Be very careful if you get something at the deli counter they will put the higher price sticker on your meat and if you don’t look at it and go through check out and don’t check it till you get home and noticed that they’ll charge you 899 a pound instead of the 699 that should’ve been charged . This has happened to me too many times for it to have been an accident . Always check the dates on their produce Many times produce is packed several days before it’s out on the counter for purchase . Stephen not at all friendly store relatively dirty

Probably the worst run grocery store at which I have ever shopped, and I've been to a lot. Was my first and last experience today. Two lanes open on the day before NYE, and when they finally open a 3rd the employee puts in people who have been waiting a lot less time ( i.e. 20 minute difference) than others. She only relieved one of the congested lines, and ignored the one we were in. Another customer ahead of me was apoplectic about her poor customer service.

Very poor customer service. No one at the Customer Service desk at 12 noon to register as new customer. Waited 4 min and then asked passing cashier who ignored me if I could get a card. She took me to her register, gave me a card, and told me to register online. Store is clean, well stocked with no clutter in aisles. Lots of grab and go prepared foods that looked tasty. Cashier charged me regular price on sale sodas, so @ 12:45 pm I returned to Customer Service where no one was behind counter, again! Walked out of store with groceries and overpriced soda at 12:50. Mgr, JC Evans, needs more training.

Not sure who runs this place. Bathroom was a wreck. Chart to check cleanliness of the bathroom was almost a couple weeks old and blank. Gross. I don’t want my daughters going in there.

I like Safeway - it’s convenient and open 24 hours - decent fresh produce, meats and good sales if club member. The major issue is staff seems to be always complaining about something and they do it in front of customers - and frankly it’s awful to sit there and listen to that about the store - issues with a store and mgmt should NEVER be discussed on floor with customers around

Leaving the cart locked up. A woman ran towards us and wait a minute . Not sure why you have the carts lock up if you going to let people go outside with him anyway. Made no sense. Jerked my grandson son's neck as I was pushing the cart and it came to an abrupt stop. Annoying. Advertised a product that hangs in an aisle for $2.00 and they charged me $2.99. My fault for not paying attention. Had my grandson with me . . . I would much rather he was safe . . .

The Safeway in Gambrills is a good store. Its got a variety of bathroom products and stationary craft alongside being a grocery store. Its very convenient because its even open after 1:00am. Its also convenient that its located in a shopping center. But the prices...sheesh. Even if youre a club member its one of the more expensive grocery stores.

Open 24 hours, got it. false advertisement. They open at 6am because they need to wax the floor but the door is opened so I assume I can shop. Some woman walks up to me and starts screaming at me saying "how did you get in here?? We don't open until 6." Wow, customer service. Thanks for treating me like a child. I live up the street from here but I'll just sit and wait in the Wegmans parking lot to not deal with this nonsense. Shame, because we Safeway is closer to us.

Had a horrible experience there Saturday evening - 9/23. Purchased steamed snow crab legs around 8pm. When I sat down to eat them, they tasted like they had been steamed in the clean product they use to clean the steamers. Took them back to the store. While I was refunded the money I paid, the manager on duty never inquired or asked how I was or to offer an apology. never asked for my name or contact information. Horrible customer service. Update - I spoke with the Store Manager this morning. Very gracious. I very much appreciate her response back to me.

My rating: 2.5- 3 stars. The best thing about this Safeway is proximity to LA Fitness-- can run by the store after a workout. What is especially NOT easy are the crowds and lines. This place always seems to be super crowded, both self-checkout and regular lines. Budget extra time.

I went on a Tuesday night around 5:30pm. It wasn’t crowded and the cashier was great! My issue was the produce section. Most of the vegetables weren't stocked or going bad. For example, they only had about 5 different bundles of bananas to pick from, two of which were almost rotten.

Actually feels on the older side of Safeway's in the local area. Has a Starbucks and eating area but everything is a bit awkwardly positioned in this store. Staff was friendly enough and I was in and out on a Friday night around 9pm.

Terrible store. Rude customer service. They have many expired items on the shelf. They always seem to be understocked and out of things. On the internet they said the pharmacy would be open but clearly no one was there after waiting in the middle of the day. I keep giving them more chances since it's so close to where I live but from now on I'll be continuously going to Wegmans. Wegmans excels in each of these areas and more.

I finished ringing out my purchase and watched a caucasian couple ring up 5 wine bottles and was allowed to purchase the bottles. As a Hispanic women, I am disgusted on how I was treated... it’s a disgrace ...

Don't use this pharmacy!!! I guess the pharmacist here decides what medicines they want to give you not your physician. They say things like "oh I don't have that in stock" which are two generic drugs that I have never, any place else, have had issues with. And the stupid "mean girl" stuff behind the counter whispering, so unprofessional. I have never written a review but I hope everyone reads this and decides on a different pharmacy where there are caring medical professional people.

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I came to this specific location because of a gift card service that a MANAGER verified that they offered. Drove 30 mins out of the way for the manager himself to tell me he gave me the wrong information over the phone. He did try to complete my transaction anyway but then gave me a laundry list of reasons why he couldn’t. This was on top of me being on a 10 minute hold to get hung up on and a woman running the front customer service desk who just kept telling me she’s not sure what I’m asking for and that she couldn’t understand me (she did have a thick accent herself). Overall a very frustrating and time wasting experience.
