I have been coming to this Market once a week for over a year. I love the produce and fruit section, they even have a few bins for a dollar a bag for vegetables and fruits that are either unattractive, wilting or bruised. I take full advantage. There's always something new and interesting to try at the international aisle but the meat and seafood section not so much. If you are accustomed to markets like Whole Foods then this place is not for you. For me the drive from the rehoboth area to the Gigante Market is well worth it.

Good produce section, but store feels junky/dirty. Ice cream counter was closed by health dept, which further caused this feeling. Got an excellent deal on eggs, but realized why when 1 egg was totally and completely rotten, like black yolk surrounded by putrid water rotten...negligent. abt 90% of products are Latin American stuff, so the name is a bit misleading. Prices are good.

Great place for finding your Authentic Mexican products, Anywho, I was actually very excited to find Mexican Coca-Cola and Pepsi, amongst a bunch of other sodas. In case you've not traveled much, you may not be aware that soda in the good ol' USA is very lacking in taste because it's not made with real sugar, So it was great to find a local source of real mexican coke, complete with well worn and interesting glass bottles,

An excellent place to get hard to find Hispanic food in this area ( including some epic Tamarind paste candy I've not seen anywhere north of Texas until now ). Id say thier selection is probably the largest on Delmarva, but their prices ( particularly on produce ) are quite reasonable. In addition to a ton of Hispanic products, they also carry an eclectic mix of Asian products, such a Miso paste, which are equally difficult to find in this area. My only complaint would be thier baked goods have been stale everytime I purchase them, but all things considered I'd definitely reccomend shopping here.

I'm torn between the great products available and the feeling that I'm getting ripped off. Check your receipts before you leave. I have bought items advertised on sale on the floor only to be charged the full price at the cashier. Found the errors once I got home and didn't bother to go back. Will continue to shop but will be more diligent at the store. To the store manager, if items are on sale, educate your cashiers.

How do I take away the 1 star!! I've been in this store many times. It just gets like OMG and seriously! I'm looking for an item that they only carry so I'm in about 2x a week. I walk there with a rolling shopping cart sometimes. One day as I'm entering with my cart filled with purchases from another store and I'm doing my shopping, as I've done many times before, some employee comes up and grabs my cart telling me over and over that I have to leave it over somewhere. I could barely understand her English and I said take your hands off my cart please. I have been doing this for a while and if you need to see my receipt when I go it won't be a problem. My phone and wallet was inside of one of the bags! She was way rude! I left my cart with a friend because as I said I walked! If I was driving it would have been a different story! The stock of every day staples..i.e. milk and bread you are lucky if the freshness or sell by date hasn't past!

I was visiting family and stopped in on my walk. What a great store! I knew I had to haul anything I purchased over two miles in 90 degree heat. It was SO WORTH IT. Their candy isle is amazing, but the produce? I wish I lived closer. The review about the smell confuses me, because the store was very clean. I took a ton of photos, because their selection was so vast, I had to google some things at home. Their spice wall made me the happiest girl ever. Their staff was very friendly and helpful. Their prices are fantastic. I can’t wait for my next trip to Delaware to.... go to the grocery store!
