My first time there, bought a chicken pot pie for dinner, spicy summer sausages for my son's family for a snack box. The store comes highly recommended & I have no doubt everything will be very good. Great fresh meat counter, frozen meat & fish items, all sorts of frozen casseroles - Mac & cheese,asked potatoes, bar-b-que meats, baked beans, pies, cheesecakes, cookie dough ready to place on a baking sheet, much more - also a deli & a really cute seating area. Not cheap but reasonable for this market. I'll go again.

What happened to us yesturday. Below from a retired police officer o, I’m not one to post things for everyone to see, but I wanted to put some info out there about something I witnessed today, especially to those of you in the Roscoe area. I was in Main Street Meats in Roscoe today, as I often am. We’ve been customers there for many years. While I was there, three guys came in. Two of them had dogs that were wearing vests identifying them as military veterans service dogs. The three of them walked up to the counter, and appeared that they were going to order deli sandwiches. A guy that I believe is one of the owners of the business (older guy. I’m pretty positive I know his name, but I won’t post it because I’m not 100% sure, but if you message me I will give it to you) came out from the back and started really giving these guys a hard time about them bringing their dogs into his business. One of the guys with the dogs told him that these were service dogs, and they were allowed to be inside the business. The three customers were very polite about the situation, but the owner continued to stand his ground and say that he didn’t appreciate them bringing their service dogs into his business. I was just so disgusted by this. After a few minutes, the three guys said that they were taking their business elsewhere, and left. I followed them into the parking lot and talked with them for a bit. Very nice guys (two guys named Chris, and unfortunately I can’t remember the other one’s name). One of them was literally trembling, and told me it was because of what had happened in the store. I felt so bad for him, and really for all three of them, because of how they were treated. Anyway, I thanked them for their service. I hope they found a good place to have lunch where they and their service to this country is appreciated. That said, I won’t be stepping foot in Main Street Meats ever again. I won’t try to tell anyone where to do their business, but hopefully you will think consider this if you are thinking about doing business with this place.

Underwhelming. Fancy meat place that doesn't even ask a temp for a steak sandwich. Meat was very tender on a good bun. There seemed to be zero seasoning on the steak. There's got to be more than ten tables in the place. Fortunately, during my visit, the one other table eating didn't want salt or ketchup, because I did. Only relevant because there was one salt shaker and one ketchup for the tables to share. The service was very poor. Sorry to have bothered you with my business. When the guy delivered my food, he just stood behind me holding my plate until I noticed him. He set my plate down and walked away without a word. There's more about service but.... You won't see me again inside your walls

Overall good selection of meats and deli. The cafe/restaurant has most excellent cheeseburgers and fries. Prices are quite high tho, compared to a butcher shop in a neighboring county.

Bought a 9 lb bone in, spiral sliced ham with honey glaze for Christmas dinner. Absolutely delicious. The bone makes carving a bit of a challenge but the taste was the best.

Excellent service and best Butcher in the area. They have great prices and fun entree ideas for entertaining. My favorites are the Jalapeno Cheddar Brats and Bacon. I wrap the brats with the bacon and cook them on the grill. Try it, you'll never have a brat without bacon again!! They have a very nice selection of meat rubs, sauces and side dishes to complete the meal. They even have fun t-shirts and novelty items. It's a fun place to visit. Join their email list. They send out monthly news letters that have a lot of good information and specials.

Not a bad place to eat, but not the place to buy your meat. The butcher twice refused to cut a piece of meat due to having just cleaned the saw. Mind you I asked at 3pm and the store closes at 6:30. Also, the prices are high relative to other meat markets in the area, and the quality of the meat is, in my experience, no way better. The store is cute, clean, and there are many options, but you'd do better to head to any butcher in Rockford.

Main Street Meat has high quality meats - I'm especially fond of their jalapeno cheddar brats. Their store also offers quite a lot more than just meat - you can pick up cheese, buns, chips, some frozen sides, beer, wine, pop, pasta sauce, dog treats, etc... The service here is also very friendly - I've never had a bad experience. Keep up the great work, Main Street Meat!

Was pumped about eating here for the first time because I heard rave reviews only to be disappointed when I was told what I ordered on the menu changes and i didn't get what I wanted. Also the homemade parm chips were the blandest thing I've ever had. Plus side was the bread/bun was the absolute best.

MAKE SURE IF YOU ORDER THE PRIME RIB DINNER TO ASK TO HAVE THE AU JOIS IN SEPARATE CONTAINER BC THIS PLACE COULD CARE LESS IF THEY PACKAGE THINGS UP RECKLESSLY AND IT SPILLS ALL OVER YOUR BACK SEAT!!! THE OWNER ACTUALLY OFFERED TO REFUND US OUR MONEY THEN SHOWED HOW LITTLE THEY CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SAID THEY WON'T CREDIT US BUT INSTEAD WILL GIVE US GIFT CERTIFICATES NEVER BEEN SO POORLY TREATED MY WIFE LEFT IN YEARS AFTER YEARS OF FAITHFULLY PURCHASING FROM THEIR ESTABLISHMENT THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!!

These jackasses charged me 38$ for two pulled porks and two small half cups of watery Mac and cheese go to long wood meat market way better go get the same exact thing but better for 12$ and you’ll get more as well as better service the boys there do you right every time I come here they are worthless with help and not to mention they didn’t cook the pork butt enough so it tasted oddly creamy and musty from the fat not rendering but yeah this place was weak as hell looks nice but is a cash grab.

Excellent selection of meat and a large variety of sides to go with it. I really like to grab lunch here, as the deli side always has great food. For the steak and chicken, your only paying slightly more than you would at Walmart... and it's a huge difference in quality. Definitely worth the money!
