They have a fantastic selection of not only meats, but cheeses, BBQ rubs, sauces, Amish butter - lots of stuff I cannot find anywhere else. The place is CLEAN, there is never any "butcher shop" odor, and the staff is always courteous, knowledgeable, and completely capable with any special instructions. Have never had a problem with the service. Really appreciate the availability of organic, free range, cage-free, non-GMO, etc.

Between friendly service, quality food and a reasonable price DC Meats is easily the best butcher around. I've tried most kinds of sausage and bacon they offer and I've yet to be disappointed in any way. Their bulk deals are wonderful as well, they'll make you want a larger chest freezer for sure. Oh and the barbecue they sell on Friday nights is top notch

I often walk away with nothing at all and head over to someone a little more helpful.

I originally made a phone call to DC meats to purchase a case of chicken breasts and was misinformed slightly. One of the workers found out about this miscommunication and immediately took action to make the interaction beyond enjoyable. She went out of her way to make sure our chicken was packaged/processed just like we wanted it. I cannot remember her name, but her customer service was beyond great. She and another gentleman made up for the earlier miscommunication. I give DC meats 5 stars because they have quality products and their customer service makes us want to continue going there.

Although the food was good, they changed their original quote for my catering price for my wedding. While in the business they repeatedly acted like I was crazy but telling each other in front of me, I was misunderstood. I double checked with all of my information and they still said I was wrong. Eventually, I just wanted to pay for the food and leave and was then throw out for saying this. Worst customer service I have ever had and I would not recommend this place to anybody looking for catering.

Great store. Had been looking for raw heavy whipping cream without certain ingredients for weeks and finally found it there. In checking the store they have lots of things like lamb, rabbit, uncured bacon , really neat stuff. Going to maybe hunt up some recipes and try them.

We have been looking for a good meat market in our area. We tried a few including Whole Foods and a couple in Michigan. This was by far THE BEST!!! It was more expensive than the two markets in Michigan and is pretty comparable in price to Whole Foods. The customer service was above and beyond helpful and friendly. The meat looks very fresh, the environment is clean and appealing and the meat quality is excellent. It makes me wonder what in the world I've been feeding my family all these years!? I was floored the first time I cooked and ate the meat I purchased. Best part is that you're supporting a local business. We may have to bounce between DC Meats and Whole Foods depending on what's on sale since they are both pricey but DC Meats is our new first choice for sure!!

We always shop here when visiting our friends in Mishawaka. Seriously we enjoy it everytime. I personally like all the sausages they have like brats, onion chedder, etc. The homemade potato salad (red potato) was really great this trip. We ended up getting 3lbs over the course of the week. I plan to bring a bigger cooler to take home more next time.

Stopped in for some fillets. they didn't have any in the meat case but did cut some for me which was nice service. Went to pay for them and they were over $29/pound. I almost fell over, paid for them anyway and was shocked when I got them home. Had to trim them to get the tripe and fat off losing about 10% of the meat. Zero marbling to the meat. Grilled them to a nice pink throughout and they were not good. still found inedible pieces in them and not very tender. AT these prices they should melt in your mouth. I will not return.
