an affordable price! If you're in DC, definitely take a moment to stop by here, I promise you will not be disappointed! I inhaled their first burger on accident, you might do the same. 10/10

I've known the Westover area for the last 4 years. It's a nice tight-knit community with a neighborhood that helps support these local family owned businesses, and that is the true beauty of it. There is all sorts of people that come here with D.C. only 15 minutes away. The Beer Garden offers a family friendly vibe where kids can come enjoy the place as well. Groceries inside are all mainly brands you wouldn't see in your typical grocery store. It's other family owned company brands that they carry, so some of the items will cost more than the average place. As for the Butcher shop, I can tell you after seeing other Butcher shops in the area, they actually carry the cheapest prices for almost everything. People complain it is expensive from other reviews I read, but that is actually a false, especially when you go elsewhere. For the kitchen, I love what they did to the Mac'N cheese, it's new. It's not like what it use to be, and as for the bulgogi <3 <3 <3

James Prewitt

Westover had great good and a wonderful beer selection. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

David Brundage

If any place rode the success of America's microbrews better than this place I have yet to find it. Good selection of beers.

John Philip Morgan

Every time I go there is a kids birthday party on the patio. It sucks

Pranav Kondala

Kathleen Campbell

Steven Garcia

Great place for food and beer. Ive been coming here for years and still come and visit from Baltimore

Ashley Deering

Very yummy food, but quite hard to order stuff at times due to the wait/busy bar. Has nice fire pits & good outside seating.

Sherry Hilsher

Nice outdoor patio. It was crowded but fun. The food and beer were excellent.

Emily Marquis

Great rotating beer selection, good traditional american(burgers and pie) menu (also poutine). Small indoor space, 6 stools at bar, maybe 26 seats at 2 and 4 tops. Generous outdoor seating with 3 fire pits and an outdoor tap/TV's during good weather. Dogs welcome outside of beer garden fence.

Scotty ST

This is the best Arlington bar I've been to. The prices are decent and the atmosphere is laid back and doesn't have that broey Clarendon vibe. If you are from Arlington you'll probably run into someone you know. The fire pits outside are awesome.

Myles McMorrow

One of the best rotating beer selections around

Scott Hoffman

Cool place. Great wings and excellent craft beer on tap!

Jarrett Ray

beer selection was a bit underwelming

Justin Townsend

Great beers, great burgers (and poutine!)

Jody Fellows

Good beer. Food left a lot to be desired.

Eddie Crane

Best little secret in Arlington....

John Koehn

Great atmosphere and good food. The beer selection is expansive. The butcher department inside is fantastic.

Bethany Sutherland

This place is so relaxing, and even if you're surrounded by people you don't know it still feels like you're spending time with friends. The bar inside has a large TV with high quality audio and excellent drink choices, especially for beer. If you choose to sit at a table, you still have to order from the bar. Food is always well prepared and delicious, but the website menu doesn't always match what's actually available (there are usually more options offline, including specials listed at the bar). The patio outside has a fireplace, ambient lighting, another bar, more TVs and plenty of benches, picnic tables, and smaller tables where you can sit with your dog while you eat. Free wifi is available.

Dion Edon

Great atmosphere, great food, excellent beer selection. The ability to buy the cuts off meat you just ate is amazing.

Beverly Baird

Great environment, great beer. A little pricey but it's on Arlington ...

Alisa Male

Great food and beer combined with music and great outdoor space, make this a must place to visit on a beautiful day!

Ethan Henkel

Pleasant place to spend an evening with friends, enjoying a couple drinks.

eileen mcgervey

Live music on weekends and great beer selection. And poutine!

Scott Woods

This is one of those rare places where parents can go to enjoy new and different kinds of beer without feeling like they are being judged for bringing their kids along. Pass on the food if you are an adult, but it has ok offerings to keep the little ones satisfied. You'll find much better food across the street at either Lost Dog, Stray Cat, or Lebanese Taverna. So come here for a pre-dinner drink or two, leave for dinner, then maybe come back! Service is typically much better during the day than at night.

Kevin G.

Awesome staff, and a wide selection of premium drinks (alcoholic and non). They may specialize in beers, but don't let that fool you. The Beer Garden also carries excellent ciders, and even quality ginger ale!

C .

Good food and beer but expensive for what it was. There are definitely similar options at better price points in the area.

Jean Broderick

Really best place. Good music and great atmosphere

Ed Mc

Superbowl 50 party with 5 TVs, indoors and out, fire pits and great service, food, and drinks

ramsay tanham

Good beer

Casey Perry

This has been my neighborhood bar for several years. Good if you're a beer nerd like me, but there are no cocktails and limited options for soft drinks. It's a family vibe until about 9:00. Live music on the weekends in the summer months. Camp fires in the cold months. It can be pretty crowded at peak. Good crowd and friendly staff.

Keith Reeves

One of the very best brew spots in NoVa.

Dane Daughtrey

There were a lot of children. The literal definition of neighborhood bar. It seemed odd with the amount of children that were around a "beer garden".

Benjamin Medina

Beer is slightly expensive. Worst of all I received bad customer service when I tried to order my food. Luckily the atmosphere isn't too bad outside, as well as the beer.

Frank Mikolajczak

Great spot, especially on a nice autumn day! Atmosphere is very comfortable and neighborly, the brew selection is really on point and the food is great. Highly recommend this spot!

Jason Thelen

Great dive bar with good beer and pie flights...

Christine Kemp

Amazing

Hayden Ludwig

Worst service I've had in years. Bartender was rude to my wife and couldn't get a beer order correct. Last time I'm coming here. Hire competent staff.

Zoe R

Outdoor seating and an immense craft and local beer selection at the bar as well as in the adjacent store.

Josh Kandies

I've been here a few times with my family and just with friends. They have great beer and great food. I recommend it for a kid-friendly family outing or for just a group of adults.

Eric Simmerman

Solid burgers, taps that change weekly, and personality to spare. It's not for everyone - especially not for those that use the word "hipster".

Jeremy Beales

Great beer selection and really fun neighborhood vibe. Music out on the patio is great!

Marcus White

Great local meet and drink. If you love to try new craft beers, you will love this places ever-changing lineup. There is also a surprisingly robust menu including yaki mandu, burgers, wings, salads, and handmade pie.

Alex Olivo

Amazing food and beer. Great local spot!

Mason Eoyang

Decent place in area that is not known for late night. Beer is decent and appears craft brewed. ABV will sneak up on you if not paying attention. Local Live music when the weather is nice gives a real feel of neighborhood. Food at the end of the evening is terrible, but if you are looking for something to soak up the alcohol before going home, the nachos will do the job, but not my favorite.

Cary Moore

Solar Pluto

This market is the ultimate heaven for a man! Lots of premium cut, healthy meat and greatly brewed craft beers! I could stay here all day! A great add on, is that they have a very nice outdoor patio for you to enjoy your beer and food with the fresh air.

Jacqueline Reardon

Blake Nelson

Fantastic local place to drink good beer and hang out with the family. Their out door patio is one of the best in the area.

Brian Darnell

John Hartel

Had lunch there. They consistently serve the best BLTs on the planet. The beer is overpriced though.

Ed Mc

Great selection of beer, nice selection of wine. The organic meet at the butcher and the bar food is excellent... The beer garden atmosphere outside is wonderful for enjoying the venue or televised events.

Erin Reuss Alconcel

Good food, beer, but rude deli counter people!!!! I like this place a lot for the beer. The food is also very good but the guys in the deli are so rude. The other day my friend and I went here to pick up their smoked BBQ and the deli counter guys ignored us. We patiently waited and when they greeted us they seemed annoyed that someone want food to go! I really like the food and was trying to introduce it to a friend. She asked what sides she could get with her meal and the guy told her "I don't care." very weird. I know they smoke the meats out back and they are yummy. However, while my 20 minute wait for our to go order I watched the deli guys warm brisket in the microwave. I like good food but hate the idea of people warming food in a microwave. They have a great place but the guys in the deli need to step up their game. No one wants to treated so rudely. I will give it another try and well see.

Janet Crowe

It's a local family owned and operated business with a nice bar and a beautiful outdoor beer garden.

Joel Riley

Excellent rotating beer selection, chill environment, and good BBQ. Was our favorite spot for meeting up with friends or watching a football game when we lived in the area.

José Padilla

Nice strore

Diego T

Elizabeth Dexter

Beer is great. Food not so much.

Jon Grant

Great place for families, millennials, retirees, and beer lovers of all (legal) generations alike.

Stephen Starr

Beer drinkin' heaven

Eric Sedwick

Great beer, good vibes, and great prices. Went here for the first time on Tuesday, was pleasantly surprised. I love the homey atmosphere. Will be coming again soon. I nice hidden gem.

Cameron Dunlop

Very good steak. Beer mehhhh. Can't we just have the odd pilsner or lager?

Brian Darnell

I love that place. The Hicks family that ownes/runs it are loving and kind hearted.

Thomas L

Always hard working employees and well made, tasty food

Anthony Capozzoli

Confusing. We couldn't get one of the hipster servers to come to our table. Disappointed just ended up leaving.

Ben Nelson

Drank and smoke here

Sebastian Dunne

I rarely write reviews, but after trying this place four times I feel compelled to warn anyone thinking about going here. If you like being ignored and mistreated by inked-up hipsters who know nothing about food or food service, by all means, this is your place. The staff are completely unaware of what's happening on their own patio (including safety issues) and can barely be bothered to look up from their smartphones to offer you service. The "Cubano" sandwich was a soggy mess, dripping with grease and completely unlike the classic Cuban sandwich offered by The Caribbean Grill, for comparison. And this only reminds me of the so-called barbecue here, for which they charge something like $12 a pound. It's also a greasy mess. I've eaten true barbecue all over the South and I've never been served so much fat, gristle, and bits of bone, and never for $12 a pound. If this place wasn't one of the few to have outdoor seating in this area they wouldn't have survived a month. And lest you think I missed the point of a *beer garden*, I love beer, but all they seem to serve are extra-hoppy IPAs (bored now) and snooty beers I'm supposed to drink from a snifter. No thanks. Do yourself a favor and buy a fire pit for your backyard and some decent beer from Lost Dog and enjoy yourself. Life is too short to spend another minute of it at this lamentable hole.

Lee Hoggard

Good beer selection, decent pub food.

Ken Courtade

Best pub/beer garden food I have ever had! We live in the Westover neighborhood where the beer garden is located, and it is our go-to place to hang and taste some great beer with friends and real estate clients. Hole in the wall incorporated into a supermarket. Fun. Exceptional food and beer. Great casual place to drop in with our buyers when out looking at houses for them to buy in Arlington.

Tom Byron

Friendly neighborhood beer bar with outside seating as well as an inside space, and live music.

Charles Corson

Great beer, frindly people.

CHRISTOPHER POWELL

Mike Hulme

Great food selection, much better than your usual pub grub but not overpriced gastropub stuff. Small but well curated craft beer selection; you will likely find something you like. "Local pub" vibe, cool outdoor beer garden when the weather is nice.

mason starr

great place to meat friends after work and listen to music. but the stores filthy.

Robert Albro

Nice casual atmosphere, good beer selection, and a welcome sociable space for folks in Westover.

Penny Royal

This place is the perfect pub. Cozy, good food, not pricey, and good beer.

Terry Watson

While revisiting the neighborhood I grew up in, stumbled upon this place. Low-key locals place with nice selection of craft brews. Can't wait to go back I try the beer garden when it's warmer. The cheesesteak was the best I've had in a long time!

Ebony Alicia

First time here. As a karaoke fan, I have to say this probably had the best variety of singers I've come across ever. The bartender got up and rocked out as well, adding a nice inviting feeling, as he got the crowd involved. If you want an evening of quality singers, look no further! I think this is my first review only because I don't usually take the time. This was worth it.

Julie Stewart

The Nonessentialz were the best tonight!

Daniel Young

Great place. Good food.

Han E

Average food and beer. Great local patio to soak up rays on a beautiful day

Jennifer Chranowski

The beer was good and food was ok. They could have chosen something better to put on the television...

Katelynn McFarland

Favorite spot.

Andy Clark

Just ... Awesomeness.

Andrew Auchter

Good selection, live music, nice outdoor seating as long as the weather is good.

Jon Rochefort

Great place for craft beer. Outdoor seating and live music. In the winter it's also great because they have fires outside to keep you warm!

Rebecca Teed

I've been here a few times for lunch and dinner with my parents. So far, my favorite has been the brat-burger (on a pretzel bun). We almost always eat outdoors, at shaded shaded picnic tables. The indoors section is smaller, but there are always people at the tables and the bars. It's attached to a grocery store with a lot of different kinds of soda, which you can buy and take to your table. They've often got live music, which isn't too loud. Service is generally very reasonable, although it's always busy, and there's parking in the back (shared with the rest of the shops).

Matthew Hand

Sam Bosley

Great place to meet friends and have a pint... Their Cuban sandwich is pretty decent too

Tommy Domingue

If you are interested in an eclectic collection of beers, this is a must visit place. A normal small neighborhood grocer with a stock of some exotic beers available. Totally worth a visit.

Steve Martin

A great beer buffet - to enjoy on the patio or take home to impress your friends with.

Dave Elliott

Excellent beer selection, great atmosphere, great service, good food. A+

Mallory Bramlett

This place is great. Fantastic atmosphere and really good food. The market inside is my go to for butchered meat.

Ed Delacruz

Good food, good variety of microbrews and entertainment on weekends. Kid friendly but sometimes very crowded when the weather is great. With firepits during the winter, and year round place both inside and out

Brionne Griffin

After hearing rave reviews from two of my friends about this place, I couldn't wait to go try it out last Friday. I was rather disappointed, though. This must be a late night place for young people because when we tried to go around 6 p.m., the place was swarming with children. Now I love kids, but when they are out of control, it's not very enjoyable. We got in line for a beer, but as we waited, more and more kids started crying and we decided that if we were going to spend $8 on a fancy beer, we wanted to be somewhere we could enjoy ourselves.

Misha V

Really fun spot to hang out. No cocktails but always a good selection of craft beers. Pies are really good but they tend to run out so order early.

Elizabeth Bausch

Neighborhood gem. Great draft rotation. Staff is super knowledgeable. Live music on some nights and outdoor TV!

Stephen Starr

My favorite place to get a beer. Insider tip- they have the world's best crab chowder soup in the frozen section.

Bernie Baskin

Amazing beer selection!

Mark Eberhart

This place gives heart to Arlington. Unpretentious and child-friendly, this is the kind of place that brings a community together.

Stephen Lloyd

Nice neighborhood market. Mixed review on their inventory. Very random. Overly expensive as well. Nice that they have a butcher on premise (mornings only) but the vegetables need an upgrade. Sandwiches are amazing and tasty. Tons and tons of beer available. Lots of wine too, but mostly $5-10 dollars more than most places. Loads of potential to be a 'positively talked about' market, but they fail on so many levels that it just is 'the closest place to go' for most of what residents need. Staff is friendly and associating, but they are really missing the mark on what they could be! Which is a 'go-to' place with amazing items at a value!

Liviston Somoza

Eric Bozoian

Christopher Nettles

Selection of groceries is sometimes limited. Butcher is fantastic. A beer-lover's paradise.

P Mac

This place is awesome! You will meet your best friends here for real!

Wesley Stien

Westover Market recently lost my business by refusing to honor their shelf price even when shown the tag. I find their prices to already be the highest in Arlington. I've tolerated that in the past because the beer selection is good, it is convenient, and I like to support local shops. I suggest walking across the street to Lost Dog Cafe instead. The beer selection is slightly smaller but the quality is stellar and there is much less filler. It is also a local store, the service is much better, the prices were slightly better and their mission extends beyond running a business, which may partly explain my experience as a customer. Cheers.

Justin Hopkins

This is a beer store that sells bananas. Not a fan.

Diane T R Clark

Matthew Hand

Giselle LP

Well-stocked little neighborhood grocery store. The closest thing to a NYC-style 'bodega', including a butcher shop. Amazing selection of wines, beers and ciders. Helpful and friendly staff too.

S M

Amazing beer and wine selection with a full market. Great place for meats and cheeses too.

Andriy Nix

Lisa DiConsiglio

The best place to spend a sunny summer afternoon.

Brendan McQuade

Took a date here in winter. You just can't beat sitting around around a roaring fire pit and drinking draft microbrew while watching NFL on flat-screen TVs. No kidding: they had five-log fires going in three steel fire pits. In summer, they had live bands on the reg. If you knew what you were doing, you'd order Mandu, Bulgogi, sesame noodles or a cold deli sandwich and go out onto the patio for three or two beers. The taproom is new since I moved, so I can't speak to that. Even without it, though, this was a consistently good place for beer, jams, light fare and a college-town vibe.

Jeff G

Great beer selection.

Blzck Jack

Chris James

David Updike

Lot's of fun with music, beer and nosh. Outdoor dining mostly picnic tables ...cuple of TVs for games. Nice mix of live music with sports in background.

Ralf Carbe

we had a good time

David Swift

Good place to get a beer

Alonzo Zarzycki

The Westover market is magic. Great people, great vibes, great food and the beer is top notch. If you want to have a good time with family or friends, this is the place.

Mike Miller

Westover beer garden day care appears to be here on the weekends. More people under the age of 10 running around drawing with chalk on the ground than adults sitting enjoying a beer. Go there on a weeknight instead to catch a more relaxing environment. Food is thoughtful and okay. Beer list is decent.

Kevin Bailey

Friendly outside pub. Great when the weather is nice. Bar is outside. Picknick tables are available. It has the feel of a pop up beer garden. Not much to it but definitely a fun place to be on a perfect day.

Russ Reid-Smith

Good beer and good food. They're expanding too. Live music.

Lydia Harto

Great craft beer. Very busy. They could use more seats.

Nolin Huddleston

Great neighborhood spot with live music on Fridays in the summertime.

Colin Mannes

Great selection of beers and tasty menu!

Beth Teigue

Kid friendly place with great draft beer where I won't be judged. Small menu that's well prepared and nice outside ambience

Favio Garcia

Friendly neighborhood craft beer bar.

Scott Shields

Great microbrew selection and food, very helpful staff, and love being outside in cold weather or warm

Brad Kiger

For the folks complaining about service this is essentially a self service place...you order your food and drinks from the bartenders and the servers just bring food out they dont refill drinks or get orders. Sanwhiches are big and 10 to 12 bucks...best beer selection around but most are 8 bucks or more. Solid place to chill outside and relax.

Rob Shearer

Brilliant place for chilling, drinking quality beer and eating great nachos and burgers.

Jason S

I had a great time there this past weekend. i love the outdoor beer garden. great craft brews on times. Beware, weekend afternoons can be packed with young families and their <10year old kids running around...

Natalie Penoyar

Good food great beer. Love the outdoor space with live music and room for my kid to run around.

How many beers can you name?

Great selection of beer, great selection of food and a friendly atmosphere. Good spot to have a drink with friends. In colder months, seating inside can be sparse.

Jose Casey

Hip spot in Arlington for a beer in the patio or at the bar.

This is a fine beer garden. Off the street in a small strip mall, good range of draft and bottled beers, good food, and a great vibe. You're in North Arlington, so it's not cheap, but a really nice neighborhood kind of feel makes it a good place to spend your time. It's open all year: wood fires keep you warm in winter, and there is live music in the warmer months.

Always good beer, great service, best hotdogs in town and if there is live music in the late afternoon/early evening our young son loves to show off his dance moves with the other kids

Somewhat small outdoor area can get crowded on nice nights/popular dates but well worth the visit either way. Falls church crowd is good people, stop by for a quick drink, or the store inside has lots of selection and plenty of local stuff which I like. Live music tonight. Little known bar around the corner that I like too. Highly recommend this outdoor beer spot.

Great atmosphere in the Westover area. Offers delicious beers, food, and groceries at very reasonable prices.

Amy Heald

Local gem with great beer and atmosphere... food is very decent.

Tim Watson

Nice place, although beer is really pricey.

So hard to find a good butcher. By far the best in the area. Also a great selection of beer and reasonable prices.

High rating is mainly for the beer garden/restaurant. Regarding Beer Garden: Good food/specials, good draft beer selection, fun outdoor atmosphere, great staff. If you want to relax outside with a beer by a fire in the winter, or listen to bands in the summer and eat good food while you do it, this is the only place in Westover to do it, and they do it well. They also have a book club and a science night. It's really great. Regarding the Market. Beer selection is good. Market is a bit more expensive than it should be. Produce is mediocre at best. Not really a very good market overall, but the only general market in reasonable walking distance of Westover. The upside is that they have a really good and sometimes exotic meats, and tons of beers. My high rating is really for the beer garden/bar which I wouldn't want to give less than 5 stars. If I were rating just the market, it would be 3 stars.

Finding beer is like an easter egg hunt because they stash it EVERYWHERE! If there is a spare gap in a shelf, there's a 6 pack there. In the warmer months, hit up the outdoor beer garden to sample a slew of great craft beer.

Really great market run by even better people. Picked up a few things from the market and decided to grab lunch at the deli. Had a delicious Cuban sando. This is the type of place that everyone in the area really appreciates being there, check it out.
