We buy eggs there. It's best to bring your own recycled egg cartons, but we've never suffered a broken egg when we brought the eggs home in the 30 egg flat. We take the flat back to them next time. The meat is good, high quality and reasonable in price.

Only my second time and I love coming here! Great selection of meats, okay prices, and a well-kept secret. Easily accessed via the Teal, Silver, and Illini buses, but watch the hours!

Like everyone else says, this is definitely a hidden gem in Champaign. I don't even remember how I found out about it now. I came here last year in February to buy a ribeye roast to make for Valentines Day. They will take special requests, but be warned sometimes it's hard to get them to answer the phone, and they have very limited hours.

Not very helpful service. I ordered veal shank to be cut ready for Ossobuco a day before, instead of doing that, they gave me almost whole shank and refused to cut it smaller. I don't have any tools at home to cut through the bone, and now instead of having ossobuco, I was left no choice to use it for slow roast... Probably should stuck with old time deli.
