One of the greatest butcher shops I have ever been to. So many people to help you, very friendly. They have great deals and freezer packs. The options are endless. The sausage section is great. I like that its not only a typical butcher shop, but they have a great selection of seafood. The quality of their products is amazing. The steaks I got in my freezer pack were unbelievable. Beat any other butcher shop I've ever been to. Omaha steaks, forget about it. Ogeechee meat market is where you wanna go!

Very satisfied. I have a Traeger pellet smoker but was in a pinch for time and so I bought a pre smoked Boston Butt from them and was able to pull all of the meat- 100% off the bone. It was def done right. I also bought a rack of pork spare ribs I am going to smoke myself today using a classic 3-2-1 method. The rack is a perfect size and good quality meat it appears. Def recommend.

For the second time in the past couple of years, I purchase a 100+lb whole hog for a pig pickin' event (70 people). In addition, I bought some hot and mild sausages, and two boston butts. There was nothing left at the end of the day ! The people raved how good the meat was. The hog and sausages were delicious, and the boston butts were extremely tender and juicy. The quality of Ogeechee Meat Market meats is outstanding!

Their market is clean and doesn't have that overpowering "meat" smell that a lot of meat markets have. They have a variety of items and some nice meat packages that great for any price range/family size. Everyone is friendly and even when there's a crowd of people, the wait time isn't long. Went here to buy racks of ribs since I can't find them at Kroger. Ribs were good, but this Christmas they sold me a spoiled Prime Rib wasting $42 and running Christmas Dinner. Buyer Be Ware. The stuff in the case is sometimes spoiled.

I've had good and bad experiences with them. My last one was so bad that I'm not inclined to go back. Bought a rack of smoked ribs from them which aren't cheap. Got home and unwrapped them to discover that they were the greasiest (not in a good way) piece of meat ever. It was like they'd added grease to them. We tried our best to stomach them but wound up throwing them out.

I love this place. Shortly after I moved to Savannah, I noticed that the meat prices in local grocery stores were pretty high and the quality wasn't very good. I found this place while looking for alternatives. The prices are about the same as most grocery stores, but the quality is much better. There have monthly deals on bundles of products and coupons are on their website. I'm not sure how they manage to stay in business with the lower prices and great quality, but I'm glad they do.

Someone told me about this place so I decide to go by the same day they referred me since I was planning to grill anyway. Best move ever, nice fresh meat, awesome variety, and even better prices. I'm a customer for life. I walk out with a pound of stuffed mushrooms, some stuffed chicken thighs, and six different type of sausages for $20 bucks. I was smoking a Boston butt and wanted some random items to eat while waiting for the butt to cook . They hard everything you could imagine.

Went there yesterday for the first time. Drove about 50 minutes from HHI. We finally found our Butcher Shop and we will continue to go back! So friendly and knowledgeable about everything! We purchased Freezer Deal #1. We were even able to exchange an item for their homemade sausages! I believe the gentleman that helped us was John? We will remember him and ask for him when we return! We also purchased their smoked pulled pork and fresh shrimp, which we had for Dinner.. EXCELLENT! I can't wait to go back and try other items. They have Frozen vegetables and fresh fish and a lot of takeout items which are available. I saw their smoked meatloaf! Next time I will have to purchase that as a pre-made to-go item. I can't say enough about this shop and for a first time, I was VERY IMPRESSED! Thank you to all of the staff who helped us. Including the gentleman at the sausage and fish counter and even the check out lady! We will be back! Thank you so much for your hospitality.

I purchased my first "monthly deal" this month and I am very happy with it. Everything is such good quality. I asked for suggestions on which sausages to choose, and they recommended the Vidalia onion sausage. It was amazing! The filets are excellent quality and my husband and I could not be more pleased with everything we purchased. I'm not sure I'll be buying any more traditional grocery store meats for as long as we are in this area.

Went to the meat market for sausage. Not impressed. Very low fat content and not much flavor. Also, the sausage is a very coarse grind. Finding someone that knows how to make sausage good is difficult. Sorry, OMM, not good. On the other hand, atmosphere and service were great.

I enjoy the meat however the sausage stuffed mushrooms just tastes like breakfast sausage and mushroom. I was expecting more of an Italian sausage flavor. Not a big deal But the customer service needs a little improvement. Once I walked in while talking on my cell phone and I was looked at and spoken to so rudely!!!! Everyone was ride that day but the old lady helping me was the worst.hope she never helps me again. This just happened about a month ago.

Find a different place to buy meat. They are perfectly comfortable picking up cleaning rags off the floor and continuing to use them to wipe down surfaces with. There's meat on the floor behind the counters that's been dropped, they're walking all over it, then use rags that have come into contact with whatever is on the floor. I also had to pay a $500 vet bill when my dog became very ill from eating one of their products they sold as safe for dogs. I've seen some comments about help being rude. Yes, some are rude and I've noticed they discriminate against disabled vets, or have very little tolerance for them. That said, I'll miss the pork roast a little, but they're not the only vendor in the area with meat. At least I won't have to eat their products with visions of bacterial and viral pathogens transfer.

Every time I order something from these folks, be it a smoked turkey, a pork crown roast, BBQ Boston Butt, or 10oz center-cut fillet mignon, it is always the very best. Hands down the best meat market in the Savannah area. This place has it all, at good prices, with phenomenal service. It has become the only place I go now when it's time to buy meat. I no longer shop for meat at Krogers or Publix because the prices here are about the same, yet the quality at Ogeechee's is much better in my opinion. Don't knock it till you try it.

Omg I got the garlic butter chicken breasts stuffed with broccoli when they were cooking smelled like garlic bread and once they were done heaven in my mouth and the twice baked potatoes paired great with the chicken I will definitely come back for more : went again not sure if it was because of Halloween or just a happy typo but our chicken breasts said chicken beasts my family had a good laugh and my son enjoyed his chicken more because of it I hope to find more typos lol thank you for having such good food
