No one had tamales in Italian Market (which is super close to me) I was having a really bad pregnancy craving and I called them 10 minutes before closing and they made me two hot tamales that were sooooo good and waited for my husband to pick them up before they closed up so I think for that they deserve 5 stars

This is my tamale destination in philly. I get them still cold and reheat later for a quick dinner. Comes with great salsa too

BEWARE! I got a pound of their famous barbacoa to take home and cook at home. I got home and the meat smelled completely rotten. It smelled like it had turned and it was slimy. I made 3 attempt to call them to tell them what had happened and got hung up on twice and the third time they said they didn't understand. I've only had their food cooked in the restaurant, this was the first time taking it home. I completely wasted $21 dollars and was sick to my stomach for most of the day.
