Ok I've been a loyal Carl's guy and will continue to shop there as well, but this new place is great. The people who run it are incredibly friendly, they have an amazing knowledge of butchery. Everything I've gotten there has been top notch, amazing sausages and other cured meats. I'm really looking forward to when they expand their own cured meats.

Wow. Havent seen a butcher like this since I lived in Brooklyn. Bought a Dry Aged Porterhouse that we cooked up tonight and it was *phenomenal*. Friendly service, amazing selection. I will be driving down from Kennebunk to shop here. So special!

Amazing selection of fine meats. The two owners were more than helpful and quick to offer cooking tips and recommendations. I personally walked out with their chorizo (must buy), sujuk (killer flavor/aroma when cooking), South Carolina, and the lamb/feta/olive (their most popular). Well worth the trip from Boston to visit such an awesome establishment. Highly recommend.

Premium meat, premium products. They butcher their own pigs so you can ask for custom cuts. I also tried their ham and salami - hmm top notch. That said, you gonna have to pay some extra bucks for it. Also, they offer some pasta and olive oil from Italy.

I stopped here on my way home from my son and daughter-in-laws place in Maine based on some friends' recommendation. It was a great decision! I purchased several things and everything was wonderful!! Wish it was closer but at least it is in the path of trips to visit family. I will always bring a cooler so I can stop here and bring some home!

The Austrian-style kaesekrainer (cheese-stuffed bratwurst) were an explosion of deliciousness. The ground lamb mixed with ground beef heart was an awesome texture of flavors. This is a small business that is worth supporting, and I enjoy every visit to the shop.

Great place to go unless you have children! My family and I have had a couple of horrible experiences with the owner while shopping in this store. She is NOT friendly with children, has yelled at my son in an extremely inappropriate way, and has even given my daughter disapproving looks and glares while just walking by her storefront.

Not only do these folks have amazing variety and quality, but they are terrific resources for providing tips on which cuts to use for which dishes, as well as helpful suggestions on cooking. All this served up with a healthy sense of humor! Even tho it’s close to a 30 minute drive, they’re absolutely my go-to for short ribs. Bonus: proximity to fabulous Foreside eateries! Win/win.
