This Butcher Shop belongs to the category of Gourmet grocery store.
Cozy small grocery. Nice, clean and appeared to be well maintained. Costs more than I am used to. Liked it but will go back my usual store.
Great market! Can't beat the variety of fresh veggies!
Excellent quality produce, meats, seafood, cheeses. Lots of specialty and imported items. Some general items are higher-priced than chain grocers, but can't beat the customer service and selection for the specialty items.
Great place to get meat and veggies. Cafe and ready to eat food are wonderful. If you are mindful of purchases this place does not have to beak the bank. Service is the best.
They have the best produce around, I even heard one of their lettuce sellers sometimes delivers the same day they pick.
Try lunch in the cafe. Great selection, generous portions, high quality and reasonably priced!
Very good place.
Great spot for Breakfast, or lunch, in addition to being a great grocery store
Great little market... Love the aisles named after local roads. Old time feel... But a little pricy on certain items. Great little bakery... Cheese selection. Even a cafe on site.
Great upscale market
Why force a download of your specials? I want to look, not keep it. Will not return.

I'm not real familiar with this store but I know it is extremely expensive and some of the fish is $35 a pound and I purchased some mixed fruit in a medium bowl that was $10.42
Always fresh veg, you can get what you need instead of 5# bags. Prepared food is top notch, the bakery is outstanding.
An excellent up scale market, better quality than chain markets, excellent service. You get what you pay for.
Always fresh
The prepared food selection is incredible - always inspiring. The cheese selection is top notch.
Whenever I visit my brother in Greenville this is where I shop. Their produce is always top-notch. They have a great selection of cheese's and the staff that can help you choose not to the best cheese but what wine you should consider. Christmas is coming up so I will be shopping here soon.
Very nice, very clean, well stocked, staff was helpful and friendly, public restrooms and cafe
Was a great place to work up Until a certain extent...They promised that I could ask questions and take it easy. After about a month they said they got tired of me. So I went into the back and people liked it there. There is a few people who I even let into my life. Most of them were good friends. It became a pitty party(in the produce section) and they said they got over worked. So I saw when no managers were around the amount of abuse they really put in. I am not their enemy. Nor do I want to be. But they did things that I said would get them into trouble....They after that made it a team issue. They did say it was okay to create issues. There is two of them who would curse at each other very loudly in the "office". Remember this guy said it was okay to ask questions. I did my best every day. But for him it was not good enough. One specific person said the N word to my face. A few moments later they then said to my face, "this store is S***, these cutomers....S***, this employment S***" mind you I didn't tell on him.....but when i "threw"(it was actually a gentle toss a veggie at a new worker), she inteded to MAKE it an issue. I don't know if any of these same people work there anymore. But I do know it wasn't fair. I am not blind to that. They threw produce against the wall and watched it explode. But when I decide I can find moldy food and throw it away they get offended at how I use my time. It is a fun place to work, but agreeing with certain higher leveled employees(really just people who worked there longer) is unreasonable and based upon nothing but looks, stereotypes, and agregations. Their logic is it's okay as long as the ambulence is not outside to pick you up and haul you out. I am not over exaggerating any of this. They can make it an issue of violence in any case, but when I get offended they want to park their keesters in my zone and start abruption. Not liking something should be fine but to them it is not. Asking questions should be fine, but to them it is not. The main issue I had was that this one person would go outside, smoke a cigarette, I came back inside and I know that obviously the smoke effect gets onto the greens and obviously it makes them dim. I saw an image of them getting brown and I'm suppsoed to pretend that that is okay because the customers over pay??? That is exactly how they think. Another instance was when I put some cardboard on the ground so that it would let the orange juice fall, and then I could easily take it outside later and the floor wouldnt have to make a mess. I got a few weird reactions, but they just don't know and work is supposed to be work and not always easy. So there. I saved them tons of time. I even offered side jobs to a few employees. ~This is Louis by the way you're welcome because I said I would work there for free and the big bossy guy's response was "well maybe you should!!!!" That is called intentionally hurting someone.
Quality is good but prices are generally about 75% more than normal supermarkets. Shop here only if price is no object and/or it is purely for convenience.
I like it. thumb up emoji
Good grocery experience but wildly overpriced.

As always, Janssen's is filled with quality people and products.
Not only is it a great store that is fun to visit, but their Florists did an excellent job on the beautiful centerpieces they prepared for my daughter's bridal shower. Thank you, Stephanie and the staff at Janssen's Market Floral Department for doing a terrific job.
Awesome
Great place to pick up lunch/dinner. The pre made food and catering is great. I didn't give 5 stars because it's usually more expensive for your average item than other places.
I will personally never be eating at this place ever again. If the food is prepackaged maybe but to go back in this establishment after what has happened will be a trigger without a doubt. On Friday (5/31) I ordered cheese fries and now (6/4) I have not stopped throwing up. I knew immediately it was due to the fries (I believe specifically the cheese) due to how fast it not only came about but the only thing I had that day was those fries and a few hours after eating them my stomach was in cramps. I have personally heard of others having a horrendous experience with Jansens food (bandaid in soup and throwing up due to coffee) so I highly would not recommend eating at this place. It’s a grocery place first so if you must buy prepackaged food but I don’t think I can step into the establishment without thinking of my poor experience.
...lots and lots of great stuff. Including "If you knew Sushi like I know Sushi..."!
Very nice market, great products to choose from
This market is beautiful. It is incredibly upscale, which I suppose is to be expected for Greenville. Because it is a bit pricey, I only go here for occasional treats.
Butchers and fishmongers and cheesemongers that celebrate the ingredients and artistry of the craft rather than reading the pamphlet the day and working knowledge of a band saw. I love this place!

OK, this is not the place for stocking up on everyday essentials, but if you're looking for tasty homemade bernaise sauce, decadent Shore Boys cream of crab soup, loads of gourmet "heat and eat" entrees, smoked meats, imported cheeses, etc., Janssen's is your one-stop market. Big plus is the ability to set-up an account so you can just pay your bill monthly.
The management team at Janssen's should hire spotters to see how clients, like myself is treated. They usually hire young adults, who do not exchange pleasantries no to they say, "Thank you" when they pass you your receipt. I go to whole foods and the staff is trained so much better. They say hello, how are you? Did you find what you needed today. Make small talk. Say, "Thank you"
Far too expensive for weekly grocery shopping.. BUT they have a great selection of ready to eat and specialty items that you can't find other places. The chocolate covered pretzels from the bakery counter are amazing!
Great market. I'd give it four stars but their hours kinda suck. Closed at 7pm? And 6pm on Sunday? Other than that this place is superb.
Fresh, new food, daily. Great Service, great everything.
I am a loyal customer for 35 years. Enjoy everything they have and Sunday breakfast after church.
I love Jansens. Great salad bar and soups. The chicken, veggie, and beef chili's are always great, too. Highly recommend. the food is SO good.
I was introduced to this place 4 years ago. Ate here a lot when I was in Delaware doing work off Kirk Road. Same thing, every time. Corn beef (cold), swiss and Russian dressing on rye. That is a corned beef special. Apparently either Delaware is the only state that doesn't know this or Jannsens just doesn't. Then I'd ask for mozza sticks. 50% of the time I'd get a hot sandwich. 80% of the time I got nearly frozen marinara. It got so bad that eight straight times we went my order was wrong. Myself and my coworkers all stopped going. Trainwreck where they make food.
Nice store. Very clean. Well stocked. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable.
I have had 2 last minute meetings where i needed cookie trays for 50 people and the bakery help me out both times! I really appreciate it!
