I love their whole chickens. Better price than Jewel and they have great flavor. Something bothers me about the 9lb monstrosities Perdue sells, I'd much rather have these normal 3-4lb chickens.

Once you have tried the meat here, you'll never go anywhere else for meat! We recently bought rib steaks that topped any steak house we've ever been to. The quality is amazing and everyone working there is super! I wish I had discovered this store long ago. Ken, Melanie and Wendy, you guys rock!

I had to be on a low iodine diet for medical reasons. Anyone who knows this diet knows that it is very limited on what foods to eat. I had to get all of my meat from a butcher because all grocery stores, even Fresh Market and "organic" meats have a solution injected for flavor. Kalcks was amazing! My husband and I decided that we will NEVER buy meats from a grocery store again. The prices are better than a grocery store, and I know that I am giving my family only the best.

My folks have been coming here forever. Today was the first day my Wife and I were able to make it. Great selection, overtly friendly and kind staff. Picked up some stuffed Pork Chops, Tamales, and LandJaegers. This will now be a staple of ours. Amazing!

I went in on a Saturday to get a stewing hen to make some good chicken soup. There were none available but one was ordered and I had it on Monday. While I was there, I bought a pork roast and oh my goodness, it was so delicious! It had great flavor and the pan drippings made a very tasty gravy. Kalck's is quality.

Went here for my first time today and had a TERRIBLE experience. First off, as I looked around at the fresh jams and such, the older woman working was following me around and eyeing me as if I was going to steal what I was holding. My friend ordered a sandwich, and after it was made she politely asked if they had lettuce and the woman said, "I asked what you wanted earlier!" in an extremely angry tone, basically yelling at my friend. Ridiculous. Then as we checked out, she didn't say "thank you" or "have a nice day" but instead muttered out an "mhmm." Horrible service but good food, admittedly. Will never give them my money again.

Nice, clean little butcher shop. Got a pork butt and it was delicious. The kinda of place that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, small town every one knows your name kinda of place. Quality meats. Definitely my new place to pick up meats.

Thanksgiving Disaster ! We went to pick up our re ordered 22 lb. fresh bird at 4:00 Wednesday , day before Thanksgiving................shop totally closed ! Website clearly stated as the shop being open. Myself and a few other confused customers ended up driving away without our turkeys . Plan no Holiday plans around this business !!!!

Ordered a leg of lamb for Easter Dinner and it was phenomenal! They cut and sized it perfectly to suit my request. We were very pleased and impressed. Will definitely shop here again.
