You know that we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Butcher Shop is classified in the category of Butcher shop deli.
Super good. The ham hock and hoppin john are fantastic. Perfectly seasoned, lots of different beans. The red fish was cooked perfectly with great seasoning. Great selection of whiskey. And the bacon ice cream was superb.
Le Pig Mac is a must order item, incredibly delicious. I also had The Gambino but was not a big fan of that type of that sandwich. Both sandwiches came with several slices of fantastic Bread and Butter Pickles made in house. I normally dislike pickles but these were perfectly pickled, sweet, spicy, and flavorful. In addition to the delicious food, we were serviced by an incredible staff. They were attentive, provided samples (pickles), and even made a mixed remedy drink for a member who wasn't eating due to a stomachache. This is a must visit if you're in the area (especially if you just finished touring any of the nearby museums).
Stopped by to a quick bite before they closed. Tried Le pig mac based on other reviews along with duck pastrami sliders. Quality was there and price was reasonable. I enjoyed these dishes with their hot sauce.
I had the chili lime chicken thigh sandwich. It was fantastic. Hubs had the Cuban. He loved it. Only concern was i asked to have the arugula removed. Since it was a special they do not do specials with special request. So if you have food allergies they will not change it for you I asked. Other wise really good.
This place has a really good muffaletta sandwich. The potatoe salad was pleasantly tasty and just the right amount of spicy. I really liked the various Star Wars memorabilia scattered throughout the restaurant.
Amazing. So hungover I ate 2 bites. Wish I ate more. But good stuff.
I wish I lived here to be able to eat at this place every day. Even tho it was a busy Saturday, food was ready super quick and everything we received was absolutely delicious! Decor is kinda random but also mildly amusing. Go for the great service and unforgettable food.
I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Roast beef sandwich was AMAZING! The thick cut side of bacon was delicious! Service was excellent.
This place was recommended to us and it definitely did not disappoint!
My experience there was very disappointing. I have watched a culinary show about this place and I wanted to try all delicious dishes. Unfortunately, nothing from the show was available. This place is overpriced.
Oh my Muffaletta
Food great, salty employees. Smiles are free. You have to tip before you meet the crabby wait staff. Must be so busy they dont worry about your return business.
Charming deli with incredible sandwiches and a decent drink selection. The staff was very welcoming. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.
Delicious all around. Def recommend.
They are doing it right ! We walked in and grabbed a menu to decide what to order and they were breaking down a pig nearby. I got the charcuterie board and man, was it good! Very unique space, staff was super friendly, GREAT FOOD
Nice spot, had lunch here on a Friday. The pork belly sandwich was good. Nice in-house made chips too. The service was pretty fast despite it being pretty busy. I’m glad I went.
Omg I definitely recommend the food is 100 percent amazing.
My wife and I went to Cochon Butcher for lunch. We had read many reviews about how good it was and I was a little skeptical about how good a sandwich could be. Needless to say, we both had the best sandwiches we've ever had. She got the bacon melt and I had the pork belly sandwich. We like the bacon melt better, but both were culinary delights. Would certainly recommend this place to others.
It is quite a lovely spot, unfortunately google led me to the restaurante which is on the corner where i dined
Upscale sandwich restaurant. Also has a full bar. Meat is cut fresh for your sandwich. Small inside seating which fills up at lunch time and only a few tables outside. Had a pulled pork sandwich which was good but was expensive and had no side. My friend had a turkey sandwich. It tasted good but was small and expensive. If you want to spend $35 for two small sandwiches, this is the place for you.
The charcuterie was delicious, and we had some jerky on the way out that was phenomenal. Those, along with some cocktails made for a great mid-day snack!
Never disappointed when I come here. Check out the specials.
I had the butcher burger and Gambino. Incredible place, the bacon jam is awesome. We'll be trying the restaurant next door tonight.
The pastrami sandwich was out of this world and deserves six or more stars
This place was so neat! The atmosphere was so awesome! The food was really good! Very filling! Awesome experience!
Great sandwiches with an amazing atmosphere. Wait time can be long but the line moves quickly and they get the food out to you quickly. A definite must visit if in the area.
What a great place. Everything is delicious, from the head cheese, the brussel sprouts to the Muffalata. Keenan was our host and could not have been a nicer person. Highly recommended.
Eat here! Some amazing food and atmosphere. Great staff also.
The pig mac was sooooo delicious
Got the Pastrami sandwich...it was delicious! Was it the best Pastrami sandwich I have ever had? Probably not. My only gripe: I feel that if you pay more than $6 for a regular size sandwich, you should get a whole meal with it, or at least some fries/chips. Paying $13 for a regular size sandwich is excessive IMO.
The only thing that I would say I didn't like about this place is that I couldn't eat every single thing on the menu. Because it's so good I want to clarify that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this place! Everything we ordered was incredible oh, it was really busy but that's part of the fun atmosphere
Nice place people are friendly and the food came out pretty fast I like the fact that the butcher and aged meat is on display to choose from
Good is phenomenal, can't go wrong with their cochon. Rabbit and dumplings are also a standout, but make sure you get some of their cracklins.
Wow! Went on a Saturday for lunch and was very impressed. Entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Had questions about particular menu items which were answered with enthusiasm. Placed order at counter, sat at a just cleaned table, and within minutes our order arrived. Everything we ordered was delicious. Portion sizes were perfect. Just enough to bring a bit home for a late night snack. We will be returning.
Had the pork belly sandwich and it was amazing! Paired with slaw and a Mexican Coke it made a great lunch.
Amazing selection of brick oven dishes. Pork belly is a must to try. It is located within walking distance from the convention center so it is convenient to have lunch or dinner during conference.
This place has a lot of great reviews, but I wasn't impressed. It was trendy for the sake of being trendy, without quality taste to back it up.
Good Cubano Sandwich. Very attentive service. Cool decor around the Restaurant.
Excellent sandwiches and meats. The cubano and the Smoked Turkey are both worth stopping for.
Best Cubano anywhere. Get the smoked chicken if it's a special that day. You cannot go wrong with anything here.
Although busy over the Memorial Day weekend Cochon Butcher still provides great food and service for lunch. Recommend anytime you are in the area. The Cuban and the boudin were both outstanding. Local beer on tap as well
Cochon had a 90 minute wait so we grabbed snacks next door at the butcher. Meats were good. Though it appears to be a grilled cheese restaurant. Duck slider need some more thought, or a different name. It's not like any slider I've ever eaten, and that's not in a good way... it was more like a grill chz sandwich with duck added as an afterthought. Really a shame to waste the duck this way. It was completely lost amongst the cheese and the bread. Definitely not featured in the dish. The bacon melt was tasty. Lots of shaved bacon. The pickles were delicious. But the collard greens could've been more substantial as the lettuce feature. Skip the mac n Cheese. It was overcooked and dry. This whole recipe needs to be reworked. Overall it's a decent place that will fill your belly. Definitely a cheese lover's happy place. I will go back to try other foods when I'm in the mood for pressed sandwiches.
So, everything we tried was great; but the salad blew my mind. The salad. Seriously. I can barely believe I was that moved by A SALAD. Try it. For real.
Butcher is delicious. Everything they serve is house made and they're lunches range from upgraded versions of classics to custom, unique sandwiches. Prices are reasonable and worth a venture out of the Quarter.
Great place for great foods..5★
Great space. Friendly staff. Terrific sandwiches and nice drink selection...
This was my first stop in New Orleans and I could not be happier! The atmosphere is fantastic - great communal spaces and fun decorations. The food is phenomenal, I ate the muffalatta and it was exceptionally made - the balance of meat was just right, and the olive salad complimented the butcher's selection. I will be coming back before the trip is over
Food was awesome staff was very kind and helpful
Great sandwiches. A good quick bite in new Orleans and delicious as well as low priced. Get the brussel sprouts.
Get the Le Pig Mac. It’s pork patties perfectly seasoned. I’ve never had a better one ever. Highly recommended.
Incredible sandwiches. Be sure to go to the butcher if you want sandwiches; the main restaurant is also great but has a different menu. Muffelata lives up to the hype, and service is fast and friendly.
Cubanos are absolutely on point! Great place. Highly highly recommend
Best Sandwiches and Mac N Cheese. xoxo
It was great. Unlike they're disappointing sister restaurant they allowed us to sit outside with our dog. Spectacular food and very friendly staff. Prices are a bit expensive but the food is AWESOME! If you're into BBQ or something fairly authentic this is definitely a place that's worth it. Keep in mind since it's counter service you pay and tip up front.
The muffaletta is great. Butcher looks well stocked and the full bar has great selection of cocktails. Decent bottled beer selection as well.
Followed these guys in a Cooking Show, where they ate and filmed all.over NOLA, which Cochon was one of them. Felt the staff was I.dont wanna say "Rude" , but definitely Stuffy and Short. Ordered 3 sandwiches, Porkbelly, decent , interesting, but definitely missing something. Turkey, good, fair , very fresh and light. Brisket, huge let down, tough, tough meat, and had a weird flavor. Bacon Pralines , were tasty and fun. Overall 3 Stars outta 5, lil pricey and snobby
It was okay. Nothing special. I asked for a well done burger and got a burnt charred burger. There was no flavor in anything. Will not go again. Wait staff was good though.
Amazing take out. Everything on the menu is great, especially the pork hamburgers and homemade potato chips. Waits are never long whether eating in or taking out. Sufficient selection of beer when you're eating in. One order here can easily be enough for two separate meals, especially with dessert, so pretty economical actually. Chocolate and peanut butter pie, anyone?
Nice place with nice price!
The food was amazing. The service was amazing. Within 5 seconds of setting my plate to the side several times, the servers nearby were asking if they could take it off my hands. It was my first time, I really enjoyed the food.
Wow.. food was just remarkable. Been I town for the past week for business and after dining at places like Emerls, I'd have to say the comfort food here was the best meal we had in NOLA. If you are in the area, make sure to stop in for some of the best sandwiches in town!
Perhaps the most delicious sandwiches I've ever eaten!! House-cured bacon BLT on white bread and house-smoked turkey on freshly baked 7 grain bread with as avocado, sprouts and housemade mayo. Outstanding! This sidebar to Coshon (the restaurant next door) is well worth a visit. Watch the butchers at work as you enter. Fun and casual environment with excellent rotating craft beer selection. Geaux for it!! Y
Food was delicious! I had the tuna confit. The pickles were awesome. Don't let the lines sway you from coming in - tables open up and there is a reason to what seems like chaos. The wait staff is very observant and quick. My friends liked their food and raved about how good the iced tea was.
The best Muffuletta in town and the Star Wars diorama is worth the trip alone!
Really good boudin and andouille. I will be back to try other things when I am in town again.
Crooks!! We gave the girl at the counter a 40 she gave us 95 cents change. Our order came and we were with out one of our sandwiches... The manager said he counted the till and all the purchases made since her till opened and it all worked out the same... That in all of 5 min.... So instead of arguing I gave them more money essentially I paid 24 bucks for my sandwich.... Maybe the hostess can use our money for some more smack
The best food I ate during my vacation! If you haven't been and you're a local, you don't understand what you are missing! Go! Go on a Sunday when parking is free and the lines are low! You won't regret it! I had the pork belly sandwich and my partner had the moroccan gyro. O.m.g. the spices on those sandwiches are something I'll never forget. I took home some sausages and pickles I bought from the shop. Worth it! The foodie nerd culture just made me feel at ease and welcome! I loved every minute in that shop and I'd make the 8 hour trip just to go to this cafe/butcher again.
Wasn't happy with the meatloaf sandwich, it was so thin but flavors were good. I would go back again
Delicious food. Loved the mac n cheese and pig mac.
Super cool spot. Authentic food and drinks. I loved the games they had for patrons to play while eating. Very cool 80-90s decor. Fun atmosphere! Bartenders were great ...very helpful.
Our sandwiches were good. It was a little pricey for an average weekday lunch in my opinion. Atmosphere was nice.
Try the alligator, some of thebest we had in NOLA. Bar service was great with a selection of beers from around the US, we tried a sour and want disappointed. Service was awesome. If you are going on the weekends reservation recommended. Also their side shop was amazing as well!!!
This place Rocks!!!!! Had a convention to go to and this place was close by so we went. Was not disappointed!! Great staff, great foods!!! To no surprise, this place was packed but was totally worth the wait.
Great experience. Ambiance and wait staff were impeccable and the food was even better. The drinks were on point and the food paired well. If you're a local or from out of town I would make this place a priority.
Everything they make is delicious. I wish we had one in NYC.
Family favorite lunch spot in the CBD. I always get the Cuban. My wife loves their Brussel sprouts. Local beers on tap. Expensive.
I am visiting from Phoenix and found this funky little joint near my hotel. I really dig this place and the fact that they produce all of their cuts in house. If I lived in the area I would frequent the 'Butcher' often. The 'Warehouse District' is so cool. I love the area.
Small plates good, but the king here is meat! Stick to what they shine at. Beer and cocktail selection fantastic. Full service restaurant next door is wonderful.
Delicious sandwiches, cool atmosphere. Kinda on the high end with prices.
We stopped here for lunch after the World War II Museum. Friendly service and tasty sandwiches. They also have a few great beers on tap. Fantastic lunch spot.
Absolute gem, from the food to the ambiance to the staff. I stopped myself from ordering more at lunch because I knew I had more eating ahead of me, but looking back, I should have done it -- I'm sure whatever I ordered here would have surpassed the tourist bites I got elsewhere. Make sure you go in at the Butcher sign, not Cochon!
Very busy. Great food! Try the Le pig Mac!
Had the Catfish special way too expensive way too little of it way too little seasoning...that's a crime in NOLA. The mac and cheese was good but that's it.
Not very family friendly, lots of the foods are too spicy for the kiddos. Only a few tables low for kids. Overpriced for the food that you receive. Also behind the counters in the cooking and prep area could be better maintained.
Delicious food with a unique twist. Cool atmosphere.
Great place for lunch a very unique place.
A little pricey, but great quality. Beautiful restaurant with great food.
Have the lunch special steak sandwich. Perfectly balanced flavors. The pickled onions added just the right amount of punch and sweetness. Bread that was soft while retaining a nice chew and texture. Steak was thin cut, but kept volume and a toothsome bite. Atmosphere was hip and upscale without feeling too exclusive or off-putting. Order up front, but you're served at your table with frequent and courteous service.
Excellent food and service. A little loud, so don't go thinking you will have a nice, quiet dinner. But you will have excellent food.
Great spot for a quick bite, or hanging around a little bit. Right near the convention center, and lots of other nearby hotspots. They have tall tables and a counter you can eat at. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich.
Le Pig Mac was delicious. The sandwich tasted like a big mac except it had 2 pork patties that were juicy and tender.
Excellent excellent service; fast and friendly! And the food is even better! Catfish and sides were delicious and the muffaletta was one of the best I have ever had... We had cheesecake and bacon praline was tremendous! One of the best quality meals I've had a New Orleans.
Everything we had was excellent. However the pastrami was like nothing I've had before. The most tender sandwich with great flavor. We now drive out of our way to go there.
Simply delicious. The sandwiches are amazing and the sides are on point. The staff is friendly and clearly loves what they are doing. Go see for yourself and try anything on the menu!
Got the porcetta sandwich special and brussel sprouts. Food was great but it is a pretty high price point for lunch.
Outstanding food. The butcher counter also has a great selection. Well made drinks. Good place for lunch.
Great food, nice service, good atmosphere.
Excellent food, didn't take too long to find seating.
We agreed that our Cuban and our Gambino were the best sandwiches we've ever eaten. The potato salad has an awesome and unexpected kick. The house lemonade was perfection in a glass. Amazing food AND great service.
Le Pig Mac is a twist on the Big Mac, but the name is just about the only thing similar. The pork patty Le Pig Mac is so good. Everything about the burger is amazing from the bun to the cheese and the sauce, and of course the patty. I've tried a few other things on the menu and while they are good, I keep coming back for Le Pig Mac.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant! We ordered a few different dishes, but the one that stood out what the Cubano. Rich smokey flavor with just the right amount of accompaniments to form the perfect sandwich. The coup de grace of a salted chocolate chip peanut pie was what really sealed the deal. Fresh flavors mingling in all the right ways on a flawless pie crust. Service was friendly and proactive, and I was impressed by the helpful insights offered by the staff on what selections to make.
It was packed! Quick seating. Quick service. Let pig Mac is fantastic! Give it a try.
Definitely not worth what you pay for. Waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu. The catfish was way over seasoned, to a point where you couldn't even tell if it was catfish or chicken. Mac n Cheese was nothing special and the baked potato was plain. I would not recommend.
Amazing place through and through. First the food: my husband and I ordered a Cubano, a Cochon Mufaletta and a side of macaroni and cheese. We both agreed all the dishes were delicious, however, the absolute winner would have to be the Cubano. It was so rich and so delicious, I didn't even stop to take a picture of it! To finish up, we ordered the best cake we ever had: Salted Peanut Chocolate Chip and Caramel
Absolutely amazing sandwiches. Great atmosphere, great prices, and better than food twice its price. You cannot go wrong here.
Excellent quick bites and friendly service at a great price.
We stopped in for a light lunch and shared a turkey sandwich. The sandwich was magnificent. My five year old, who said she wasn’t hungry, had one taste of the turkey and ended up eating half the sandwich (maybe more)! The in-house smoked turkey is perfect - perfect tenderness, slight saltiness and smokiness but everything in balance and not overpowering. The sweet pickles it was served with was crunchy like fresh cucumbers but sweet and lightly acidic - the best example of sweet pickles I’ve ever had. I generally dislike sweet pickles, but I could not stop eating these. We returned to Cochon Butcher the following night and sampled several more items including the Muffuletta, Pork Belly Sandwich, Duck Pastrami Sliders, Mac & Cheese, Brussels Sprouts, and a slice of Coconut Cake. The Pork Belly Sandwich was perfect and the Brussels Sprouts were excellent. My five-year-old daughter loved the Duck Pastrami enough that she asked us to order her a second. I enjoyed the Muffuletta but for me it wasn’t in the same league as their Pork Belly or Turkey sandwiches. The Coconut Cake was the only thing we got that we thought was a little simple and mostly forgettable.
Warning. If you looking for a medium priced lunch this isn't it. I will say that the sandwiches were very good. But $81 for 4 sandwiches, 3 drinks, 1 small potato chip, 1 small mac and cheese it was a little pricey. Here's the WARNING: when I got home my credit card statement had a $97 charge. We called. They automatically charged a 20% gratuity! This is a walk up counter restaurant! Nobody waits on you! My wife called and was told this is a common complaint for them. Not sure if they're trying to get over on tourist or not.
Amazing food and beer selection. Great staff and location. Great prices for A+ food
Great place. I go every time I'm in New Orleans.
I ran all town trying to find boudin links and omg was this place worth it... atmoshere wasn't all that friendly but the food was absolutely delicious
My favorite lunch joint in New Orleans. I've tried most of the menu but I keep going back to the pig mac. Delicious.
Out of this world. I got catering and it was amazing. Sandwich platter, amazing. Mac and cheese is incredible. Potato salad, chicken salad both very good. Brussel sprouts are perfect. Just go here.
Wow, just wow. If anyone tells you not to see where the meat is made, you can trump them with two words: COCHON BUTCHER. This place is amazing. Judith was our guide to this great experience and recommended everything we tried on the menu. We had the charcuterie plate, the bacon sandwich, the pork belly sandwich, the Mac and cheese, the Brussels sprouts, and a few cocktails off their cocktail menu. We were blown away, you can’t get any fresher than this. Especially since seeing the food you are about to consume being dissected fresh right behind the register. Would highly recommend this place to food aficionados and newbies alike. Judith was awesome and well deserved the credit, she was a master with the menu and beyond reproach with her wonderful customer service.
Literally everything on the menu is incredible. My group was so sad when we had to leave before returning one last time. We plan on coming back to New Orleans soon and one of the reasons is Cochon Butcher.
Disappointed in myself for not trying some of the more interesting things on the menu, but I wants a sandwich and went with that. It was quite amazing. I will afraid that with butcher in its name it would rely on the neat carrying the flavor. No concern there, the meat was amazing, as expected, but the sauce, the bun and toppings were special and delicious. Definitely a solid chef is running the kitchen and maintaining high quality. Easily the best experience so far in NOLA.
I made a quick stop to check the place out! Rum the Mules is a great drink. The cucumber herb salad was refreshing after a hot day & walking around in the city. I will definitely be making this a regular stop. *if you need a little sweet treat, try the bacon pralines, I was floored!
excellent! i ate at the butcher shop portion. the star wars theme, quick service, and most important the amazing sandwiches!
What can i say, It's great food! I'm not passionate about pork but I'll definitely be back for this. Be sure to get the homemade chips too!
I went around 2pm on Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. The servers are all super friendly and the food came out really fast! Very delicious, the portions aren’t huge, so it’s perfect to share a few difference things. I sat at the bar by the kitchen and it was really cool to see the oysters going into the oven!
Cochon Butcher is a small place hidden in Tchoupitoulas st. and when I say hidden it’s because its sister restaurant “Cochon” lies at the very corner of the same street and its menu and prices are completely different, not surprisingly, I had to seat on this first location looking at Google’s pictures until I realized I was at the wrong spot, and had to apologize kindly and leave to continue with my original plan. If you are a BBQ and/or deli meet lover this is the place for you! They have a great variety of high quality ingredients to serve you a good size sandwich with a generous side if you choose to have one. Macaroni and cheese is simply the best!! Coconut cake highly recommended!!! I have to say, loved it and would be back any day of the week!!
Sweet Jesus this was good! From the Bloody Mary to the Brussels sprouts and all the meat I ate in between! Particularly the boudin and the charcuterie platter with Bread and Butter pickles so tasty I bought a jar to take home.
The Mac n Cheese side is absolutely a MUST, and the the brisket sliders are delicious too! It’s a place to stop by if you are in the area!
Excellent food, the Tuesday meal had very tender meat. We also ordered the sweet potato fritters, which came with a yummy sauce. The seating looks overwhelming because there never seems to be space, but give it 5 minutes and someone usually clears out. Remember, this place has been here a while, they know how many seats they need to keep things flowing smoothly.
Cochon is a must visit in NOLA. I love the style and just the way things are here. It's definitely just a fun time. It has a full bar. You order ahead and grab a seat. Can get more food or even go to the full bar afterwards. So many meat choices. If you are traveling make it a lunch thing. Or afternoon kind of snack into dinner
Visited Cochon Butcher for a Muffelefa as the first meal after arriving to NOLA as a tourist should always do. A lovely little butcher shop with craft beer from both Louisiana and Texas and their cheese cake was amazing. The straight to the point and friendly Staff were respectful and didn't stick around and annoy you. You can tell they love their lives and what they do at this business.
The food is phenomenal, the service is incredibly friendly and you can smell the heavenly aroma of delicious, smoky pork products from at least 500ft away!!!
AMAZING!!! We had lunch here while on vacation and it was one of our favorite stops. Everything we had was amazing including the chow chow and mustard on the plate for dipping. We ordered an array of different options including the Head Cheese, Hot Boudin, Charcuterie Plate that had different house made pates. We loved everything and wish we could go back!!! The service was fast and while it was busy we were able to find a table no problem. You could tell that everything was made in house and with love. I would highly recommend!!
First tim here. Wow, this is good! Had the Hot Boudin and the Buckboard Bacon Belt. The flavors are amazing in both. I’ve never had a sandwich so tasty. Will def come back
It's a great place for a quick bite. This is one of my favorite places to stop at when I'm out and about and want a quick lunch. They do great sandwiches with each protein (beef, swine, lamb, etc) and have good flavor profiles. They have a decent selection of bottled drinks too. I would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat or a casual place to talk over a small meal.
Best smoked turkey I have ever had! Sides were amazing too. Fast, friendly service. Spectacular restaurant.
This place never disappoints.
Unlike any other Sandwich Shoppe you've ever been to. All I have to say is, you need to see it for yourself.
Food was very good - very good - but there just wasn't enough of it per plate!
Food was amazing, atmosphere is relaxed and fun, staff was very friendly. The only thing I could find to complain about would be a lack of seating but that's because it was packed as it deserves to be
Get the Head Cheese app, so good. The smoked turkey sandwich with basil aioli was super tasty as well. Rich Flair says “Wooooo!”
Every time I am in NOLO i wat here. Today I had the dog, slaw and sprouts. Delicious!
Awesome, pure glory here! Gourmet Fat at it's best. Not your Daddy's BBQ Pig Restaurant! Like a Black Tie event with 5⭐ Food & Service only I had on khaki shorts loafers a T and a blazer! Cocktail attire and yard sale attire both accepted and recommended! Come as you are for the Food leave with a MEMORY! OH, and a fuller waist!
One of my favorite restaurants in the world. This is extremely high quality, reliably prepared Cajun food. Service is usually pretty good - order at the till and food is delivered to a table you select when it's ready, but tables can be hard to come by on busy days. Some of the best food not just in NOLA but in the South.
Went in and got the beef chiles rellenos as they were on the specials and they were amazing. The staff was very friendly, food came out quick, and it was filling. There were a ton of options on the menu that sounded good, but after talking to the staff, I ended up getting the special and couldn't be happier with it. Would definitely go back again.
Everything was amazing. It lives up to its reputation. The ingredients were very fresh and the bartender was super friendly. We tried the lamb and duck pastrami.
Ordered a Cubano sandwich with a side of Mac & cheese. The sandwich was delicious. It had a perfect meat to bread ratio if that makes any sense. Haha. The meats were tender and not dried out like. Lightly breaded top on the Mac & cheese. Great compliment to the sandwich. If you’re into sandwiches, this is the spot.
My husband and I had just made it in from the airport and needed a quick lunch. The hotel recommended this place and it was spot on for a sandwich and a side. Thank goodness we ordered the mac n cheese for our sides. It was phenomenal and highly recommended. The sandwich was huge and we should have shared. We sat at the bar so it was quick, efficient with not much chatter from the bar tender.
The services here are quick. The sandwiches and pickles are delicious. The Mac and cheese was very cheesy. The lemonade was very refreshing.
Phenomenal all around. Sandwiches, drinks, sides.
We love this place, well worth the adventure to eat here. The Muffaletta was awesome as well as the bacon praline.
Hands down one of the best Cubano sandwiches I've ever had. That being said the hotdog on the pretzel bun was even better. This place is outstanding!
The BEST! All the sandwichs are so good. I've been in a BLT groove as of late. Make sure you check out the daily specials!
Great place for great food. Gave them 4 stars because they were out of the Muffaletta. Got the corned beef sandwich and the pimiento sliders. Did not disappoint. The staff is friendly and attentive. We will come back.
I love meat. The sit down restaurant is nice for a date or business meeting. But, the crown jewel is the butcher shop in the back. They have daily specials of bbq and let me tell you, WOW! Lunch or dinner- you won’t be disappointed. Have a meal and enjoy the show- the butcher carves up the
This place fires on all cylinders. Great food, fresh and prepared fast with attentive staff. The interior is very eclectic and interesting. Most of the downsides are not specific to this place like trying to find parking in the warehouse district is always a pain. And even when there is parking sometimes the parking machines are malfunction, again not a problem associated with the restaurant but the problem that you will have because of where it is located.
Delicious. I got "Le Pig Mac" a ground pork burger. It was amazing. The place was packed. If you go after 12 expect a wait.
Great pastrami and outstanding fast, friendly service, both at the table and counter. Fun decor too.
Great sandwiches and sides for a reasonable price with quick service. Avoid when busy, they'll sell you food when the place is packed to the gills - leaving you on your own to figure out your seating when there's nowhere to sit. Not really a comfortable environment to eat with people crammed into a smaller space. They should really consider opening a second location if they can't accommodate the lunch rush at this location. In short, good food at reasonable price but don't expect to be seated or have a place to sit when busy.
Honestly the staff deserves 5 stars. Very friendly but the quality of food was terrible. I bet they spent all of 5 bucks on the bottle of wine we paid $40 for and I'm pretty sure the catfish wont make me sick but it was pretty gross. First night in new orleans and we really just wanted a good dining experience. Hopefully we have better luck tomorrow. I've never left a bad review in my life before this. Avoid this place...
Gem of the warehouse district and tucked behind one of the better known establishments, Butcher will never disappoint in quality or service. A knowledgeable and kind staff will guide you to your best food experience fit. No matter where you venture on the menu a surprise awaits. Butcher changes the way you will remember your favorite home style dish but always for the better. If your looking for laid back attire with first class food then go to Butcher.
Good food and beer in the warehouse district. Mac & Cheese was noteworthy, the mufaletta not so much, not as authentic as I'd hoped. Prices are not the cheapest.
