This store is a favorite of lower income residents. Produce is better than I expected. Frozen foods are not kept on closed freezers, there are open freezers along the isle . Usually a wait for checkout. Bring your own shopping bag as there's a charge for theirs

The staff and customers are awful. My cashier wouldn’t even look up at me. I honestly have never been treated worse by a group of employees in my life. I told all of my coworkers to stay away from here. I have had good experiences at Save A-lot locations in the past but this one was truly awful. If I could give it less than one star I would. All of their employees need to be fired in my opinion.

Wednesday May 2, I went inside save a lot. To buy some plantains, I came home to boil them. I peeled them cut them up. As it was boiling and finish cooking they was pink. I broke them apart just as showing. Nothing but discoloration. Won’t be shopping there anymore......

Brooklyn Park Save A Lot is a excellent store and always nice and friendly staff. The Baltimore City location on Caroline St is slow and always only 1 cashier and the meat selection is awful on certain days like they don't see that brown old meat sitting there.

There is not much of a selection, and most items were generic brands that I've never heard, which are good on prices but I'm always a little skeptical on buying them in case they don't taste right. The organization of the items on the shelf was not too good. I can honestly say that I've never been to a grocery store that charged you for the bags, but they cost 10 cents a bag here, so bring your own or carry stuff in your arms. They have the carts blocked onto the sidewalk so you can't push your carts to your car. While in the checkout line the woman in line ahead of us was equally surprised as we were that they charged for the bags and the employee was somewhat rude in his response that they do in fact charge for them, so in my opinion service could have been better.

A true temple for Savoh, god of cheapskates. Burn an offering of coupons on his traditional altar of penny rolls before you shop here to be blessed with finding half of the things you need at a quarter the price. In His wisdom, they did not carry black tea, but instead have imparted me with black tea with orange for a single dollar. In my hour of darkest need for a single red onion, I could not find one, but an entire bag labeled 2lbs holding three small onions was only 38 cents, and held almost a pound of onion! Savoh's Lot is truly mysterious to mortal minds. Rejoice!
