Awesome place, I've been visiting for years. Whether it is getting a whole hog for a pig roast, or getting a freezer pack, or just meat for a single meal, they've always delivered. The best is when I go in and ask for a cut of meat and tell what I'm planning to do with it. They are knowledgeable and recommend something different, without making me feel like an idiot (which, I was an idiot, so great customer relations). It has turned out better than I planned every single time.

I am from NY and was in Austin for Vacation. I wanted some real TX beef to cook. We had no idea what to get when we walked in. As soon as I came in the door they greeted us with a smile and spent a bunch of time with us. They walked us through all of the different meats and what was the best for us to try. They are true experts when it comes to what to get and what you need. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for fantastic, fresh and affordable meat. I made sure to brag to my friends about how much food we got, and at way better of a price that I could have gotten anywhere else. It was reverse sticker shock when I realized how little we paid for the huge amount of fresh meat we got. Five stars is not enough for this place they are the best butcher shop I have been to.

My husband and I drove from Italy,TX to Longhorn Meat Market and we left home later than we expected but I called and Art answered and told him we were running 15 minutes later than their closing time on a Saturday, I told him we could go to another butcher shop if they couldn't wait, Art's immediate and cheerful response was WE WILL BE HAPPY TO WAIT FOR YOU. So we hurried and was welcomed at the door by Art and his wife Kelly ( 2 awesome) people. They helped us pick the meats we wanted and they cut and wrapped everything up. We hopefully made it worth their while but we will take the 3 hour drive again to stock the freezer. THANK YOU BOTH VERY MUCH. Steve and Marcy Warren

If you want your meat to cut in a specific way, go to this place. When you first enter the place, it may look like an old place with heavy meat smell. That is OK. That is how a butcher shop supposed to smell. Their meats are high quality and their prices are very good compared to chain stores.

Not very many of these places around anymore if you get there early enough you can have the meat cut the thickness that you want how you want and what you need it is all Quality Meat cut daily and is very fresh. Our family has been going there rubber 50 something years
