We live in Harford County and drive to this butcher for 90% of the meat we buy. We purchase whole animals from farmers in Howard County who use this butcher. We are pleased with the product and usually buy additional sausages and other cuts when ever we pick up our order. I love their hot Italian, bratwurst, applewurst, sage, and maple sausage. The 3 star rating is mainly because dealing with them when submitting cut sheets is not as user friendly as it should be. The website doesn't have all of the cuts that they actually offer. For example there are various sausage flavors that you can choose but are not listed. You can also order sausage ropes, links, or loose but only two options are listed. With our lambs we have ordered boned and rolled leg but the processing is not consistent from year to year. Sometimes it's a whole roast other times its packaged as a roast but it ended up being boneless chips. If boneless chops are an option I want to see that on the cut sheet because there are times I would prefer that. Also if you don't do a cut sheet then they will cut the animal off a previous cut sheet and my wife and I change the cuts we want from year to year so this is frustrating. Lastly, sometimes I get a call saying my animal is ready and other times we don't. This is an investment which gets you a good quality meat at a cost effective rate but I would like the whole process to be more seamless.
