Best meat in Suwannee/Sugar Hill area! The family business is still going strong. Any cut of meat you could possibly want. Don't waste your time at the grocery store, head to a professional meat merchant. They also have prepared sides and plenty of seasonings. They will tell you exactly how to prepare your purchase and given their experience I would trust the recommendation. If you are looking for a Prime bacon wrapped filet to throw on the grill, this is the place. Service with a smile, clean and brightly lit. Parking available right in front of the store.

This is the best butcher in the area hands down. They have the best steaks. If you are looking for a great place with folks who know what they are talking about, this is the place. It is a family run group and they care about their product and their customers. They have great specials and deals weekly which make it hard to stay away.

I would recommend Wilkes over any Meat Market in Atlanta. My wife and I love prime beef and Wilkes is the place to get it . We have a home in South Florida along with our Suwannee home and we are constantly having our beef packed and taken with us to South Florida , can’t find any beef this good down South. Ronnie and his family are the greatest, and kindest people. You want go wrong purchasing from Wilkes.

I was looking around for a quick bite for lunch between sessions of a class I was taking in the area. I went in expecting a deli somewhere based on reviews and found a sign that said sandwiches. I went to the counter and tried to order but didn't find a menu and the woman working there had no idea why I was trying to order a sandwich. A language barrier didn't help. Then someone else, seemingly an owner, came over and asked if I needed help. They said they used to sell sandwiches and that the hot bar that took it's place was better for them. Confused I ordered food from the hot bar which was okay, but would have really preferred a deli sandwich. The register was by the front which is on the opposite side of the store which was also confusing. These folks need to better define their layout and get better signage/remove old signage.
