This rating is for the hot food bar. Unreasonably over priced flavorless food. Everything is $6.99 A POUND. Doesn't matter if you get chicken breast, green beans, fries, chicken strips, and, wait for it,...........the sauce to dip you chicken strips in. Yes, I said sauce. Ridiculous. Stay away from the food bar and get yourself a pack of crackers to hold you over until you can get somewhere you don't need to take out a small loan to feed that hollow feeling in your stomach.

The sausage is great... the people who work the butcher counter could not be nicer... HOWEVER,,,, the people up front are very unfriendly...... and when you spend $75 bucks.... and the cashier chats with someone else on another register the entire time she is ringing up your purchases.. then hands you the receipt without a word.. it leaves a bad taste in your mouth.... customer service is what brings people back.... what generates more business..... you sure do NOT get it at the front counter

My favorite local store and I can't live without their biscuits! I first went to avoid driving all the way to the city after hearing about their great meats for small groceries and now go nearly everyday! - for gas, biscuits, awesome chicken, Brunswick stew, locally baked breads, and sauces like my all time favorite Tiger Sauce! They even started ordering the larger bottles of my favorite sauces for me after finding out that I couldnt find it anywhere else - THAT itself would keep me coming back alone But Stripling's has grown to be my gas station, general store, light groceries and take-out restaurant all in one. and that's not even mentioning the great people who work there! sincerely, #BlotterMonkey

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly, they have a great butcher shop, they have cooked and ready to eat ribs, bbq, Brunswick stew, etc. Sometimes I come by just to look around. I'm so glad they opened at this location.

Our favorite roadside stop. The best meats and produce around. We travel 25 miles regularly for the pulled pork, jerky, and ribs. Awesome staff!

I visited Stripling's on Thursday March 26 at around 11am. I had the most dreadful experience ever that actually ruined my entire day, due to the way that I was verbally attacked and treated. We are a local Oconee family that frequents Stripling's and always likes their selections on food and drinks. I have previously rated this store (based on prior experiences) I would in no way ever recommend anyone to shop in this store again based on the way that Renee and Teresa treated me today. If you want your business to prosper & succeed get these two yo-yo's out from being the face of your business.

A service meat case not to be found anywhere in this area. Their AM biscuit bar is breakfast Heaven, there's grits too and they arent stingy with the butter. If you want fat in your sausage you will have to add it yourself, theirs are lean and quite a variety , heat or not always available, fresh , smoked, links . Theres not a BBQ resturant around with better Q and Stew, fresh & hot or frozen. The produce department is well stocked, and gifts and recipe books too. Dont miss this store.

Rating due to recent policy change only... Well, I have more or less been a regular "AM" customer since 2013. I get my coffee at Striplings every morning during the week (literary every morning) and I get my breakfast there many mornings a week as well. As a shade tree environmentalist I try to reduce my use of single-use packaging such as styrofoam and plastic containers and bottles. That being said, Stripling's new policy of customers not being able to us personal travel mugs for coffee is a deal breaker; it would cause me to use too styrofoam cups on far too regular of a basis and that I can't do. I assume that this policy is based on not being able to regulate the cup sizes that people bring in and not the "health" concerns which are posted on the little yellow signs. Too bad. I will continue to get meat there on occasion and my daughter does love their Brunswick Stew.

My family loves the Brunswick stew. The steaks and brisket we buy for special dinners are very tender and worth every penny. This is the only local place where I can find Stubs honey pecan bbq sauce. Worth the drive from S. Walton Co.

I bought 2 packs of ground beef for chilli on 11-5-18, get home and it was spoiled. $5 a lb. should be enough profit to afford to throw out the old and rotted meat. Ground beef is a one day product! Wow, you offer me more ground beef. I try not to repeat my mistakes.

Striplngs is the answer to...Where's the Beef?... Cause it's at Striplngs in Spades! And their home made sausage just cant be beat. So much of a delicious variety of meats cut to your liking. Then they have all the sauces and marinades to make any meal or BBQ something really special. Yet so many other items that I dont even know where to start. Yeah your going to pay a little more but isn't having the very best worth it? I love this place! Just know if your looking to have that something special for a holiday BBQ get there early because they have sold out of some items in the past.

Very friendly staff, several of the ladies who work there remember me by name, ask about my kids, just genuinely GOOD folks, they carry Journey Juice made in Athens, that stuff saves me , esp the Beet Zinger, monster energy drinks are like $1 cheaper than Racetrac, great assortment of snacks. Young lady at checkout listened like a friendly bartender after I got in a wreck not far from the store. Very nice staff at this location.

I wish they paid the butchers more. The young kids they employ act like doing the job is a hassle. Myself and two other customers felt like we were bothering them. Better paid workers act better. We went there because of the meat. We heard it was really good. I was not impressed with the service so i wont be back

Always an outstanding experience to stop at Striplings! Their breakfast biscuits are the best around and their selection of local and Georgia made products are the best I’ve seen- wonderful selection of unique gifts too. They have the best meat around and I like the fact that you can choose the exact cuts you want from the case. The store is always spotless and the staff is friendly and helpful- it’s no wonder that the parking lot is always full!

Worst food I've ever bought from a Country store. Cant believe I'm saying this because the store I ate at in Albany Ga is absolutely great. How can these stores share the same brand name but be totally different.

This ain’t just a gas station- if you haven’t stopped you are missing out on a secret that is getting out! The best meat (butts, steaks, sausage) and seafood counter (crab, lobster, scallops, shelled oysters) assorted fish - fresh tuna, snapper, mahi, catfish, heck, even dawgfish (but, I’d double check on that), many other fish options by special order) in town. The store is well stocked with gift items, sundries, desserts, jams/ jellies, sauces, curated foods, cheeses (made to order cheese trays as gifts), wines, local craft beer, local Georgia vendor items that are hard to find, novelties and much more. You must try the hot food bar (specials change daily). You really have to see it to believe it. A hidden gem. You will not meet better people- a professional staff that many call family. Ask for Mrs. Andrea, Mr. Jimmy (the ever-present, hands-on owners), Caroline (daughter), Linda (BG), (EQ) Allison (AQ) , any of the butcher counter staff (they are all rock-stars and magicians with meat- very knowledgeable- grab a ribeye and some sausage while you’re there)! Need gas? They got it! Need corn for your farm arnimals? They got it? Need ice? They got it? Need a last minute gift bag or UGA gift? They got it! Need a cookbook, candle, Lodge Cast Iron, canned soup, plastic plates, cups, cutlery? They got it all! Looking for Lane’s BBQ seasoning/ sauces? They got it! Need local honey? They got it! They also boast a drink fountain, fried pies, Hoosier Girl cakes, some of the best bbq, macaroni & cheese, fried okra (southern popcorn), broccoli casserole, sweet potato casserole, bbq sandwiches, Brunswick stew, baked beans with meat, ribs, fried chicken tenders, green beans, Lima beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, deviled eggs, homemade southern style cornbread and on and on and on! Come get served in one of the cleanest restaurants/ stores with some of the nicest people in town! Why are you still reading? Get up and go get some Stripling’s and see for yourself- “you never sausage a place.”
