Best meat pies in town. They GRILL their hamburgers. Most of all, they get fresh, sushi-grade Atlantic Salmon six days a week. I don't know of another place in BR to get fresh, not frozen, sushi-grade salmon!

The cheeseburgers are the best in town! My husband got the meatball poboy and it did not disappoint either! I will definitely be satisfying my cheeseburger needs at Maxwell's as long as I'm living in Baton Rouge.

I used to enjoy this place a lot but this last time I went was a bit of a disappointment. They were not busy hardly at all and there were at least five people in their kitchen yet I waited 20 mins for my sandwich. The bottom of my sandwich was soggy by the time I got it which is a shame since one of the best parts of the Reuben is the crispy rye bread. They do seem to use good quality ingredients which is the only thing saving them at this point. I will probably go back again since its hard to find Reubens in this town but it won't be for a while. Hopefully my next experience will be better.
