I love this market! Their authentic German food is fresh and delicious. They absolutely have the best Reuben around. Their veggie sandwich is good, too. It comes fully loaded. The sausages are great, too! Try the potato salad. My husband loved the southern, I love the German. If you have room after that, which I doubt, try some cookies or one of their many desserts. You won't be disappointed!

Edit: returned again, bought a variety of sausages to bring home and grill. The bratwurst are great, and the hot dogs are one of the best around, according to my hot dog fanatic family. Talked shop with the staff about their products and how they are made, these ladies and gentleman know their stuff. Still docking a star just because no dining room and menu doesn't show everything they have that day, and no prices... But as i said they are very friendly and will go over everything with you, i just hope they aren't repeating themselves all day! They ran a sale on Sunday for bratwurst on buns, and all sausages were on sale that day as well. Will be back often. ----- Doner and Reuben were great, many varieties of hot dog and house made sausages with interesting ingredients. No place to sit inside, and menu isn't totally clear but staff was friendly and happy to discuss what's good that day. Guy on a grill outside grilling whatever sausage you order, with a condiment table to dress to your liking -try the curry ketchup. Desserts are homemade. We have passed this place returning from Ellijay, and while at nearby beautiful Gibbs Gardens -make a day trip out of it. Will be back again soon.

Frankfurt has the best sandwich in Ball Ground! Maybe in the world. They grill sausages on Sundays too. Oh, and amazing potato salad. It's not a full service restaurant, more deli style. The people that run it are so nice and they do all the processing in house so it's fresh, pretty rare these days. Highly recommended! But be careful, you'll start craving their döner.

Wow!! Every single time! We have been going here for quite some time. Homemade sausages cooked outside the shop are awesome! We try new flavors every time. Son of a peach is especially a favorite!! Today we did something a little different.... We were buying some sausage to bring home and decided to go off the board and pick up a couple of smoked pork chops. I cannot express how wonderful, tender and flavorful they were. We've never had anything better. An almost spiritual experience!! Fyi...we just cooked them on the grill for 15 to 20 min. You will not be disappointed here. The best place, real food made by real people that take pride in what they are doing.

This is the best German butcher shop I habe ever seen. Their sausages are a brand new experience. There is nothing in your standard grocery store that would even qualify as the same kind of food. Sausages here are much leaner and more flavorful than American offerings, such as Johnsonville. Try the blueberry brätwurst and the apple brätwurst. If you like spicy, they have a habanero peach brätwurst that is divine. I have tried about half of their sausages so far and have yet to find one that is lacking in quality. The sausages are made fresh in shop and they often change which sausages are made from day to day. When you come for the first time, they offer samples and I definitely suggest that you bring home some of each sausage so that you can discover new flavors and new favorites! Make sure you have an instant read thermometer to make sure you don't overcook the sausages and cook them to an internal temperature of 165°F. Overcooking sausages of this quality would rob you of a unique and wonderful culinary experience! If you have any questions about sides, ask the owner. She us friendly and knowledgeable. Also, she is German, so you don't have to worry about nonsense advice from people who aren't German and didn't grow up with the food. If you want some sauerkraut, they have authentic fermented sauerkraut here that tastes much better than the tart vinegar pickled varieties that you see in most grocery stores. If you like bologna, try the leberkäse. It is a similar product, but much more flavorful and of much higher quality. Frankfurters are likewise a similar concept to hotdogs, but of much higher quality and flavor. They are probably the sausage that once inspired the creation of the hotdog. There are a lot of options to make special hamburgers at cookouts, but hotdog lovers are often stuck with the same boring hotdog. If you want something special for the hotdog lovers at your cookout, try cooking up some frankfurters, instead. The döners here are also beyond comparison to anything else in the Atlanta area. A döner is the German form of a gyro and is available in either spicy, or regular. I have had both and both are outstanding. I will update this review as I have a chance to try more things from this unique and wonderful shop.

I have been going here for awhile now, and going through my feed as a local guides, I can't believe I haven't reviewed this great establishment yet! Amongst my cadre of friends, I am known as the sausage king, (for reasons I will not be going into,) so suffice to say, I know sausage. These guys have some of the best sausages I have had here in the states. If you have the time, go on a Saturday around lunchtime and they will be grilling out front of their store. You will not be disappointed. The last time I was there I think I had a peach/habanero sausage or something like that and it was amazing. All on all, I highly recommend you try this place, great people and great sausage.

Love this place. I recently went to the Peach Bowl ( GO GATORS)and I want something special for the occasion so I emailed them and they suggested Son of a Peach brats. So I got those and regular brats and let me tell you we were the hit of the tailgate party in our area!!! Everyone wanted to know where I got the brats and I was proud to tell them where. BTW the brats were so good we made some friends of the opposing team!!!

If I could give this place 10 Stars, I would. I love their Doner kebab sandwich aka "German Taco. My wife gets the Doner salad because she has Celiac and can't have the bread. They accommodate by making the sandwich into a salad. The food here is absolutely amazing. The staff and family who work there are super friendly and very polite. You can eat lunch and then order some sausages or wurst to take home (which we do). Lots of choices in German meats. I can't recommend Frankfurt Doner & Mears enough. A must visit when in Ballground!

Thought it was cool that they prepared schnitzel on the bbq grill outside... As well as offered samples of a couple of their popular items. But there was no seating available inside and very limited places to eat outside within minimal walking distance. The Reuben sandwich was nothing to brag about.

I absolutely love this place. I went for the first time about a month ago and got a little bit of everything, franks, cheddar brats, a smoked pork chop, landjaeger, kielbasa, boudin, and half pound of doner which barely made it home intact (seriously it's addicting). Everything I've tried is next-level fantastic and super fresh. The spicy landjaeger is amazing and makes a great quick lunch or snack. I've been three times total now and every time there's something new and unique to check out. Today they had blueberry brats which sounded odd to me, but they were offering samples and it was actually awesome! Also the ladies working there are always super nice and quite knowledgeable about the various meats and products. I called a day ahead and got a few pounds of ground beef pre packaged as well as five pounds of awesome looking pork belly slabs which I'm excited to cook in the near future. I'll be back frequently!

WOW!! Just WOW!! The people working there are amazing!! There is no doubt they hand make everything because they can give you every detail. They had 5-6 different meats on a sample tray and even gave us a few samples from the meat case! The 4x4 sausages we had them grill were excellent and the rolls they use were crisped on the grill too. Best roll I have ever had with a sausage dog. Great spot for lunch. Tried two different potato salads and the Heaven and Earth was the best. The smoked pork chops are like none other. We took one home and just cooked it in a skillet with bacon grease for 5 minutes and HOLY COW!! Best pork chop ever! On our way out of town we stopped again (actually called in an order) because the day before, while ordering or 4x4's, they made and handed out samples of a Canadian bacon BLT wrap that was ssoooo gooood!! This wrap was not on the menu yet but they made one for us and served it with a cucumber dipping sauce that just sent the wrap over the top! We have yet to eat the beer and bacon bratwurst we bought but i'd bet they won't disappoint. OOHHHH.............and we also got a few pieces of the Landjaeger (?) snack sticks. Best, non greasy, tasty meat stick I have EVER eaten and I have tried them from every meat market I have ever been in. This place is small but the service and food are 6 star!!

They are cooking fresh sausage and frankfurters on the grill and they make sandwiches inside. The ladies running the show are extremely sweet and friendly. I have driven up here twice now. Tried 3 different kinds of sausage and wurst on each trip. All are good and would eat any of them again. There is not a bad item in the meat cooler. Don't forget to grab a random one being cooked outside on the grille. A hidden gem in the various mac and cheese options in the cooler.

This place is both very friendly and the quality of the food is amazing. I've tried a wide range of their offerings and everything is good. If you are not sure of what you want then they will let you have a sample. Their Reuben sandwich is most likely going to be the best one you ever had. It would be more convenient if they had more seating, but if it's a nice day then you can walk right down the street and sit at the open-air picnic tables there in Ball Ground. This is real German food made by the owners. Highly recommended.

Frankfurt Doner & Meats is a unique and all-around great restaurant/butcher shop. If you find yourself craving authentic bratwurst and Doner, you won't go wrong coming here! The store front is somewhat small, so seating is limited. The real star of the show is the wide selection of sausages and meats that you might find in a German butcher shop! The knockwurst and bratwurst, when cooked on a hot skillet, are exactly like what I remembered having in Germany! This is all around a great shop - I recommend you stop in if you're in the area and a fan of good German food!

Do not pass this place up - it's a real treat! We pass through this little area of Ball Ground often and had stopped at the famous Burger Bus which is an experience eating on an actual bus... BUT family told us to give this German place a try and we are hooked. Several small restaurants in this area - but this one is an authentic treat! Real warm German potato salad, excellent selection of German prepared meats (including sausages/bratwurst/knockwurst/weisswurst/debritziner, schnitzel, german bologna, landjaeger and liverwurst) and HUGE sandwiches (reuben, diner, chicken salad, veggie, grilled cheese). The mother and daughter team in this place are so genuine - speak German, friendly and rightfully proud of their restaurant. SAMPLES offered the minute you walk in the door with lots of information about their meats. Not much area inside to sit (I think there are 2-3 small tables) - but there are tables just out front or it's great to take your food outside to eat on the public picnic benches in the area and by the local park or 'to-go'. They also have PRE-PREPARED meals in their refrigerator to buy and take home to warm up. EXCELLENT option! Lots of fresh baked goods too! They close early (Hours ar Tues-Sat 11am-7pm and Sun Noon-5pm... closed Mondays) - so probably not a going-out-on-the-town for dinner place, but excellent for lunch or early dinner or to-go.

Best butcher shop I know of. And there is competition. The Döner stands apart from all other quasi sandwich offerings in its unique sauce and delicious spiced beef. Their jalapeño cheddar loaf is the leanest I've ever sampled. Annette always offers generous samples and good service from front to back. 10/10. Will continue to enjoy all their tasties!

So much good food here. I always get a German style doner and I usually get something to take home from the butchers case. Land Jaeger is phenomenal. I think my favorite sausage is the 4x4. The smoked pork chops are incredible too

We love this place, it's an absolute gem just a little bit off the highway. An incredible German butcher with an awesome selection of different bratwurst and some other more traditional cuts of meat. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Swing by and get some great food and try something that's a little culturally different.

Why did that one guy rate this a 4? I have ate food in some top restaurants in over a dozen countries, including Germany and this place is a very rare 5 out of 5. I have bought meat to grill out with my family and friends, everyone flipps. About once a month I get about 100 bucks worth it. The only thing better in Atlanta is dining in at Little Ally Steak in Roswell, best dry aged steaks around... meat by Linz. But Little Ally Steak, i spent 590 bucks on 5 people and myself and well worth it.
