I was very happy with my experience. Meat was great, and service was fantastic. At the precise time I was there there wasn't an incredibly wide selection, but by speaking with the gentleman whom I assume to be the owner, we were able to determine that they had something which would still absolutely suit my needs. The gentleman was friendly, super knowledgeable, and, most importantly, refreshingly passionate about what he does. I love to see that. He very much cared that I got what I needed, and I got the impression he would have rather referred me elsewhere than send me away with something not to my satisfaction. Oh yeah! He was also funny. Humor is always a nice bonus. Edit: I just made pan-seared diner style burgers made out of ground beef from 6/14/19. I'm not embellishing when I say I'm struggling for the right words. Let's leave it at, "damn that's some good ground beef."

My go-to butcher shop in the DC Metro for the paleo diet. I am a paleo eater, and I can get all kinds of wild sourced game meats, grass fed beef, wild boar, free-range organic chicken and the best bacon anywhere. The staff is well informed, and well connected. You can call ahead to order some hard to find cuts for variety and interest. They also offer sauces, spices and some probiotic foods.

Came here for the first time to tryout their late night special. The quality of their meats (like the most popular meat- brisket) are pretty good; especially for an ayce. Can't beat that $19.99 per person after 10 PM weekday price in NYC! Highly recommend their spicy pork belly- taste fresh, good meat to fat ratio, and drenched in the spicy sauce. Though he employees can be nicer and attentive- wasn't really smiling and felt like they dont want to serve us. Was late and only a few tables were occupied but still had to track them down for water.

I love this place. It's a bit pricey but everyone that works there is so incredible. I've never had a bad experience and when I went in today after missing the farmers market (bad day for me, so I was in a horrible mood) I just stared at the case for a bit and when prompted just asked for anything to make me happy (sorry! I had no idea what I wanted!) Left with both quail and kunekune pork belly because the first suggestion was from the nice lady that worked there who walked me through all the seasoning ideas and how to cook quail had me sold right away, but then I spotted this pork that just looked amazing, and the guy explained it to me and gave me a literal flyer for that type of pork... Lol I couldn't say no to the quail but I had to get that pork too! Walking home with the meat and their advice on cooking was worth a failed trip to the farmers market.

Simply an amazing butcher shop! I've cooked a various selection of meats from here and they are just fantastic! Perhaps my favorite is the smoked pork shoulder. Cook then shred for the best pulled pork you will ever eat!

Everything is fresh, high quality, and mostly local. The sausages and meatballs made in shop are to die for! Ask if there are any Asian chicken meatballs or Turkish Kofta and if so, get some! I don’t buy meat, fish, or olive oil from anywhere else anymore because everything I get from this shop is so good. Knowing all my meat and fish was sustainably produced is worth a few extra bucks; your body will thank you!
