When I heard about this place the word was the meat was as good as Harry's. My first thought was psh yeah right. Marketing, am I right? But then I got some bacon, KC strip, and hamburgers. The next time any one saw me I was sitting in a closet clutching my plate crying because it was all gone. One could say it was life changing. 5/7 would go again

Found this place, we went inside and it was clean and nice organized. We were looking for fresh pork belly And they have one with decent price. Custom ordered to cut and grilled, the pork was very fresh and tasty. Definitely visit here again!

I would not recommend this place. Twice now I have noticed unsanitary and unhygienic handling of my food, with two different employees. The first time, my jaw was on the floor, the second time I was flabbergasted at what I witnessed. Incident #1 I preordered some sliced beef, I wanted to open the package to actually see what I was buying before I bought it and to ensure I was buying what I ordered. I opened the butcher paper and the sliced meat was packaged in one layer of butcher paper, no other plastic was wrapped around it and so there was a lot of blood on the one fold of butcher paper that was next to the meat. The employee looked at me and questioned, I’ll clean that up? I said yes, I think that would be a good idea. She went and got what looked like a dirty dry towel and with her bare hands wiped off the side of the package, but spilled the blood all over the counter. She wrapped the beef back up, again with bare hands after handling the dirty towel but now the blood saturated paper was on the outside of the package and she decided to push the package toward me right back through the spilled blood on the counter. She made no attempt to clean up the blood on the counter or even was aware of what she had done and that it was gross. Incident #2 I preordered some sliced beef the day before, I drove down there for pick up. Upon arrival, I was told they didn’t have what I ordered. I confirmed the order, and then the general manager said, oh grass fed, okay we have that. Additionally, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t call the customer to notify them you didn’t have what they wanted so they don’t drive all the way down there and waste their time or at least give them a call to clarify what they ordered. Then asked me twice to confirm how I wanted it cut. I practically had to spell it out letter by letter on a piece of paper, I would like cross grain cut. They acted like I was speaking a foreign language with my request, I was practically insisting, I would like this cut cross grain. Finally they understood what I was asking for, even though the order was taken the day before with the same directions. The general manger sliced the beef, didn’t wash his hands before handling the raw meat and didn’t wear any gloves, handling the meat, had his dirty hands all up in my food. Grabbing from a pile below the slicer, that went directly onto the counter with bare hands and placing it in the butcher paper. And when pressed about the issue, that he did not wear gloves while handling raw meat, his response was, it’s not a ready to eat item. So basically that means let’s mop the floor with it and it’s okay bc you may or may not be cooking it. EEEK are you serious? You work in food service!! It’s unsanitary to handle food, IN ANY FORM, without washing your hands and wearing gloves, that’s how people get food borne illnesses and get very sick, from improper handling and unsanitary handling of food. And he wanted to defend his unhygienic practices to me, basically saying, it’s okay to handle my food w his bare hands that he didn’t wash. I think I just threw up. Gross. I would not go back here nor would I recommend this place to anyone due to sanitary concerns, horrible service, and overpriced products.

Great butcher, in the traditional sense.

ouarmy2012 .

Listen Beef is expensive at a grocery or at a butcher. Why not go to a butcher where you can buy it locally and have wonderful service. The KC strip I purchased was delicious. They have plenty of other cuts of beef and a wide range of other meat to include rabbit. I will be coming back.

Great selection, local products and helpful staff. They custom ground a 50/50 mixture of sirloin steak and bacon for me on the spot.

Alan VanNahmen

Good source of meat. Nice variety.

Ken Stevens

Nice selection of packaged meat, even some exotic stuff in the freezer. Prices are a little higher than the grocery store, but the grade of beef looks better. Their meat is processed before it arrives so you can't go crazy with custom cuts but they have ribeye roasts and the like so you can still get some thick steaks cut if that is what you're after.

Chelsea Foster

Go to the meat place in Belvue. Better tasing.

Mansure Jalali

Thanks for having halal chicken :)

Have tried beef tenderloin, rib eyes and pork chops--all excellent.

Walked in, no one said hello or how can we help. First time in to the store, no help. Another lady came in behind us same treatment. Not a good impression. And meat is expensive AF, $8 a lb for ground beef and $22 a lb for ribeye steak. I'll stick with getting my meat from a family farm.

Ryan Hoagland

My expectations were surpassed. This is a great meat market with high quality meats which you only owe to yourself to visit!

Jarrod Stowe

Service was helpful, probably more so if you're not familiar with what separates your average meat from top-line. The steak was touted as Black Angus, which is apparently the same vendor for Harry's Uptown. I did find it ironic that at $27/lb (boneless ribeye) why wouldn't you just pay the extra $5 at Harry's who will cook it for you and give you a couple of sides to boot? (Price difference is approx but close) With that being said you can't blame them for doing what they say they are doing: Selling high quality product from a variety of local meat venders.....for that I rate them well. On the other hand, if you can't cook a steak (or any meat for that matter) better than Harry's.......you might as well not waste your time or money.

Krystal Cooper

I went there for the first time today. I liked their meats, but my significant other is very picky and he said there was only one other place that had meat this good. The prices are also very reasonable.

Cindy Koon

Excellent quality and staff knows their product. Much better than grocery stores. A little pricier, but in this case you get what you pay for.

Chris Campbell

knowledgeable staff great local meat selection.

Dean Fuller

Was technically closed when I came in, however, was open for a private event. I didn't realize it and walked right in before the event started. They were more than happy to let me look around and buy something. Price was high but the quality of what I bought was well worth a little extra money. I highly recommend the smoked beef jerky and smoked beef sticks. I will be back and I suggest you take a chance and try them out for great quality meats.

Lynn Shipley

I wasn't impressed

The steak we got was amazing the service was great the guy being the counter was very patient and helpful. The selection in the case was a little small but they did have more behind the counter to choose from.

marcus Matias

The inside of the place is nice and that's about it about this establishment. I went here looking for liver pudding and gizzards and was standing around for a good 20 mins and no one came out to see if I needed any help. I finally found a worker behind a highwall counter just sitting there looking at a computer and we made eye contact and all she did was stare at me , everything in this meat market is ridiculously expensive, even the seasonings are an outrageous price. Maybe I'm use to southern butcher's but this place is horrible and definitely not worth a visit.

TIM FEGAN

Ordered prime rib, with one if there rubs... yes it was Little expensive, but it was Xmas dinner. Was outstanding, significantly better than other choices I’ve cooked past 10 yrs. Yes we will go with this again, for special dinners

Victoria Kang

They're always kind and do their best to provide the kind of cuts that we're looking for. Best meat market I've ever been to.
