Pat's is a fantastic place. I've been going for the past few years and I've never found a more friendly and accommodating meat market. They take the time to answer questions about their products and even offer cooking suggestions. They also have regular deals that I've rarely seen matched by other stores. Stop in and experience this quaint and friendly place for yourself. You won't regret it.

Best roast beef sandwich ever, grabbed dinner produce as well, but let's talk about service! As a business owner in the service industry I am so particular. These guys nail it! Last time they carried my stroller out the door before i even started to do it on my own. This time a bag with handles immediately procured as I had a tiny human strapped to my chest and was walking. Polite, helpful, kind. It's fantastic! Go....now!

Maybe it was just a bad day for them but I ordered a leg of lamb and after 10 minutes of waiting was given a turkey breast. When I told them that was wrong they apologized and gave me a beef sirloin roast. I left without my order and stopped at another butcher shop in the area instead.

Pat's is the best neighborhood market, hands down in and around Portland. If you take the time and slow down and look around, you see Miyake Sushi, bread from baker's up and down Southern Maine, local hot sauces, foie, baked goods... So, you may show up for a # of 90% lean ground--but there is a whole other layer there. And they open at 6, for us early birds. Thank you Pats and the staff... Always great!

It's the best of the best! Super awesome butchered meat selection. Great deli counter w/ lunch menu, soup, sandwich and salad, plus the best customer serves ever! Oh, the best wicked Joe's coffee in bulk or by the cup. And a craft beer selection and maybe wine. I don't drink wine!

To be fair, this market is very friendly, and the staff is very polite and will go out of their way to be helpful. The reason why I gave it one star was that one month ago when I placed my Christmas Roast for a four Rib USDA PRIME ROAST~~(not Choice but PRIME)~~ order. I was assured by the gentelman behind the counter that Pat;'s Meat Market does sell USDA PRIME grade meats at a higher price than USDA CHOICE! Imagine my disappointment early this morning after traveling all the way down from Augusta that the roast I was given was USDA CHOICE and only THEN was told by another worker that Pat's never sells USDA PRIME due to the very high cost! WARNING~~PATS DOES NOT SELL USDA PRIME MEATS!
