I order from here almost every morning because it is close to my job. However, I will never order from them again. I have had a number of different unsatisfactory experiences with them messing up my order but never taking responsibility for their mess ups. I hate poor customer service because i expect to be treated with courtesy as a consistent customer. Just the worst! Never spending my money here again! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

The service is horrible, they get orders wrong all the time, they make you wait on hold way to long to place an order, and you tell them and they do nothing to improve. I stopped ordering and I was a regular customer

I had a fresh fruit platter ordered for a family birthday over Labor Day weekend. I called on a Friday, And they were happy to do this for pickup on Sunday. The platter was for 25 people. It was a very nice large size and looked beautiful. Everybody at our party gave wonderful compliments and asked me where I got this. The fruit was extremely fresh and delicious. The variety of fruit was excellent. I was happy to tell people there I got it at your shop in Newtown Square. I love shopping in your store for your meets, cheese, deli and groceries. Also, I have had other times over the years I ordered for family get togethers. The food is always delicious, fresh and well prepared. Your store, catering, and friendly service are the best In Italian cuisine on the Main Line.

Dear Luigi and Giovanni Owners and Maria , I went into the store tonight around 5:30. I went into the prepared foods area just to pick up a few things for my dad, as I have done many times in the past. I stood there for 5 minutes with my son,( we were the only people in the store at the time) while 3 workers just plain ignored us. No hello, or may I help you, or just even what can I get you.. just banter between the 3 workers. Maria was one of them. She just turned her back on us , while another female worker complained about an order that was placed( by a person wanting catering) and she walked away, and some young kid stood with his back to us. I waited and waited until finally I just walked out. The young girl at the register asked if everything was alright, I told her no. "I cannot get any service, no one will wait on me"..she was going to run back and get their attention, but we just continued to walk out. I will NEVER spend another dime at Luigi and Giovanni ever again. I have frequented L&G many times but never again. Believe me I will tell all of my friends about the experience. I will go down to Ardmore to Carlino's and spend my money there. At least they have service. Hire new staff and get rid of Maria.

Extremely disappointed again. I ORDERED 5 Lbs veal scallopini and again, they tried to overcharge me. They were going to charge $91 when I was told at time of order around $60. They ended up charging me $69. When I Got home, there was very little veal..only peppers and tomatoes. My guests were shocked. This is the second time they did this and I will never go back.

This place is a good place to go to however I’ve noticed the employee there was PHENOMENAL. I believe her name was Elizabeth. She was AMAZING with the service and I’ve seen this employee do pretty much everything everytime and I’m quite astonished. Highly recommend!! Love seeing hard working employees!!! 10/10

Not impressed at all. Ordered the meat loaf dinner to go. It had no sauce. When i asked for sauce i had to wait about 7 minutes. At which point i realized they must be making it. She then came out with a container of liquidy au jus type brown gravy...and the meat loaf was only ONE 1/2 inch thick slice which was not very good. Fail.

They're racist here, I'm African American and went in with my Caucasian friend. I ordered 1st of 5 others including my friend. Everyone recieved their food and left before mine and all I ordered was a hoagie. I'm not sure if it had to do with race but it sure as hell seemed like it. A hoagie doesn't take 20 mins. Don't even take 10 mins

Second time going there! Meat very good so far. Just have beef Soup on for the games. Made roast and vegetables, carrots, celery, Onions, fresh parsley, marrow bones and 2 large Hunts tomato sauce. Delish!

They have some decent stuff in here but the place needs a cleaning badly. very dirty establishnent. Everything is overpriced. $6 for a loaf of Sarcones bread...are you kidding? I can get it for $2.50 at sarcones & its fresh.

Food was very good, but our order was wrong. We had a terrible experience and the service was the worst I ever encountered. The price was high considering the terrible workers that were working. We were told our meal included specific items, it did not. When questioning the food presented we were told we should know how it comes. We do not recommend these bad hosts! The very, very best Sunday pork you'll ever have! Sesame rolls were delicious! The service was PHENOMENAL!! The owner couldn't have been more helpful! I don't get to Newtown Square very often, but when I do, I always stop in Luigi &Giovanni. Always! You won't be disappointed!
