Great meat prices are a little high but you get what you pay for
If you want fresh quality meat, this is the place! Family owned for 90 years!
Excellent meats and related offerings. Fun to go and watch the way they handle the flow. Great staff.
Helpful, knowledgable, friendly staff. Good selection of meats. The St. Thomas sausages are outstanding. I'm not married to any particular grocery store for everything else, but I always get my meat from Kincaid's. It's also extremely convenient that there's a liquor store and a grocery store across the street. One stop shopping.
A little more expensive, but worth it for the high quality.
The staff was very helpful, and they have a great selection
Terrible customer experience. My first time to Kincaids was about 6 months ago. Cool little meat market, but definitely not for anyone on a budget. I was super excited to see they had one of my favorite sausages I used to buy in Texas, but cant hardly find anywhere else. Fast forward to about a month and a half ago, I went in to buy more and they were out but they assured me that they could order it. I told them to order me a few and they did. It took until last week to finally come in, which I assume took a while due to its rarity, and I got a call that my order was in. I was traveling for work and let them know it would be a week and they said it was fine. I go in today to pick up my sausage that I waited a month and a half for, and I am told they no longer have it. I guess it is common to sell your special orders to other customers. I dont get told sorry or anything, just that they can order it again for me....which means they will take 2 months and sell to someone else again. Moral of the story stay away as they dont care about their customers. Never again.
Top Notch Butcher Shop.#PRIMEMEAT!
Our one and only visit to the store left a bad impression. We asked the lady at the counter if they carried pork shoulder with the skin on and the guy sitting behind the counter chimed in, "not in this country". In hindsight we wondered if I had simply asked about the meat without mentioning my wife is Puerto Rican, perhaps we would have gotten a different response. So he was either being a bit racist or simply exhibiting his ignorance. Pork is sold all over the country AND in Indy with the skin on. Until Marsh went out of business, we bought it there every year. We drove straight to Saraga and had our pick of various sized cuts of pork WITH skin on. We support local businesses and hoped that Kinkaid's would be a place we'd frequent since they're close to our home. Not now.
Best steaks I’ve ever had. Better than anything I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Couldn’t believe they had pig wings the last time I went. This is my go to place for highest quality steaks. Not cheap but worth the price.
This is the best place to buy meat in Indy. I won't go anywhere else.
I have always enjoyed the neighborhood feel and quality of the meat. It’s a little pricey but it’s better than the grocery store.
Great family owned shop with well educated staff
The best butcher shop in town. Great staff. Always going above and beyond for every customer. Check them out!

The guys behind the counter are too notch. So many exciting things in the case, in the freezers, and on the shelf.

Great people. GREAT meat.
These guys are great. Quality meat and more served with smiles and helpful attitudes.
I want my baby back, and I mean some ribs not the girl.
I got our thick New Year's eve ribeye steaks from Kincaid's and pulled off a reverse sear. They were the best steaks I've ever made (so far). Great quality and friendly, helpful staff in a storefront that preserves something special that the grocery store butchers can't replicate.
Best Meat Market in Indiana, bar none.
Super knowledgeable and friendly staff
Great Meat, also with Elk, Buffalo, wild Hare. Duck. Just stop by or call. Great Shop
Fantastic selection and helpful staff. Some of the meats can be a little pricey, but it is all high quality.
On the expensive side but they are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, & will prepare custome orders. I told them what I was making, which I'd never made before & they helped me figure out what I needed.
I purchased the Prime NY Strip Steak Loin..Used it to make New York Strip and Fall Vegetable Roast with Mustard Cream Sauce...a recipe from Epicurious. Wow. My guests raved. And the steak! It sliced like butter! Lovely.
A real butcher. Great meat.
Wonderful place to buy meats and fish: outstanding service and quality of meat and fish and always a welcoming place to shop. In this case, you really DO get what you pay for! Recommend this wonderful market most highly.
Top notch selection of meats cheese and produce at a reasonable price. As for the service; I came in after riding 3 miles on my bike in sweltering 90°+ summer heat to buy my meat and the clerk gave me a water on the house. Needless to say, I will be coming to L E Kincaid & Sons for all my carnivorous requirements in the future.

Mediocre meat selection, steaks were mostly fat and filler. Nothing was dry aged to quality. Surprisingly all fish options were frozen....especially the salmon haphazardly wrapped in cellophane hanging about with no labels or por package dates, of course freezer burnt. NEVER AGAIN
My low score is based on how rude everyone there was to me. I walked in, and no one even acknowledged me, so I stood at the counter and waited for someone to notice me. They literally had their backs turned to me while they continued their conversation behind the counter! Finally, one of them turned around and said, "do you know what you want?" Not an apology or even a hello... I felt so unwelcome by this point. I told him I'd never been to kincaids before, but I wanted to make a special dinner for my fiancé, so I needed help. He then started to TURN AROUND to talk to the other employees again so I interrupted them and said, "nevermind, I'll just take two filets!" He didn't offer to help me at all. He didn't even say thank you for my business or a simple goodbye. I felt like a nuisance after I was so excited to go there and find inspiration for a special meal. I don't know if he thought I couldn't afford to be there or what seemed to be the issue, but if you want to be treated like a customer, don't go here. If gender is the issue, and you're a woman, definitely don't go here alone.
Kincaid's isn't cheap, but this is the best beef I have had in Indy. Kincaid's "choice" beef is regularly better than the "prime" beef I buy at Costco. It you want an introduction to the quality without committing to the price of steaks, try the ground beef. It actually tastes like beef. Be aware that Kincaid's gets VERY BUSY during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Take a number and expect a long wait.
Great service and selection of quality meat
Staff was pleasant, a little pricey
They are great and they are proud of it! Best ribeye in Indy! Highly recommend!
Small butcher shop but great selection of meats. They had Buffalo and ostrich. You can always call and Order ahead. I've always been satisfied with this butcher shop
A real oldschool butcher shop. Fantastic quality, they even have a limited selection of waigyu beef.
I live some distance from Kincaid, but wanted some nice flank steak for Christmas dinner. So, I called Kincaid's and asked if they had any. The man that answered said that he wasn't sure, but if I would hold he would check. So, I waited. A moment later another man answered the phone and I explained that I was waiting for someone to check on flank steak. The man said yes we have flank steak, but they couldn't take any orders - just come in, and hung up. So, I drove the distance, entered the crowded store and took a number. I waited for some time only to find out that they did NOT have any flank steak. I told the clerk that I had called. He asked who I spoke with. I told him I didn't know. He said that I should come back the next day at about 10am because they'll get a delivery at 9am. My husband called the next day at about 10:45am and asked if they had flank steak. The clerk said yes. My husband asked if he could pay for it over the phone and pick it up early afternoon. The man hung up on him. My husband said Kincaid Meat Market will never get his business again - ever! I'm confused. There are so many reviews that say the service is excellent and they go above and beyond. Maybe the reviews came from people that didn't shop during the holidays. We're taking our business to Fresh Market from now on. A note to the owner: Be careful who you hire during your busy season. You could lose loyal regular customers by hiring rude clerks.
Excellent. Very knowledgeable staff and easy to get along with
Nice folks, very accomodating. A little pricey but the quality is very good.
You need it? They've got it. Very helpful. If you're looking for "aged" beef or some odd cuts/meats; go to Goose Market. This is the type of butcher shop your parents & grandparents grew up with. Best butcher shop in town!
They mixed up our order. We somehow ended up with pork instead of beef when we got home.

Good people!
I absolutely love this shop. Everyone is friendly knowledgeable. The cuts of meat are to die for!!!
Great and friendly service. Answered all my questions and then some
the employees are super helpful great prices
Best Fresh Meat Shop in Indianapolis region. Most friendly, competent meat cutters. As good as it was 50 years ago.
Amazing products and service
Great meats / great service
Love this place! So lucky to have such a high quality, competitively priced market (actually cheaper than Kroghetto!) in the village. Their lamb is to die for, and I am switching my entire family over to KINCAIDS-based protein. Incredibly nutritious and pleasure to work with!
Best butcher in Indy!
Arby's doesn't have the meats. Kincaid's has the meats. All of the most delicious, most excellent meats. Maybe you've thought to yourself at some point "I've had good meats before," but let me be quick to tell you that though you might have had good meats before, you likely haven't had great meats, unless you've had Kincaid's meats. Yeah...it's pretty good. Who's feeling uncomfortable by how many times I said "meats" in this review?

Always come here when I need ribs. My favorite meat market
