My first time visiting today and I live in town. I've heard negative things about prices which kept me out of there and now I feel silly. This is a really nice store that I will be frequenting more often. Stopped in quickly today for a pound of fresh pan sausage, $2.99 a lb. Going to go great in my homemade biscuit and gravy.

A favorite stop for meats and treats. Whenever we are driving this stretch of I-75, we plan a stop for some take-home goodies. The award-winning cheese-stuffed sausages and the snack sticks are among our favorites, and we also added smoked sausage and breakfast sausage to the list this time. Don't overlook the sweet and savory treats, as their pecan candies are excellent road snacks.

Yes the meats and sausage are good and they should charge a premium for them. But how they think they can command , in my opinion, are big price for vegetables in vinegar or 7.99 or 8.99 for corn syrup with flavorings is way out of range. If they are going to put their name on these they should be finding quality products for the money.

My n'laws stop here every time they are on their way up to Atlanta and they are sure to bring us the highest quality bacon from Carroll's as possible. The meat has always been so good and the home-made jellies are even better to slap on your toast for breakfast! Travelers passing through the area, do not pass this place up! Many people visit this place with coolers, in preparation of their purchases. This is a full on butcher shop, and general store with restaurant that specializes in sausage. The employee's are super friendly. I frequently come here for sausage and at times just to look around.

Absolutely one of the greatest butcher/specialty food stores around. Their meat selection and quality are outstanding. Carroll's makes some of the best sausages and beef jerky I have ever had. They have an outstanding selection of house brand spices, sauces, picked items and sweets. Far too many terrific chooses to describe, check them out online or even better go to the store, it's worth the trip.

Best place to purchase Frog Legs, if your not able to hunt for Frogs at the moment. Super fresh you can taste the pond water. Once you bite into them, that's how you can tell they're freshly caught.

Super nice folks and an incredibly large selection of bacon, sausages, cuts of beef, various other assorted meats, spice rubs, beef jerky, candy, honey and a whole lot more. Located just off the interstate, I was so glad we stopped here on our way back to Florida. I got some of the thickest bacon I've ever had and it was delicious (and surprisingly it didn't leave much grease in the pan). Definitely stop in and check this place out!

I have seen this store time and time again while traveling but never stopped in. Recently, i was asked to pick up some items for someone and had to visit the store. The store was really nice and clean and did not smell at all like raw meat. They have a variety of meats and they look very appetizing. I will definitely have to stop in here again and pick up some items for myself. The staff were super helpful and nice. I highly recommend a stop if you are ever passing through Ashburn, GA and want to try and/or take home some wonderful southern treats.

RV Park is a parking lot configuration all pull thrus. Looks like it could accommodate any size rig. Close to freeway so there is a little road noise but just fine for an over nite stay. Full hook ups too

The hot pan sausage is excellent. They have a great variety of 'made in house' sausage and bacon varieties. Definitely worth a stop. A convenient FHU RV park is attached and it offers a $10 coupon for each night stay. Free sausage! Don't miss the ribs next door at Ponders!

Every time we go by this place, we ALWAYS stop & buy some specialty meats such as rabbit, frog legs, smoked meats like ham hocks, pork chops, bacon, ham, etc. We even like their cheeses. There is a whole array of specialty products. Their prices are reasonable, place is clean, friendly helpful staff, great location, plenty of free parking.

This WAS a good place to stop over with good breakfasts. Now the breakfasts are only half cooked foil rapped sandwiches instead of sausage and gravy etc. I hope new restaurant owner will be better but he said they will not be open for breakfast. Bummer!

(305) I'm a big Burly man! One look at me and you will sense that I love to eat. I love good food, and I know good food when I see and taste it. If you're in the Ashburn Georgia area it's a no-brainer to stop by and get a fresh sausage sandwich from Carroll's sausage. If you're not in the area it's just as easy to order online. The place is clean, well maintained and the associates are very knowledgeable about their products. Bottom line, it's the real deal Holyfield! You have my word on that.

The store carries all kinds of food products like local honey, snacks, wine, gifts. They even have RV hookups on the property. Snap a pic with the world's largest peanut statue too!

We stopped at the GA/FL Rest Stop on I-75 going North bound. They had sample sausage and jam. It was really good and the Mrs said we were stopping at their store some 77 miles away. Like many have already said.. lots of great meats, homemade sausage, jam's, etc. Really really neat country store with so much to offer. We even had a late lunch there and was very tasty. We highly recommend and definitely will be back.

We have stopped there 2 times on our way out of Georgia. The best sausage yet by far is the Vidalia onion and cheese. I don’t like onions but they somehow managed to make me like it. Peppered bacon is fantastic!! Many things in the store are a bit pricey, but the sausage and bacon are worth the stop.

We stop at Carroll’s a couple of times a year and stock up. We started just getting the medium sausage patties. Now, we load up on meat sticks, stuffed mushrooms, stuffed pork chops, stuffed jalapeños, pork chops, filets and ribeye steaks. And I can’t forget their brand of Baby Pickled Beets - these are the best. They will vacuum seal anything and in the quantities that you want which is great to be able to just throw in the freezer when we get it home. The best part is the employees who are all super friendly and helpful.

I make the trip every other week. Best Ny Strip/ Ribeye. Best overall in my opinion to buy meats, and the bacon wrapped mushrooms stuffed with sausage are delicious. I also like to keep the pantry filled with their jellies and jams, with a big variety of selections to choose from. Staff will custom pack your order, and have always taken good care of me when visiting.
