We thought this was a great place too! Until my African American friend went there and was told they would be right with him. Couple minutes later some Caucasian people came in and they took care of them before him!! He has been frequenting this establishment since 1972 and the treatment he received today was simply horrible! If it were possible I would have given them zero!! One is too much star for them!!

Best place to get fresh meats in this area! The also make their own soups and lasagna, shells and alot of other items. They also have fresh lunchmeat and some fresh veggies! The staff are so friendly and helpful!

I am so glad a new neighbor recommended this place. I had never heard of it before December 2012. Their meatball special cannot be beat -- for $29.99 you get a huge bag of frozen homemade meatballs that you just stick in the oven; a giant can of marinara sauce; and a huge bag of Amarosa rolls. Best part of the special is that I can actually enjoy my company on game day! Love this place!

I’ve been a patron of Tweedys since I was a little girl. I remember going there when there was sawdust on the floor and they had pretzel rods for children who came in with their parents. I live quite a distance from there now. When I go, I load up on meatballs and country sausage because I remember eating them 40 years ago. It reminds me of my childhood. The staff is always accommodating and always offer to help me carry my load to the car. They have the best freshest meats and rolls. Much better than any commercial butchers.

I have heard a lot about this place. I decided to come here and get some meats and a dinner that was frozen. I told the gentleman behind the counter what I wanted. He asked if I would be freezing the meats or am going to use them today. Then he put the meat on the counter, When I went to go grab it and he snagged it back saying you have to pay first. I thought that was a little bit crazy, Not that I had to pay first, but in the aggressive manor in which he grabbed it back. I was a dad by himself with an infant and a 4year old I wasn’t going to be sprinting out of there with my NY strip and pork chops. Anyway, I just chalked it up to well that’s how it’s done here not a big deal at all. Then I went to go pay my bill probably came to about a total of 50+ dollars. He took my card and put it through. Then the screen said enter pin for debit or BYPASS by pressing enter for credit... pretty standard. Well my bank charges me two dollars every time I use debit so I figured I’m going to use credit and I pressed enter. At this time the gentleman behind the counter told me every time that you use credit it charges Roy Tweedy’s five dollars I kind of gave him uncomfortable “Ha”. Which he proceeded to make me feel even more uncomfortable by saying “this isn’t a joke it’s how we stay in business”. I then said “Well it shouldn’t be an option for me to choose credit” and he said “it wasn’t”... I was very shocked that this is the kind of customer service that is being represented here. I am all for supporting local businesses but when the customer service Is so disrespectful, confrontational, and uninviting I will take my money elsewhere. I am sorry you don’t treat customers like that. Also my transaction went through so.... they do accept credit and it was an option. Very disappointed I will not be returning.

I tried to buy ravioli that my son likes with my debit card and I was instructed by an employee, (with a look and voice of complete condasention and disgust) to buy something else too so I could meet the $10 minimum requirement for a debit card purchase in front of EVERYONE. Unfortunately I could not afford to buy something else and I felt like a complete jerk*** and left with my head down ashamed and embarrassed. I am not a cheap penny pincher. I am a hard working Army Vet that sometimes does not have more than $10.00 in my account. I sincerely apologize for being too poor to buy ravioli Roy Tweedy. I will never waste your time again.

I want to R.T. frequently when I lived in Delco, PA. Now that I live in Columbus, OH, there is absolutely, NOTHING like it. In particular, I really miss the meatballs. They were like Grandma made, DELICIOUS. Next to, Philly Cheese Steaks, and the Booths Corner farmers market, Roy Tweedys is an icon of Eastern PA.

My family has been shopping here since I was a kid. It's one of those finds where traditions aren't lost. I now shop here for my family. My Italian grandmother loves their meatballs so much, she sometimes passes them off as her own! Only negative I can find is they are too busy! (If that is even a negative!). The frozen meatballs are sometimes not shaped like balls, rather an odd shape. Other than that...awesome food, very fresh. Good 'Ole fashion place.

Been shopping there for years. Quality meats at very reasonable prices. Boars head cold cuts are very good and cheaper compared to other sellers. Shop around yourself to compare. Never a long wait because they are staffed well. Nice people. Always been very friendly with me.

I buy fresh meat here every week. It is expensive by couple of dollars per pound when compared to supermarkets, but i dont mind paying for quality. Look out for their 5lb specials which is a bit cheaper. Meat tastes better here thats all it matters! Removing a star since they are not able to attend customers with patience when crowded, which is quite understandable.

There’s never a stupid question at Roy Tweedy’s! I’m not very adept at food prep or culinary ideas but their service is impeccable, the smiles are welcoming, the food is always fresh (or frozen, if you prefer :) The older gentleman, heavy set with glasses (I believe he used to be a chef), is always helpful and knowledgeable about all types of food. It really is a hot spot for the locals and no doubt, it’s because of their great service and delicious food. Wouldn’t want to shop for meats, fresh or frozen, anywhere else!
