Picked up lunch for take out yesterday, this place is REALLY good! Stand in line, place your order, pick it up and pay when it's ready. Take out is probably the norm, but there are tables outside for days when there's nice weather. If beer is your thing, you will love this place! The selection is great, including lots of local brews, as well as your favorite craft beers brewed across the country. I will absolutely be back!

This place is fantastic! Whether you are looking for meats or a hot sandwich. I have not had anything that disappointed me! There is a selection of hot dogs, sausages, bacon, steaks of various grades and cuts, chicken. The hot sandwiches I have tried have all been delicious too!

Stopped here for meat on my way to Kennebunkport. The chicken breast was trimmed beautifully. I didn't have to trim anything! The steak was also rimmed nicely. Both meats were tender and flavorful. Customer service was friendly and helpful. I just wish I had a place like this at home!

This place is normally great. They have double-smoked bacon, sausages, great looking cuts of meat, and very reasonable prepared food. But--today I was pretty disappointed in the corned beef hash. It looked great on display, little did I know it is half salt. Enough for a week. I ate some and put the rest out for local animals. They should like it--combines a salt lick and food.

Carl's was my go to meat market in Kittery. They have a modest variety of meat cuts displayed, but they are all quality products. Want something you don't see? Just ask! They can get almost anything for you if they don't already have it in the back. There's only so much shelf space after all. Additionally, they have a much wider variety of beers. A lot of them you can purchase by the bottle. A cooler has most of your popular six pack varieties as well for the less adventurous or thrifty beer drinker. By far, my favorite aspect of Carl's is their restaurant. Food prices are not over inflated, and oh my is it all good. Try the sweet potato fries with your burger or sandwich. Light, crisp, and delicious every time. They usually have rotisserie chicken or warm chicken tenders ready to go if you want something faster to take home. Need sides of a dessert? They partner with a local distributer to sell such things as Mac and cheese, potato salad, etc. Press, brownies, cookies, you name it. All delicious. Check out their Facebook page for the daily specials. They update it once a week.

The meat is very fresh, clean, and you get good customer service. They also reply to messages on Facebook very quickly. I've always had a great experience here! Prices are very reasonable too. I would encourage everybody in the area to come here!

A meat market, that cooks amazing food, sells all sorts of sides and beer. I usually get the hangover sub which is steak and cheese, with bacon, over easy eggs and Chipotle sauce. One of my favorite places to eat when I visit.

Went to Carl’s Sunday to get a strip steak .I got a Maine grown steak for 16.99 a pound.It was not very good .For 16.99 a pound I should be able to cut it with a fork.I got just as good if not better a steak at market basket for half the price.I won’t be back.

Why don't you pay your staff a livable wage? Then you wouldn't always be in search of workers. I feel the quality of the grilled sandwiches aka steak and cheese has decreased significantly over the summer. There has to be more consistency in the grill department for sure. Tighten it up.

Horrible..! I placed a phone order for a Cuban Sandwich specifically asking for just pulled pork, ham, lettuce and tomato. I asked for no pickles, mustard, or bell peppers. My order had nothing of what I asked for on it and a whole lot of pickles, bell peppers, and mustard.. Everything I didn't ask for..!! Never again will I order anything from this place..!!

For what i go here for, meat and beer, they are five stars. Their meat selection both in the case and in the freezer is great. The beer selection is great; not huge, but with a nice variance. Definitely more beer going on than you'd expect from just a drive by the place. I've even come across a few very coveted beers in this place (Old Rasputin 15 year barrel aged). I think their customer service is their best quality and anyone saying otherwise are probably one of those annoying people that don't take a moment when walking into a place to observe the multiple signs telling you where to stand in line. They have a very large crew of people getting you through the line so even when the line is at its longest it goes quickly. I've been going here at least weekly for the past 5 years and have never had a bad run in with any of their current or past employees. At this point I've experienced them all.
