They have Boarshead meats and great prices on everything! First time shopping but a Very good meat selection and 1/4 lb hot dogs!!!! Small location and if you arent paying attention you will miss it!

***Great*** prices, meat is not frozen (although, personally, I could give two flying cahoots about frozen/unfrozen), chickens (& chicken pieces) are smaller than the typical supermarket chickens (I'd say about 2/3rd to 3/4 the size of Publix chicken), but I assume this is down to lack of growth accelerators. Staff is always friendly and helpful, they've got GREAT bulk prices if you have the freezer space (we unpack whole chickens into ziplock bags to make them fit in the freezer), and the beef & pork is usually labeled w/ things like "great for the grill" or "great in the oven". I'm rambling, but it's nearly midnight, and I'm craving a steak. I'll be stopping by at my earliest opportunity t'row. (I guess that "never frozen" will finally come in handy since I don't have to thaw it after buying). Oh, and they have fairly thick bacon for like $4.99/lb (most places are like $7.++ for some paper-thin bacon). And either their scale isn't working, or their using some other kind of pound, because it almost seems like the same number of slices as the thin stuff, even though they both weigh one "pound". Cut up whole chickens are ~$4.xx (sold by the pound but usually low to mid $4), compared to ~$9++ at many grocery stores. Buy in bulk and I think it equates to $1.++ for a whole chicken. Man, I really need that steak...

I love shopping here because the prices are good. Not always a wide selection pretty much the same old meats. I thought they were a butcher but they receive meat fresh daily, sometimes frozen.

I would give no stars if I could, went to this shop as I am on a very restrictive diet that requires me to eat grass fed meats with no hormones, no one in the store had any idea what their meats had or could provide any details. It is shocking to me that you can have a specialty store but have no idea what is in what you are selling.

I love their meats, sometimes they have specials, sometimes not but I prefer what they have over publix, walmart, dixiewinn, whatever. Over the last month I have compared meats there vs other places and I swear it is way better. For example, thin sliced pork from publix... it's okay, kind of tough/chewey, when I got it from Choice Meats.... it was a lot more tender. I did the same marinating procedures, cooked it the same way. T-Bones from them are amazing, and I got their breakfast sausage in the glass case. I got that because where I go in the adirondack mountains they have the best breakfast sausage ever, I saw that and it reminded me of fish creek (in the adk's where I get the sausage) so I picked it up. It wasn't as good, but it was pretty damn close and very tasty. Good prices, I get their soy sauce Teriyaki sauce too in the blue bottle... MMMM, and FYI this is the first 5 star I have ever rated on google before.

I was looking for a particular cut for slow smoking. My first visit there was impressive. ..they had great variety and grades ...I found what perfect cut and a great price. I didn't ask but I'm sure if they don't have out in the coolers they will cut you what you need. This is my place for specialty meats ... smoking and bbq meat HQ! PICTURES 7lbs Shoulder... the fat cap was perfect ...bone pulled out with ease. ..Shoulder clasped. .. meat pulled effortlessly with a fork.

So happy a friend told me about Choice Meats. The meats are fresh, tasty and clean. The bigger super market's meats are not as fresh. The bones in the meats in the larger Super Markers are usually black, but Choice Meats looks and tastes fresh.The taste reminds me of living on the farm, where we alway had fresh sweet meat to cook. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CHOICE MEATS. PLUS, YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE SUPER NICE TOO.!! Thank you guys

Wanted me to put $100 deposit down on a whole pig but wouldn't be able to tell me the size of the pig until after they receive it. So, if the pig wasn't big enough or too big, I'd be SOL by either not getting one big enough, or paying for more than what I need and the deposit is non refundable.

Very convenient to home. I love buying my catfish from here. But the last time I was here, no one greeted me as the two ladies at the front were to busy talking about how ones landlord made her move out her house without notice and the other one saying how that was illegal. I stood there for at least five minutes listening to this, then the lady just looked at me with no smile and said what do I want. She rolled her eyes saying I hope you didn’t want honey ham cause I’m out. Wow, no customer service at all!

I LOVE this meat market. When I go I get enough to put in my freezer. Their whole chickens are perfect for beer-can chicken on the grill. Always fresh and their prices are unbelieable. But most importantly their service is top notch!! If you don't see it in their case they will get it for you! :)
